America Under Judgment

A California attorney has proposed a controversial ballot initiative that calls for the execution of homosexuals. Matt McLaughlin's Sodomite Suppression Act also bans advocating for LGBT rights to minors, punishable by a $1 million fine, up to 10 years in prison, and expulsion from the state.  California Attorney General Kamala Harris will likely grant it a title and summary, according to Vox. If McLaughlin can secure at least 365,000 signatures, the initiative could appear on the ballot in November 2016.   (California lawyer proposes ballot initiative to execute gays, Christian Today Staff Writer, Mar. 24, 2015)
McLaughlin wrote in his proposal:
"Seeing that it is better that offenders should die rather than that all of us should be killed by God's just wrath against us for the folly of tolerating wickedness in our midst, the People of California wisely command, in the fear of God, that any person who willingly touches another person of the same gender for purposes of sexual gratification be put to death by bullets to the head or by any other convenient method..."
Sen. Ricardo Lara and other politicians are already working to get McLaughlin disbarred because of his effort. According to Lara's upside-down pseudo-morality, attorneys must show "good moral character" to maintain their job,  meaning tolerance and affirmation of sodomy, sado-masochism, sodomizing children and so forth equals "good moral character." An investigation into McLaughlin's obviously "amoral" background is underway.
According to Matt, God is not going to leave America unpunished for not only allowing this sin (among so very many others) to flourish in our midst but also for allowing our children to be explicitly taught by LGBT organizations in our schools to engage in it as well.

With respect to Matt's advocacy of the death penalty for sodomites, ought not a sin-sick society and its' people not repent of their own constant and grievous sins rather than putting just some sinners to the sword?   Moreover, ought not repentance begin in the Church?  As God does judge nations and people for not obeying his Word, His judgment begins with the weak, waffling, accommodating and apostatizing Church:

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"  1 Peter 4:17 King James
With respect to His judgment, the pre-flood world and post-flood Sodom and Gomorrah should be the first to come to mind:
"Rabbi Huna said in the name of Rabbi Joseph, "The generation of the Flood was not wiped out until they wrote marriage documents for the union of a man to a male or to an animal."  Genesis Rabbah 26:4-5; Leviticus Rabbah 23:9
"Rabbi Hiyyah taught: The passage reads 'I am the Lord, your God' two times---I am the One Who punished the generation of the Flood, and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Egypt; and in the future I will punish those who do as they did.  The generations of the Flood were kings, and were wiped off the earth when they were soaked in sexual sin."  Leviticus Rabbah 23:9
"And what did they do?  A man got married to a man, and a woman to a woman, a man married a woman and her daughter, and a woman married...two men.  Therefore it is said, 'And you shall not walk in their statutes."  Sifra Acharei Mot, Parashah 9:8
God wiped them off the earth when they were soaked in sexual sin.  But idolatry preceded and actually paved the way for the rest:
"In this way, even by magic...they were supposed in the first and literal idolatry to become gods."  Tertullian Treatise on the soul 57
In the original pre-flood idolatry antediluvians believed the snake's lie that after the death of their bodies they would spiritually evolve into gods.  The way was open for them to spiritually evolve by actualizing the god-force within their own hearts.    After all, according to the snake the original Creator God no longer existed because He had emptied Himself into creation so that all that existed was a universal divine force.  (Ancient Paganism: The Sorcery of Fallen Angels, Ken Johnson, Th.D., p. 35)
God no longer existed, that is until they found out differently---when it was too late:
"And they called to Noah, saying, Open for us that we may come to thee in the ark---and wherefore should we die?  And Noah, with a loud voice, answered them from the ark, saying, Have you not all rebelled against the Lord, and said that he does not exist?"   Jasher 6:18-19
Ideas have consequences.  Like the pre-flood generations post-Christian America and W. Europe have replaced the Triune God of creation and life with anti-creation, mathematical, geometric evolutionary cosmologies stripped of the supernatural and miraculous.  Types of these neo-pagan cosmology's of worldview or network of plausibility structures are embraced by evolutionary theists, progressive creationists and global mystical pantheist alike and allow trans-humanists such as Jeremy Rifkin, an adviser to the European Union since 2002 and head of the largest global economic development team to brazenly declare:

“We no longer feel ourselves to be guests in someone else’s home and therefore obliged to make our behavior conform with a set of preexisting cosmic rules. It is our creation now. We make the rules. We establish the parameters of reality. We create the world, and because we do, we no longer feel beholden to outside forces…..We no longer have to justify our behavior, for we are now the architects of the universe. We are responsible for nothing outside ourselves, for we are the kingdom.” (Paganism in Today’s Culture,” Dr. Peter Jones)

The predisposing foolishness, corruption, and idolatry resides in foundational ideations of these cosmologies. In the rejection of the supernatural Triune God of Revelation and the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo resides the inability to account for the origin of life, of man's spirit (Imago Dei), God's Law, immutable truth, moral absolutes, fixed meaning, and purpose (Psalm 115:4-8). And with the rejection of the literal and historic elements of the Book of Genesis comes the logical rejection of the necessity of the Gospel and the Incarnation (the historical Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity).  With rejection of the Incarnation and Gospel comes the loss of salvation and the inability to logically account for and defend the two sexes. Thus the fate of idolatrous evolutionary naturalists, be they faux Christian or otherwise, is to not only fall into moral relativism and superstition but to eventually give way to the demands of unrestrained libido – including the use of children for the sexual gratification of adults. And these are the crimes against nature said Augustine,

"(which are the) crimes of the men of Sodom (and if) all nations in the world committed them they would all stand guilty of the same crime against the Law of God, which did not design men so that they should use each other this way." (Confessions of St. Augustine, p. 49)
America's apostasy, idolatry, occult paganism, pan sexuality, rampant abortion and drug use and other sins are eerily similar to the pre-flood generation, Sodom and Gomorrah and Egypt, noted for its' occultism.  Will God judge America?

"---I am the One Who punished the generation of the Flood, and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Egypt; and in the future I will punish those who do as they did.."   Rabbi Hiyyah

According to Evangelical preacher John MacArthur, because America’s sins are already akin to that of Israel’s our nation is under divine judgment:

Materialism, drunkard pleasure seeking, arrogant conceit, defiant sinfulness, moral perversion, and corrupt leadership… Do you not see [them] in America?”  (John MacArthur Says America Is Under Divine Judgment, Anugrah Kumar, Christian Post Contributor, June 2011)

MacArthur identified Israel’s six sins leading to six curses on that nation from Isaiah 5, saying those misdeeds were not isolated to Israel:

“I look at America… people say what is wrong with this country. That is what’s wrong with this country. Right there. They have rejected the Word, the law of the Lord, the Holy One Himself.”

Talking about the sin of arrogant conceit, he said America was guilty, too. It is,

“when a society does not want to hear from God, but wants to be its own authority where every man does that which is right in his own eyes and feels that he is the ultimate authority, he is the ultimate source of truth..."

MacArthur added that America has corrupt leaders, too. The Hebrew words for “heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks,” as mentioned in Isaiah 5:22, refers to corrupt leaders:

“What do we have here? We have here, folks, Anthony Weiner type people…corrupt leaders. Is there ever any end to this corruption…who literally prostitute their position and justify wicked people for a bribe and take away the rights of the innocent people…politicians and leaders who can be bought.

So what is divine punishment?  In answer, McArthur quoted Isaiah 5:5-7:

“Now I will tell you what I am going to do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it will be destroyed; I will break down its wall, and it will be trampled. I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it.”
