A friend of mine, a pastor, handed me a peculiar letter he had received and asked that I explain it's meaning. In large, black, ornatetype block print the heading announces : "Gifts of the Lord Presents to North America---The Archduke of Rome." The text of the letter is a "reading."
Upon investigation, Gifts of the Lord is revealed to be an occult spiritual outreach operation run by Rebecca Hardcastle Wright, PhD. Rebecca is a shaman, who in her letter explains that she crosses, "over to the spirit world and speaks with spirit guardians and guides." It may well be that the so-called Archduke of Rome is her spirit guide, making the "reading" knowledge channeled through Rebecca by the 'Archduke.'
Either Rebecca is a fake or she is not. If it is the latter, and upon investigation it appears that she is not a fake, then Rebecca is heavily demonized.
In addition to Gifts of the Lord, Rebecca operates the occult Institute for Exoconsciousness which she founded. The Institute is frequented by Hollywood and West coast types.
According to her website's "about" section, her mission is to research and apply the 'psychic' abilities of human consciousness sourced in extraterrestrial experience. She created the concept of Exoconsciousness to explain the extraterrestrial origins, dimensions and abilities of human consciousness. All of this means that Extraterrestrials are "god" or "lord" in the sense that Brahman or the Quantum Void is "god" and since "god" is within the brain of man then certain spiritually elite men and women such as Rebecca, are "gods" too, which is why according to Wright, Exoconsciousness is confirmation of humanity’s psychic connection with the Extraterrestrial Presence (Rebecca's concept of god and/or lord).
Rebecca belongs to a growing internationally connected group of Gnostic occult pagan spiritual elites who possess secret knowledge received from spirit guides, Masters, extraterrestrials and assorted demons. The members of this spiritual elite go by many names: seers, ascended masters, prophets, prophetesses, super apostles, pneumatics, perfecti, shamans, illuminati, god-men, mystics, magi and adepts. Rebecca describes herself as prophetess and shaman.
Over the past three hundred years, the Western Christian tradition has slowly but steadily been eclipsed, first by Gnostic pagan "scientific Darwinian materialism," now by Eastern-oriented occult scientific evolutionary pantheism which has infused and spiritualized the former, transforming it into an agency for the transmission of concepts of the naturalistic structure of the evolving universe of matter and psychic energy and other secret revelations from fallen angels and evil spirits. This legion of disembodied beings (fallen angels) call themselves everything from Transcended Masters to Maitreya, Semjase, Astar, the Council of Nine, Space Brothers and ancient Ennead of Egypt together with evil spirits going by such names as god, christ and jesus. All of this has led Martin Lloyd-Jones to declare:
"The modern world, and especially the history of the present century, can only be understood in terms of the unusual activity of the devil and the "principalities and powers" of darkness...In a world of collapsing institutions, moral chaos, and increasing violence, never was it more important to trace the hand of the "prince of the power of the air." If we cannot discern the chief cause of our ills, how can we hope to cure them?" The Christian Warfare
In the space of a few short decades occult New Age spirituality has made profound inroads. Its upsurge manifests itself in the form of everything from obsession with the paranormal, channeling cults, ghost-hunting, necromancy, light-bearers, spirit guides, goddess worship, shamanism, transcendental meditation and visualization, 'new' contemplative or centering prayer, the enneagram, labyrinth walking, yoga, Wicca, revitalized Norse paganism, transformational festivals, vampires, Ouija boards, poltergeists, the proliferation of 'new' religions and Lucifer as the Angel of Light:
"Medium and psychic Sylvia Browne admits there are dark entities that choose from the beginning to be this way, but she denies the devil. According to Browne, God sent Lucifer down to watch over people when God saw they had chosen "the dark side." According to Browne, "Lucifer is neither dark nor fallen. He wasn't rejected by God or banished from the light." (The Dark Side: Beyond Good and Evil, Marcia Montenegro, Christian Answers for the New Age)
Exoconsciousness is a part of this sweeping occult pagan social, religious, political, cultural movement that joins with consciousness scientists, energy healers, spiritual practitioners, paranormal researchers, channelers, Hindu god-men, yogis, and near death experiencers to spiritually transform Americans and eventually the world.
In pursuit of this agenda, Exoconsciousness normalizes psychic abilities, telepathy and ET contact as essential for the spiritually transformed 21st century human. According to Rebecca, Exoconscious humans possess psychic abilities, experience out-of-body inter-dimensional travel and identify themselves as cosmic beings.
In this emerging field of Exoconsciousness, Rebecca collaborates with consciousness scientists associated with Quantrek and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Moreover, her research has broad implications for occult Gnostic pagan brain-based neuroscience, technology-based transhumanism, and quantum-based cosmic consciousness
Currently she teaches Exoconsciousness on the faculty of International Metaphysical University (IMU) which specializes in shamanism, energy healing, Ufology, and psychic studies. She also created and taught one of the first courses on Ufology in the U.S. at Scottsdale Community College, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Furthermore, Rebecca is a frequent guest on radio talk shows, appears in films and is a featured keynote speaker.
Rebecca has extensive experience working with UFO and extraterrestrial contactees as a coach and hypnotherapist. This work inspired her to create the concept of Exoconsciousness. She trained with Ruth Hover, PhD, a pioneer ufologist who participated in Dr. John Mack’s professional organization PEER (Program for Extraordinary Experience Research).
Her graduate degrees include an MDiv in Philosophical Theology from Boston University School of Theology and a PhD in Parapsychic Science from American Institute of Holistic Theology. Her bachelor degree is in Philosophy and Religion from Otterbein University. Rebecca also studied Continental Philosophy at the Institute for European Studies in Basel, Switzerland. Her hypnotherapy and life coach certifications are from Southwestern Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona.
Rebecca--a shaman--- is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church and served as an inter-faith university chaplain at Wright State University in Ohio.
Shamanism is an occult pagan wisdom tradition (Romans 1:25) originating in ancient Chaldea (Babylon). Shamanism is associated with many diverse beliefs often based on monism (all is one; there is a life force uniting all creation) & pantheism (all is God, Quantum Void, World Soul, Brahman or Extraterrestrial Presence; the life force is God, Quantum Void, World Soul, Brahman or Extraterrestrial Presence).
According to the apologetics website, Christian Answers for the New Age, the occult normally involves the following:
1. Techniques to manipulate reality or to gain secret information: Sorcery/magick; calling on spirits for power; special rituals, spells or techniques to manipulate forces to bring about a desired result. There is no such thing as white magick, a term for magic used with good intentions. Although occultists make a distinction between black & white magick, God does not, as He clearly condemns all sorcery/magick.
2. Attempts to contact spirit beings (spiritism) such as angels, demons, departed souls, or those believed to be in other planes or dimensions. This is done using the Ouija Board, channeling, meditation, visualization, drugs or automatic writing. Some words in the Old Testament describing occult practices translate as "having a familiar spirit."
3. Drugs (especially hallucinogens such as LSD and mescaline) are often used to reach an altered state or hypnotic trance, a state desirable by occultists for visions, enhanced abilities, & spirit contact. Some words for sorcery in the Bible come from words for the use of drugs and potions.
4. Occult practices are strongly condemned by God; such practices lead away from God toward deception, danger and even destruction. Deuteronomy 18: 10-12:
"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you."
Leviticus 19:31 - Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD your God.
Exodus 22:18--- Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
Galatians 5:19-21 - Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery.....
Leviticus 20:27 - A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood [shall be] upon them.
Leviticus 20:6--- And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Isaiah 8:19--- And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
2 Chronicles 33:6-- - And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
1 Chronicles 10:13-- - So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, [even] against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking [counsel] of [one that had] a familiar spirit, to enquire [of it];
Acts 8:9-- - But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
2 Thessalonians 2:9---- [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
Ezekiel 13:6-9--- - They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made [others] to hope that they would confirm the word.
1 Samuel 15:23--- - For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.
Isaiah 19:3-- - And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
Daniel 2:27-- - Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise [men], the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
Deuteronomy 18:11--- - Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Today millions of Westerners are risking everything to seek the occult world and its' alluring power. In "One or Two?" Dr. Peter Jones, Director of truthXchange and Adjunct Professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary California writes that a wide variety of occult spirituality is now available. There is something for everyone:
"A Course in Miracles, Alchemy, American Indian Quest, Ancient Mythology, Arkashic Record, Aryuvedic Medicine, Astrology, Bahai'i Unity, Buddhism, Buddhist/Christian Dialogue, Chakras, Channeling, Christian Monastic Mysticism, Crystals, Divination, Dream work, Druidism, Eastern Meditation, Eckankar (soul travel), Ecofeminism, Enneagram, EST, Feng Shui, Gnosticism (ancient and modern), Goddess worship, Hare Krishna, Hermeticism, Higher Self, Hinduism, Holism, Human Potential Movement, Hypnosis, I Ching, Iridology, Jungian Transpersonal Psychology, Kabbalah, Karma, Mandalas, Mantras, Mind-altering drugs, Parapsychology, Past Life Regressions, Reiki, Re-incarnation, Religious syncretism, Rolfing, Sacred Technologies, Santeria, Scientology, Shamanism, Sufism, T'ai Chi, Tantrism, Tarot Cards, Teilhardism, Therapeutic Touch, Tikkun, Transcendental Meditation, Ufology, Urantia Book, Visualization, Wicca, Yoga, Zen." (pp. 40-41)
In Jones recently published book "The Other Worldview," endorsed by RC Sproul and promoted by Ligonier, Dr. Jones observes that the millennial generation is the first to be immersed from birth within a coherently anti-biblical, occult pagan system:
"In many areas of the United States and in its educational institutions, this generation has been given a worldview based on the presuppositions of paganism and an outright rejection of God, the personal Creator. For many young people (occult pagan) voices have drowned out serious consideration of the Christian worldview, which is now vilified---as the source of all kinds of evil. Thus, traditional Western culture is under siege, and the immediate casualties are the millennials, who have unwittingly been seduced by aging progressives." (p. xvii)
How can we speak to a generation steeped in old occult paganism dressed in new clothes? Dr. Jones answer (and mine) is by a robust God-honoring cosmology and by a thorough unpacking of the meaning and essence of the pagan "lie" in order that we may then show the full extent of the Way, Truth, and Life---the only way forward. Jones comments:
"We Christians need a deep understanding of both the gospel and the pagan system around us---the system into which the gospel speaks and which it unequivocally judges so that it may fully redeem."
