A man sleeping on a Greyhound bus as it rolled across the Canadian
Prairies was killed and decapitated by his seatmate on Wednesday night,
other passengers on the bus told the media.

BRANDON, Man. — Screaming passengers fled in terror from a Greyhound
bus as an unidentified fellow passenger suddenly stabbed a man sleeping
next to him, decapitated him and waved the severed head at horrified
witnesses standing outside.
The apparently unprovoked assault left 36 men, women and children
stranded Wednesday night on the shoulder of the darkening Trans-Canada
Highway near Portage la Prairie, Man., about 85 kilometres west of
Winnipeg, watching while the bus driver and a driver of a nearby truck
shut the crazed attacker inside the bus with the mangled victim.

Commentary

And no one was armed, of course.   But then, or so goes modernity’s Leftist/Progressive feel-good myth, man is ‘born good’ and only does bad things because unseen sources of evil make him do them.   What are these sources of evil? According to the evolutionary myth, man contains all of the genetic material from all of the past things from which he has evolved.  This means that he contains genetic material from prehistoric bacteria, plant life, lizards, dung-beetles, and mammals, among other things.

Man then, is a machine controlled by his genetic material.  He is an innocent victim of genetics.  He has no volition (free will). This is why self-defense and capital punishment are viewed as evils.  In
fact, they  are cruel and unusual punishment perpetrated against helpless human animals.  

What we need to do, so goes the myth, is understand what served as the catalyst to the bad behavior. According to the Progressive myth, the usual catalysts are, among other things, Christianity, traditional morality, traditional sexual ethics, poverty, traditional family, and private property.   The solution to all of these ills are Progressive ’systems’ devised by ‘experts.’  But in order to build these ’systems,’ certain actions must be undertaken: redistribution of wealth, eradication of Christianity in totality, destruction of traditional family, normalization of homosexuality, feminization of males, and so on. In short, traditional values America must be totally destroyed.  Only then can utopia, or ‘kingdom of heaven on earth’ rise out of the ashes.

The truth is that the view of man briefly described above is nothing more than a reinvention of the ancient pagan view of man disguised as evolutionary scientism. Genetic control of man (known as Determinism) is simply ancient pagan fatalism.  Whereas ancient man was controlled by the Fates, today the Fates are genes.

When the West still adhered to its Judeo-Christian worldview, it was understood that, as Solzhenitsyn
said, “evil cuts through the heart of every man.”   Believing that to be
true, society held that every man possesses free will and is therefore personally accountable for the evils he
commits. 

Capital punishment and self-defense, which means as well the carrying of weapons, was simply common sense.   As a civilization the West was not perfect, but then man is imperfect and incapable of creating perfection.   

Even so, Western society was reliably safe and decent; children could freely play outside; windows could be left open at night; parks were for families and other law-abiding folk.

We’ve allowed the “God is dead” insanity and evil unleashed by the
French Enlightenment to overtake the West.   The ACLU enforces it. It’s evils are taught in schools and universities; preached daily via TV and news venues; enacted as ‘law’ (ie. hate crime law, speech codes).    It has leveled everyone down to something less than
animals even as it lifts apes above us.
It has spread its obscenity,unnaturalness, blasphemy, and pornographic filth the length and breadth of society.   Evil in fact, has become cool.  It’s madness has stupified us and leaves us helpless in the face of other
evils, such as this latest atrocity on the Greyhound bus.    The West is
being readied for the committing of evil on a mass scale.   If we think
the holocaust cannot happen here we are fooling ourselves.
