Ecclesiastes: Things Reckoned New & Scientific by Evolutionists & Sophisticated Theologians Are Not So

In a 2012 editorial, "The Genesis Problem," New Scientist editors admit that physicists have been fighting a rearguard action against the Big Bang theory for decades, largely because they believe it has theological overtones. After all, if you have an instant of creation, don't you need a creator?   Adding fuel to anti-Big Bang anxieties are sophisticated theologians eager to embrace and conform the Word of God to evolutionary science.

Now however, if a "new" yet very ancient theory turns out to be true, the universe may not have started with a bang after all and Big Bang sophisticates from Pope Francis to Tim Keller, Francis Collins, Leonard Sweet and many others will be faced with ruin and disgrace.

In the new formulation, the universe was never a singularity, or an infinitely small and infinitely dense point of matter. In fact, the universe may have no beginning at all:

"Our theory suggests that the age of the universe could be infinite," said study co-author Saurya Das, a theoretical physicist at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.  (Big Bang, Deflated? Universe May Have Had No Beginning, Yahoo US, March 2, 2015)

The idea that the evolving universe of matter and psychic energy (the Divine One Substance) has always existed is a common thread running through ancient Chaldea, Egypt, Greece, and Rome in the West to mystical pantheist philosophies in the East and Mormonism in America.

Joseph Smith taught that matter (the One Substance) is eternal and the Mormon God Elohim had no power to create out of nothing. Elohim merely reorganized the already present elements of the One Substance (aka Void, Brahman, Quantum Void), which have no beginning or end and cannot be destroyed:

"Since Mormons believe that the elements are eternal, it follows that they deny the ex nihilo creation." (Encyclopedia of Mormonism 1:400).

Like a dog returning to its own vomit, modern evolutionary physicists are returning to the ancient Godless cosmogony espoused by Mystery Religion Babylon, mystical Cabbalism, Gnosticism, the Essenes, Egyptians, and other occult traditions and sciences.

For example, with the Egyptians' self-created Sun-God Ra, the eternally existing divine abyss or One Substance out of which he evolved is Nu — or Joseph Smith's primordial matter:

"I came into being from primordial matter...I made all the forms under which I appeared by means of (or out of) the god-soul which I raised up out of Nu (i.e., the primeval abyss of water.) (The Long War Against God, Dr. Henry Morris, p. 243)

The godless cosmogony of Kabala teaches the gradual condensation or evolutionary progression of an eternally existing primal psychic substance (the One Substance) emanating into visible matter.  This is a fundamental,

"... doctrine of the Cabala (and) is the ancient Semitic conception of the ‘primal ocean,’ known to the Babylonians as ‘Apsu’ and called by the Gnostics βύθος =  (Anz, ‘Die Frage nach dem Ursprung des Gnostizismus,’ p. 98).

Like its’ Egyptian Hermetic counterpart, Kabala implies a process of emergent evolutionary transformation of one kind into another kind (macroevolution) from out of an eternally existing primal psychic substance:

“...the older Enoch book (gives) a fuller insight into the "Merkabah" and "Bereshit" lore of the ancients than the "Hekalot," which present but fragments, while the central figure of the Cabala, Meṭaṭron-Enoch, is seen in ch. lxx.-lxxi. in a process of transformation.” (Cabala, Jewish Encyclopedia)

The Kabalah is the key to the occult sciences; and the Gnostics were born of the Kabalists.” (Occult Mason Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma, p. 626)

According to Helena Blavatsky, one of the key architects of Luciferian New Age pantheism, Kabalah derived,

“.... from the older secret doctrines concerning divine things and cosmogony, which were combined into a theology after the time of the captivity of the Jews in Babylon. All the works that fall under the esoteric category are termed Kabalistic.” (Blavatsky, Theosophical Glossary, p. 168)

The Chaldean occult science and pagan Mystery Religion was embraced by apostate Jews during their captivity in Babylon and delivered to subsequent generations of Mystery Religion initiates by word of mouth. According to Blavatsky, these initiates of the Chaldean tradition in the centuries before Christ were known as Tanaim:

"The kabalist is a student of ‘secret science’, one who interprets the hidden meaning of the Scriptures with the help of the symbolical Kabala… The Tanaim were the first kabalists among the Jews; they appeared at Jerusalem about the beginning of the third century before the Christian era… This secret doctrine is identical with the Persian wisdom, or ‘magic’.” (Ibid. p.167)

The Essenes were also associated with the Kabala. The Jewish Encyclopedia describes the cabalistic practices of the Essenes, which were Judaized elements of Eastern mystical traditions:

So, too, were the Essenes familiar with the idea of the journey to heaven…and they were also masters of angelology. The practice of magic and incantation, the angelology and demonology, were borrowed from Babylonia, Persia, and Egypt; but these foreign elements were Judaized in the process, and took the form of the mystical adoration of the name of God and of speculations regarding the mysterious power of the Hebrew alphabet …, ‘the name of God creates and destroys worlds’, to become, finally, foundations of the philosophy of the ‘Sefer Yetzirah."  (Cabala, Jewish Encyclopedia)

According to Blavatsky the Essenes were pagan priests of the Greek goddess, Diana of Ephesus, where the Tanaim had established a college for instruction in the Chaldean mystery religion:

Essenes... had many Buddhistic ideas and practices; and it is noteworthy that the priests of the Great Mother at Ephesus, Diana-Bhavani with many breasts, were also denominated... It was at Ephesus where was the great College of the Essenes and all the lore the Tanaim had brought from the Chaldees... Essenes, believed in reincarnation.” (Theosophical Glossary, pp. 113-14; The Secret Doctrine, Vol. II, p. 111n)

Eventually Alexandria, Egypt became the epicenter of cosmological and pagan religious ideas as well as the intellectual meeting point between Greek Mystery Religion/Hermetic magic initiates and nature sages and guardians of Kabala.  After the fall of Jerusalem, Alexandria was the center from which occult pagan Jews would disguise their mystery tradition in Christian terminology and attempt to penetrate the fledgling Church with heresy.

One of the primary tactics employed by Cabbalist pagan Jews for this purpose is the same one employed by their modern evolutionary theist counterparts.   It involves the reduction of the Genesis account, particularly the first three books, to allegory and myth, a ploy that eliminates the physical Adam from which all people descended and the sin that he transferred to the rest of the human race. This strikes directly at the heart of the Gospel: the need for the ‘last Adam’ to provide for us an escape from the wrath of God against sin incurred by the first Adam.  In this way, not only is the work of Christ on the cross rendered superfluous, meaning the heart of the faith is ripped out, but God is made responsible for sin and evil. (1 Peter 3:18-22; 1 John 2:22)

Long ago, the teachings of some of the early Church Fathers regarding the apostasy toward the end of the church age predicted the reappearance of this evil tactic. The fathers categorized it a Gnostic pagan heresy.

In "Heresies 6.10" Hippolytus writes that the Gnostic pagan Simon Magus feigned faith and allegorized much of Scripture, especially Genesis, to support his evolutionary Hermetic and Gnostic occult pantheist teachings.   Church Fathers Ireneaus, Tertullian and Clement of Alexandria reveal that Gnostic cult leader Marcion rejected the Old Testament, taught that the God of the Old Testament and his prophets are evil, made God the author of sin and removed all references that Christ was Creator (John 1:1)   (Ireneaus, "Against Heresies 1.26, 5.1," Tertullian "Against Marcion 2.17," Clement of Alexandria, "Against Heresies 4.29)

Delusion

As it turns out, things reckoned new and scientific by deluded modern physicists and sophisticated theologians are not so; they were known and in use in ages past:

"That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, "See this, it is new "? Already it has existed for ages Which were before us. There is no remembrance of earlier things..."  Ecclesiastes 1: 9-11

Evolution: Anti-Creation Religion of Secular Atheists & Powerful Occult Pantheists

John 1:10 tells us that everything seen and unseen was created ex nihilo by the spoken Word of the Son of God. Jesus Christ is therefore God just as the Father and Holy Spirit are God, thus the Word of the Genesis account is Jesus Christ of the New Testament.  Jesus Christ is the Word.   His Word is Truth even as He Himself is Truth, the same today as yesterday and for always.

In the classic work "Earth's Earliest Ages" (1876), G.H. Pember, an English theologian, records that  men of the 19th century are returning to ancient wisdom traditions and thought is "sustaining its flight upon the wings of ancient lore."   Almost every characteristic of antiquity is returning:

"Open intercourse with demons is being renewed on a vast scale in the very heart of Christendom....numerous circles are carrying on magical practices (and the) ancient Mysteries (are being restored together with) mesmeric healings....astrology....and other practices....And, impossible as it would have seemed a few years ago, all these 'superstitions' are floating back....upon the tide of 'modern thought."   They come no longer veiled in mystery, "but in accordance with the spirit of the age, present themselves as the fruit of science...progress....and evolutionary philosophy."   (Earth's Earliest Ages, G.H. Pember, pp. 243, 245)

Today evolutionary philosophy and the ancient wisdom traditions undergirding it are promoted by modern practitioners as more than mere science. Evolution is promulgated as an ideology, a secular humanist religion, a "full-fledged alternative to Christianity" with meaning and morality, said Michael Ruse,

" I am an ardent evolutionist and an ex-Christian, but I must admit that in this one complaint—and Mr [sic] Gish is but one of many to make it—the literalists are absolutely right. Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today.… Evolution therefore came into being as a kind of secular ideology, an explicit substitute for Christianity."   Michael Ruse

Michael Ruse was professor of philosophy and zoology at the University of Guelph, Canada. He was the leading anti-creationist philosopher whose flawed arguments  convinced a biased judge to rule against the Arkansas ‘balanced treatment’ of creation and evolution in schools bill proposed in 1981. At the trial, he and other anti-creationists loftily dismissed the claim that evolution was an anti-god religion.  (creation.com)

As Ruse confessed though, evolution is an anti-creation religion, a "full-fledged alternative to Christianity."  It is promulgated by contemporary Western heirs of a rebellion against our Heavenly Father that emerged out of the Renaissance giving birth to an occult intelligentsia, open intercourse with spirits, astral plane travels, and Illuminism.  The mother of Illuminism is Babylon's Mystery Religion which teaches that man,

"...can evolve, through initiatory steps, into a god state himself." (New World Order: The Ancient Plan of Secret Societies," William Still, p. 27)

The goal of Illuminism is the transformation of human initiates into supermen  (god-men) who in turn will impose a worldwide totalitarian pagan and occult pantheist state.  During the 20th century Illuminism took the form of scientific socialism and scientific communism.  Today it is 'green' Technocracy, a scientific dictatorship calling for the radical transformation of traditional Western economics, government, law, energy, Christianity, and humanity which is why it maliciously fosters the atheism, amorality, envy, chaos, blood-letting and revolution necessary for undermining and overthrowing already existing governments.  (Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse of Global Transformation, Patrick M. Wood)

Scientifically Demonstrable Revelations

In the heart of Christendom at the time of the Renaissance the "alternative" originally took the form of occult pantheist humanism bespeaking evolution of divine spark or spirit to higher and higher states of god-consciousness.  Later on another form arose: evolutionary secular materialist  humanism.  While the former was blatantly occult and spiritually pantheist, the latter was essentially a de-spiritualized pagan materialism---a magical version of the former falsely presenting itself as demonstrable empirical science to masses of hopeless people.  Bereft of assurances of immortality after so great an attack on biblical revelation masses of hopeless people were "begging for a revelation which was scientifically demonstrable."  James Webb

One such 'scientific' revelation was provided by Karl Marx.  Marxs' secular-atheist dialectical-materialism (evolutionism) cannot be understood apart from the inventor of the dialectic system, master-magician G.W.F. Hegel. Hegel was an important member of the occult intelligentsia. He closely studied ancient and modern wisdom traditions including ancient Egyptian Hermetic magic and Babylonian Kabala as well as mesmerism, psychic phenomena, dowsing, precognition, and sorcery. He professed belief in a pantheistic Earth Spirit, and informally aligned himself with Hermetic societies, anti-Christian God Freemasons, and the pantheist-Rosicrucian's. (Hegel and the Hermetic Tradition, Glenn Alexander Magee, 2001)

Enrico Ferri (1856-1926) provides another scientifically demonstrable "revelation.  Ferri was a prominent socialist of his day and an Italian criminologist who for many years was the editor of Avanti, a socialist daily.  In "Socialism and Religious Beliefs"  Ferri confesses that in his scientific "revelation" divine miracle-producing 'knowing' energies animate ideological systems,

"....modern positive science...has substituted the conception of natural causality for the conception of miracles and divinity....I add that not only is Darwinism not contrary to socialism, but that it forms one of its fundamental scientific premises. As Virchow justly remarked, socialism is nothing else than the logical and vital outcome partly of Darwinism and partly of Spencerian evolution." (Marxists.org)

In another example of a scientifically demonstrable "revelation," Gustav Wetter expounds on the magical 'mental' and 'divine' properties animating and informing nonliving matter and dialectic:

"...matter itself continually attains to higher perfection under its own power, thanks to indwelling dialectic...the dialectical materialists attribution of 'dialectic' to matter confers on it, not mental attributes only, but even divine ones." (Dialectical Materialism, Gustav A. Wetter, 1977, p. 58)

  Occult Scientism Undergirds Scientific "Revelations"

In his book, The Abolition of Man (1947), C.S. Lewis observed that the Renaissance had reawakened a magical view of man and the world closely connected with ancient occult sciences and pantheist wisdom traditions.  Along with these arcane nature systems came conceptions of biological and spiritual transformism of one kind of lower thing to another kind of higher thing (i.e. chemicals to life, pond scum to fish; apes to man; man to god), reincarnation, karma and for secular materialists there eventually came philosophically materialist Darwinism, natural selection (a mystical choice-making energy) and determinism (mystical fatalism).

Early on Lewis understood that these two types of pagan and pantheist humanism were merely two sides of the same revival of nature worship. Thus he argued, occult pantheist and materialist humanism are not enemies in principle but rather cooperating philosophies of naturalism united against the personal God in three Persons who created ex nihilo, His Authoritative Revelation to mankind, Original Sin, man as His spiritual image-bearer, moral law, immutable truth, Christian theism, and Christian-based civilization.

Catholic philosopher and historian Thomas Molnar (1910-2010) reveals two recurring common themes uniting both schools of thought in his book "Utopia: The Perennial Heresy." The two themes of both schools of thought are monism (naturalism, meaning only nature or cosmos exists) and evolutionary conceptions. At the root of these two themes there is:

"...defiance of God, pride unlimited, a yearning for enormous power and the assumption of divine attributes with a view to manipulating and shaping mankind's fate." (p. 227)

In other words, in order for modern super men to scientifically engineer a perfected new world order populated by a perfected New Man, two actions must first take place:  the speculative murder of the living Holy Triune God and the sealing off of the way to Heaven.

John Taylor Gatto, former New York State and New York City Teacher of the Year, also tracked the rise of this destructive modern occult pagan intelligentsia together with the potent "interconnected shadow-government" they have created to radically reshape the Western and American consciousness.  In his book, "The Underground History of American Education"  Gatto points to the Fabian socialist utopians as one of the most powerfully effective revolutionary 'change-making' organizations and notes that,

"...it would not be too far out of line to call the twentieth century the Fabian century." (Gatto, p. 178)

What 'scientific' secular-atheists aspired to be in completely reordering Christian-based Western society and the souls of men according to scientific evolutionary principles, 20th century Fabians actually were.  Much if not most of the madness, chaos and all else that has gone so horribly wrong here in America is attributable to the Fabians.

The first Fabians had almost all been lapsed Anglicans from Evangelical homes who became dignitaries in the Church of England:

"There was a Christian fringe to the London socialism of the eighties, but this too was Anglican. The Christian Socialists came together in Stewart Headlam's Guild of St. Matthew and the Land Reform Union; and the more respectable Christian Social Union, formed in 1889 -- seeking in Fabian style to permeate the Anglican Church -- soon attracted more than two thousand clerical members. Dissenting clergymen too began to find a place in the Fabian Society and the London Progressives, while Unitarian churches and centres like Stanton Coit's Ethical Church provided a meeting place for believers and idealist agnostics . . . Socialism was for all of them, the new Evangelism." (Norman and Jeanne MacKenzie, The Fabians, Simon & Schuster, 1977, p. 18)

The failure of many Anglican hierarchy to repudiate apostatizing higher Biblical critics and radical freethinkers scandalized faithful, orthodox Evangelicals, whose outraged response was considered reactionary by the scholarly community. In 1861, Benjamin Jowett and six liberal Churchmen published a volume entitled Essays and Reviews, in which they expressed alarm lest "the majority of Churchmen, by holding fast the narrow, fundamental beliefs" in the Genesis account for example,

"...should estrange themselves more and more from contemporary thought."  (The Founders of Psychical Research, Alan Gauld, p. 49)

Jowett himself held that, "Scripture must be interpreted like any other book and some of the essayists were even more radical in their tone."

The portents of apostasy in the Church of England were ominous:

"It seemed to conservative Christians quite appalling that at a time when the impregnable rock of Holy Scripture was being undermined by Darwin and his allies, a group of those whose sacred duty should have been to shore it up again had conspired to hammer their wedges not under it but into it." (Gauld, p. 50)

Gauld records the rapid decline in spiritual aspirations among younger Cambridge men:

"Scepticism based on science flowed into and reinforced the older stream of doubt stemming from historical and ethical considerations. Their joint effect may be traced in the fact that whilst the outstanding Cambridge men of the 1840's -- B. F. Westcott, C. B. Scott, J. Llewellyn Davies, J.E.B. Mayer, Lord Alwyne Compton, E.H, Bickersteth, C. F. Mackenzie, Charles Evans, J. B. Lightfoot, E. W. Benson and F.J.A. Hort -- all took Orders (three of them becoming great clerical headmasters and six bishops), the outstanding Cambridge intellectuals of the 1870's -- the Trinity group centring on Henry Sidgwick and Henry Jackson and including Frederic Myers, G. W. and A. J. Balfour, Walter Leaf, Edmund Gurney, Arthur Verrall, F. W. Maitland, Henry Butcher and George Prothero -- tended towards agnosticism or hesitant Deism."  (Gauld, p. 64)

In this same period a group of young dons from Trinity College, Cambridge, were also turning to psychic research as a substitute for their lost God-created souls and Evangelical faith:

" In February 1882, Podmore took Pease to a meeting at which this group founded the Society for Psychical Research . . . Among those who founded the SPR were Henry Sidgwick, Arthur Balfour -- later a conservative Prime Minister -- and his brother, Gerald."  (The Fabians, p. 18)

The progenitor of the socialist Fabian Society was the Cambridge University spiritist group, the Ghost Society founded in 1851. The Ghost Society also spawned the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) founded in 1887:

"Council Members and Honorary Members of the SPR included a past Prime Minister (William Gladstone)...and a future Prime Minister (Arthur Balfour)...2 bishops; and Tennyson and Ruskin, two of the outstanding literary figures of the day (as well as) Lewis Carroll (and) a surprising number of titled persons." (Gauld, p. 140)

Having conceptually murdered the God of Revelation, disowned their own souls, and closed the way to Heaven Fabians sought power here below, thus the over-riding interest of the S.P.R. was the spirit realm. In search of power they conducted scientific research into phenomena such as mesmeric trance, telepathy, clairvoyance, apparitions, haunted houses, seances, and all aspects of mediumism, or contact with spirits, to determine the scientific laws of physical spiritualistic phenomena.

By the early 20th century, the materialist Sigmund Freud and heavily demonized Gnostic occultist Carl Jung were SPR Corresponding Members. Both men contributed to the S.P.R. Journal of Proceedings.

In an expose of Jung's occult tendencies Richard Noll writes:

"With the founding of the Society for Psychical Research in England in 1882, and the copious publications of its investigators, new models of the unconscious mind emerged. The most respected model was that of the 'subliminal self' by Frederick Myers (1843-1901), the 'mytho-poetic' (myth-making) function of which resembles Jung's later conception of a collective unconscious. Jung read widely in the literature of psychical research in medical school and his 1902 dissertation cites the work of Myers and others in this school." (Noll, The Jung Cult, 1994, pp. 31-2)

Above all else, revolutionary/evolutionary socialist organizations such as the Fabians were counter-establishment, anti-tradition, sexual liberationists consisting of committed Darwinian Gnostic elitists who were intolerant of the Holy God in three Persons, man as His spiritual image bearer, and every vestige of authority such as immutable Truth, Moral Law, sexual ethics, the traditional family, free market systems, individual liberties, and cumbersome processes of Americas' Constitutional Republic and  wanted to see a new order ruled by a superior caste.

Fabianism took its name from Roman general Fabius Cunctator who finally defeated Hannibal by methodically chipping away at his patience and will to win, an idea adopted by  Marxist theoretician Antonio Gramsci who called for a long, slow, stealthy march through Western and American mind and culture-shaping institutions.   In this way, Christian foundations would be destroyed, minds captured, souls re-engineered and institutions re-ordered.

Gatto writes that for Fabianists, Darwin was the 'weird holy man' they adored,

"...the man who gave them a theory inspirationally equal to god-theory, around which a new organization of society could be justified." (p. 180)

Darwinism is inherently racist because it rejects creation ex nihilo, by extension it also rejects monogenism (all humans descended from Adam and Eve) in favour of polygenism (multiple origins of human races). Thus, to realize the tremendous task that racialist Fabians assigned themselves in scientifically engineering a new order and a New Man said Gatto, we need to reflect on Darwin's shattering books,,

'The Origin of Species' (1859) and 'The Descent of Man' (1871), each arguing in its own way that....children are (the evolved product of) their race of origin, some 'favored'...some not" (Gatto, p. 179)

Together, Darwin's books issued a license to America's ruling caste to justify racism, moral relativism, the imposition of evolutionary teaching, forced schooling, perverse sex education, population control schemes, and much more, all destructive of America's traditional Christian-based Republic.  Gatto writes that from an evolutionary standpoint, our government controlled schools,

"...are the indoctrination phase of a gigantic breeding experiment...Many (children are genetically) a racial menace (while) the rest...thought of as soldiers in genetic combat, the moral equivalent of war....For governments, children could no longer be considered individuals but were regarded as categories, rungs on a biological ladder.  Evolutionary science pronounced the majority useless mouths waiting for nature to dispense with entirely." (Gatto, p. 179)

Whereas Christian salvation was formerly held to be a matter between Jesus Christ the Word Incarnate and the individual  and the aim of Christian-based Europe and America had for centuries been fixed on the work of winning liberties for the individual against the oppressive State, the Age of Darwin brought an end to all of this.  By the turn of the century the Fabian program based in "scientifically demonstrable" revelations from the spirit realm and racialist Darwinism was spreading quickly through the best colleges and universities capturing the minds of America's best and brightest issuing in the view that rights, wealth, and privileges are the preserve of the superior caste in control of an omniscient mystical god-State together with salvation as a pantheist conception based in ideas of collectivity.

Secular historians of the nineteenth century agree that the dominant figures in the occult spiritist/socialist movements were mainly lapsed Evangelicals and Anglican clergymen preceded by Renaissance rebels against God.  The onslaught of skepticism, atheism, agnosticism, higher Biblical criticism and dehistorization of the Genesis account together with moral relativism, Darwinism and occult New Age spirituality assaulting the tattered foundations of our Republic were inspired by Protestant/Evangelical heresy together with an unhealthy interest in spiritism. Norman and Jeanne MacKenzie explain this strange anomaly:

"The lesson instilled by Evangelical parents had been given a secular form. Evolution or what (Sidney) Webb called Zeitgeist, had taken the place of Providence, yet what Webb described as 'blind social forces...which went on inexorably working out social salvation' did not relieve men of their moral responsibility. Victorian religion had taught that a belief in God's purposes must be accompanied by an effort to discern and advance them. Socialists who substituted a secular religion for the faith of their youth felt the same compulsion." (Norman and Jeanne MacKenzie, The Fabians, 1977, p. 115-116)

Todays' Green Dragon

By the mid 1880's the Green Dragon---the spirit of madness, heresy, apostasy, moral relativism, occult magic, spiritism, nature worship and evolutionary thinking working within lapsed Evangelicals was already creeping into the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church.  Today Christendom is dead and the spirit of green-pagan madness is bringing our Republic to ruin while steadily injecting its' abominations into the whole body of the sleeping American Church. Aided and abetted by falsifiers of the Revealed Word who have "penetrated the Church" with a mist of lies resulting in narcissistic self-affirmation, emotional ecstasy, moral relativism, acceptance of evolutionary philosophy and other ancient wisdom traditions along with liberation from sin and hell,

"....Western civilization is daily committing suicide, by aborting itself, ignoring the law of God, and binding itself in Green chains.  What of professing Christians?  It is not clear many believe, as they still did at the American Revolution, that 'the truths of the gospel are the most pure, its motives are the most noble and animating, and its comforts the most supporting to the mind.' Our culture is arguably as enslaved as were the ancient people chained by Gaia and Python. " (Resisting the Green Dragon, James Wanliss, p. 267)

Only Christ can bring liberation.  The Church needs to recover the Biblical persuasion,

".... that the Christian is a pilgrim on the road to a heavenly city, that the social structures of the earthly city do not represent the coming of God's kingdom, and the vision of a society should be to direct man to what is transcendent." (ibid)

Occult Evolutionary Biology: the Magic Way of Becoming God

When asked why the layman should be interested  ”in so esoteric a subject as evolutionary biology,” one of the leading evolutionists of our day, Professor S.J. Gould responded:

“Because it tells us where we came from, how we got here, and perhaps where we are going. Quite simply, it is science’s version of Roots, except it is the story of us all.”   (The Religious Nature of Evolution Theory and its Attack on Christianity, John G. Leslie and Charles K. Pallaghy, Ph.D, creation.com)

Gould candidly admits that evolutionary biology is an esoteric story of man while the prominent defender of Darwinism, the evolutionary biologist Theodosius Dobzhansky (1900-1975) spoke of God as creating through evolution, which he describes evolution as a light,

“…. which illuminates all facts, a trajectory which all lines of thought must follow.”  (Dobzhansky, T., Ayala, F.J., Stebbins, G.L. and Valentine, J.W., Evolution, W.H. Freeman and Co., San Francisco, 1977)

Western esotericism, or occultism, is the search for and study of an unseen reality.  It is secret knowledge of the hidden.   This hidden or arcane knowledge is meant only for certain people such as Gould, Dobzhansky and like-minded evolutionary esotericists.

Occult practices include but are not limited to Hermetic magic, alchemy, astrology, divination, and spiritualism, or contact with spirits.  Interpretation of occultism and its concepts can be found in philosophies, occult sciences (evolutionary biology) and nature religions such as  ancient Egyptian Hermeticism, Gnosticism, Theosophy, Wicca, Satanism, Thelema and neo-paganism.

A general definition is offered by Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke:

"Occultism has its basis in a religious way of thinking, the roots of which stretch back into antiquity and which may be described as the Western esoteric tradition. Its principal ingredients have been identified as Gnosticism, the Hermetic treatises on alchemy and magic, Neo-Platonism, and the Kabbalah, all originating in the eastern Mediterranean area during the first few centuries AD." (The Occult Roots of Nazism, Good-Rick-Clarke, p. 17)

In this light, evolutionary biology is hidden knowledge (gnosis) based in a philosophy of naturalism..  Its genesis account holds that billions of years ago chemicals generated by a Big Bang which a God may or may not have generated, combined and transcended themselves after a hundred or a thousand identical operations thereby allowing the miraculous transmutation of chemicals into life.   Once life miraculously emerged, natural processes, which God may or may not play a role in,  were set in motion that after passage of vast ages supposedly eventuated in the arrival of man:

If man has arrived at his present state as a result of natural processes rather than a supernatural will, he can learn to control these processes…The concept of evolution, which is now basic to the life sciences, has provided new and in some ways revolutionary answers to questions men have been asking for centuries. The two most important of these are, ‘Why am I here, what is the purpose of human existence, and what is the nature of the world of life that surrounds us?”   (Dobzhansky, T., Ayala, F.J., Stebbins, G.L. and Valentine, J.W., Evolution, W.H. Freeman and Co., San Francisco, 1977)

Like its' Mystery Religion counterpart, evolutionary biology has both an exoteric or outer meaning for mass consumption and a hidden, or occult meaning for higher initiates.

Lurking beneath the idea that life will eventually arise from the mixing of lifeless chemicals (matter) is a vision arising from the age-old technology of alchemy while behind Dobzhansky’s phrase, the “light of evolution,” lies its magical meaning: "As above, so below" the Hermetic principle bespeaking an unseen universal life force emanating or evolving in waves from the hidden dimension of true reality above (i.e., Brahman, Quantum Void, Dobzhansky's God) with which everything in the universe and the physical dimension here below are in continuity.

Within the Egyptian Mysteries, this hidden life force was known as serpent power.  Serpent power was associated with the elemental forces (spirits) in play before creation of the universe, thus Herme's world famous magic formula is represented by the hidden great chain of being symbolized by the Oroboros.  As a powerful occult symbol, the Ouroboros means the seething power, universal life force, creative and/or evolutionary impulse or energy of the serpent figuratively depicted as either a serpent or dragon eating its own tail.

Hermes formula demonstrates the monistic oneness of the god-man's divine intellect with the  hidden reality above.  In teaching the meaning of the formula to his son Tat he said:

The intellect, O Tat, is drawn from the very substance of God.  In men, this intellect is God, and so some men are gods and their humanity is near to divinity…If man makes right use of (God’s gifts), he differs in no way from the immortals.”  (God and the Knowledge of Reality, Thomas Molnar, p. 78)

The serpent powered chain of being with its' multiple dimensions and life-giving energy systems is a hidden reality that not only powers the universe but reaches into and miraculously bestows life upon lifeless chemicals.  Then after billions of years of evolutionary process it reaches into the psyche, stirring imagination, bringing intellectual and moral perfection (deification) and psychic powers and even awakening pre-human memories of when scientifically enlightened modern man, evolution's most advanced product, was a soulless hominid.

Dr. Molnar writes that illustrations of Hermetic science abound all around the world.  For example, the “Asclepius,” a famous Gnostic text of indefinite origin states,

Man is a magnum miraculum…as though himself God….familiar with the race of demons, of the same origin as he; he despises that part of his nature which is only human, for he has put his hope in the divinity of the other part.” (ibid, p. 78)

It was Renaissance scholars, theologians, and mystics who rediscovered and intensely studied ancient esoteric texts, and then like Pico della Mirandola, argued that occult Cabala and hermetic science is the best proof of the divinity of Christ.    In other words, said Molnar,

“..by the time of the Renaissance the esoteric texts of the first centuries A.D. had acquired in scholarly and humanist circles an unparalleled prestige, confronting as equals the texts held sacred by the church.  In Pico’s estimation, ‘nulla est scientia que nos magis certificet de divinitate Christ quam magia et Cabala’ (there is no science that would prove for us Christ’s divinity better than magic and the Cabala.”  (ibid, pp. 78-79)

Occult science and manipulation by the magician of arcane symbols, numerals, formulas, and knowledge pertaining to the hidden dimension of true reality are inseparably linked in esoteric doctrines.  Therefore, in order for divinity to be proven by way of occult science, the modern Hermetic magician, whether secular or Christian, must manipulate into irrelevance the supernatural dimension and the literal and historic meaning of the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo since 'matter' must either pre-exist or have come into being from a Cosmic Egg (Big Bang).  In either scenario the action of the magician results in,

....an absolute although hidden concordance between the lower and the higher worlds, the key of which lends to the magus incalculable powers.” (Salvation through Technology: Creating A Posthuman New Breed, Dr. Martin Erdmann, herescopeblogspot.com, April 23, 2011)

One of the primary goals of the Hermetic magician said Molnar, is separation of the soul from the body (purification), and second, the spiritualization of all matter.     Darwin’s formula supposedly attains the first goal:

“….the doctrine of evolution has swept the world, not on the strength of its scientific merits, but precisely in its capacity as a Gnostic myth. It affirms, in effect, that living things created themselves, which is in essence a metaphysical claim….Thus…evolutionism is a metaphysical doctrine decked out in scientific garb….it is a scientistic myth (that) implicitly denies the transcendent origin of being; for indeed, only after the living creature has been speculatively reduced to an aggregate of particles does Darwinist transformism become conceivable.”  ( Dr. Wolfgang Smith in From Old Gnosticism to New Age I, Alan Morrison, SCP Journal Vol. 28:4-29:1, 2005, pp. 30-31)

The magic way of intellectual and moral transcendence (deification) was made possible by the inventers of theories of spiritual/cosmic evolution.   Molnar writes that travelers on this second highway were characteristically recruited from theology.  Some of these inventers are,

Bergson, Laberthonniere, Le Roy, Blondel, Bloch, Teilhard de Chardin, Heidegger, Bultmann, Karl Rahner, and numerous others…”  (God and the Knowledge of Reality, p. 133)

With Teilhard’s mystical pantheist idea, after billions of years of evolution, matter finally transcended itself resulting in its' transmutation into Christ consciousness.   Now that matter is spiritualized and divine,

The great affair for modern mankind is to break its way out by forcing some threshold of greater consciousness.” Christians should not fear the natural processes of evolution because it brings them inexorably to God and self-deification, “Though frightened for a moment by evolution, the Christian now perceives that what it offers him is…a magnificent means of (being) at one with God…”    (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 590)

Occult Worldview Essentials

The basic foundations of occult worldviews consistently teach the following elements:

1. Monism and evolution: Though there are different forms of monism the common denominator of them all is the idea that the universe and everything in it consists of or is reducible to one substance in process of evolution. (The Coming Darkness, John Ankerberg & John Weldon)

Mystical forms of monism characteristically accept some form of pantheism, as exemplified by for example, Teilhard de Chardin's Hindu pantheist New Religion and Leonard Sweet's Quantum Spirituality based in Teilhard's conceptions. Advaita Hinduism teaches the one ultimate reality is Nirguna Brahman (an impersonal God-force or Void) while Teilhard's system reduces everything to Omega---his version of Brahman.

It is the hidden monistic premise of esoteric evolutionary biology and mystical occult monism that makes them fundamentally anti-Christian and anti-person since man is not created in the spiritual image of the One God in three Persons but is rather an impersonal aspect of the one substance.

In Dr. Gary North's excellent evaluation of monism, "Unholy Spirits: Occultism and New Age Humanism," he writes that the Word of God teaches a permanent,

"....unbridgeable gap between the ultimate being of God and the derivative being of creatures. There is a Creator-creature distinction (meaning that) men do not partake of God's being...they are not of the same substance as God. There is no more fundamental doctrine than this one. Significantly, in every form of occultism this principle is denied....Satan's old temptation to man hinges on his denial and man's denial of the Creator-creature distinction."  (ibid, pp. 59-61)

2. God is an impersonal hidden reality, an energy field, abyss or void as opposed to God as personal and loving. (John 3:16)

3. Man's true identity is God since he is one with (shares) God's being as opposed to man created in God's image but not sharing the being of God. (Gen. 1:27)

4. Since there is only one impersonal substance, then evil is in harmony with the amoral god-substance or force. In contrast, Scripture teaches that evil operates in opposition to God's holy nature. (1 Peter 1:14, 15; 3:12)

5. Illumination or enlightenment (salvation) is achieved through self-realization (awareness of personal divinity) by various occult spiritist practices such as séances, spells, automatic writing, meditation, hypnosis, Ouija boards, shamanic drumming, Kundalini yoga, channeling, visualization, and mind-altering drugs. Occult salvation is the antithesis of salvation based on the atonement (Christ's suffering and death for sin) and received as a free gift by grace through faith in God and Christ. (John 3:16; 5:24; 6:47; 17:3)

6. Psychic or spiritual powers result from initiation into occult practices (see above) that open the mind to contact with and even possession by spirits.

In contrast, Scripture teaches that spiritual gifts are distinct from and work in opposition to occult psychic powers. They are given by God to His people for service to others. ( 1 Cor. 12:4-11; 14:3)

7. Eternal cyclic incarnation into different bodies over thousands or millions of years or reabsorption (annihilation and/or personal extinction) into the impersonal substance. In opposition, Scripture teaches personal physical resurrection and immortality in either heaven or hell. (Matthew 25:46)

8. A Pelagian view of humanity. Human nature is not fallen but good, thus the possibility for perfection is always present.  Given this outlook, the self-transcendence of humanity becomes a sociological imperative:

At the stage we have reached in scientific research our minds and intelligence will have to surpass themselves and rise to transcendent heights; the human, all-too human, will no longer suffice.” (Mircea Eliade, The Forge and the Crucible: The Origins and  Structures of Alchemy,  Dr. Erdmann)

In monism, whether esoteric evolutionary biology or mystical occult pantheist permutations, the traditional Western Christian ways of thinking and perceiving are rejected because "all is one."  This means there is no ultimate distinction between man and God, Jesus Christ and Satan, male and female, human and nonhuman, true and false, good and evil, moral and immoral, holy and unholy, or right and wrong because "true reality" is beyond the illusory categories associated with the natural (physical) world. Therefore, murder, genocide, rape, sodomy, pederasty, pedophilia, lying, cheating and theft cannot be considered evil if evil itself is in harmony with the hidden true reality.

Equally, while nothing can really be considered evil, so nothing can really be considered good. This means that honesty, integrity, courage, fidelity, and commitment cannot be considered good and worthy for the same reason evil cannot be considered evil.

Finally, there is no such thing as personhood (genuine personality) because true reality (the one substance) is not personal.  In other words, because the One God in three Persons who made all men in His spiritual image, thereby endowing all men with genuine personality(personhood) is not true reality, then ideas of personhood and unalienable rights are delusional.  In fact, since personality is supposedly a hindrance to occult spiritual enlightenment, it must be destroyed.

Humanist rationalism, Hermetic magic, esoteric Cabala, alchemy, Buddhism, reincarnation and karma, naturalism  and other forms of occultism were two sides of the same revival of Renaissance paganism and mystical pantheism underlying the intellectual edifice of modern natural science and evolutionary biology. Thus, as C.S. Lewis argued in his great masterpiece, That Hideous Strength, occultism and humanistic rationalism are not enemies in principle but rather cooperating philosophies that are united against the supernatural God in three Persons, Christianity and Christian civilization.

Lewis underscores this point in “The Abolition of Man:”

“You will even find people who write about the sixteenth century as if Magic were a medieval survival and Science the new thing that came in to sweep it away. Those who have studied the period know better. There was very little magic in the Middle Ages: the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries are the high noon of magic. The serious magical endeavour and the serious scientific endeavour are twins: one was sickly and died, the other strong and throve. But they were twins. They were born of the same impulse. I allow that some (certainly not all) of the early scientists were actuated by a pure love of knowledge. But if we consider the temper of that age as a whole we can discern the impulse of which I speak.”

In conclusion, evolutionary biology symbolizes the deep religious desires of certain men for autonomous self-creation, transcendence and self-redemption, thus are incarnations,

“ …of the ancient, deeply religious endeavor “to become like God” – infinitely wise, omnipotent, autonomous, and immortal.” (Dr. Erdmann)

The Worldview of Fallen Angels

".....the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one."  1 John 5:19    "Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness."  Luke 11:35

During the 1970s Satanism and possession became front page news here in America.  It was during this time that the eminent theologian Malachi Martin, a former Jesuit professor at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome published his shattering book on demon possession.

Martin's "Hostage to the Devil: the Possession and Exorcism of Five Contemporary Americans," presents five cases of actual possession that express important aspects of the worldview of fallen angels which allow us to not only identify these elements but discern their devastating effects within the whole body of the Christian church, the minds of millions of Americans and by extension, our nation.

To begin, the worldview of fallen angels will always take the form of nature worship, or worship of created stuff (i.e., energy, matter) as opposed to worship of the living, personal Creator Who created everything. Thus it will be naturalistic, meaning life created itself, monistic (i.e., World Soul, Omega, Quantum Void) and virulently anti-Genesis account creation ex nihilo.

Through the demon possessing Carl, a gifted parapsychologist, Hearty, the priest conducting Carl's exorcism learns that the possessing demons engineered Carl's astral travels and taught him "the knowledge of the universe." (pp. 386, 390)

With respect to the idea of "astral travels," occult lore holds that etheric or out-of-body astral traveling takes place within the astral planes and sub-planes comprising the habitations,

"(of all) supernatural entities, the locale of gods and demons, the void where the thoughtforms dwell, the region inhabited by spirits of the air and other elements, and the various heavens and hells with their angelic and demonic hosts....With the help of ritual procedures, trained persons believe that they can 'rise on the planes,' and experience these regions in full awareness." ("Beyond the Body: The Human Double and the Astral planes, Benjamin Walker, 1974, pp. 117-8)

From the time of Nimrod, fallen angels have been teaching astral plane conceptions, which is why they are well-known around the world in their many arcane traditions:

"References to this reality are the Dreaming of the Australian Aborigines, the Spirit-world of Shamanism, the Duart of the ancient Egyptians, the Bardo (Intermediate State) of the Tibetans, the Imaginal world of Islamic Esotericism – e.g. the Barzakh (Interworld) or of Suhrawardi and the Mithal (Imaginal realm) of Ibn Arabi – the Universe of Asiyah of some Kabbalists, or of Yetzirah according to others. Other descriptions are the Nervo degree of the Physical State of Theon, the Astral or 2nd Prakritic plane (corresponding to the Linga Sharira or Subtle or Astral body) and the Kama (Desire-Plane) of Blavatsky, the Astral Plane of the Adyar school of Theosophy and of popular occultism, Rudolf Steiner's "Soul World"; and the Vital and Subtle Physical described by Sri Aurobindo and Mirra. These are just a few of the innumerable descriptions of this plane of existence." (The Astral Plane, kheper.net)

The Apostle Paul speaks not of astral planes and the beings supposedly existing there but of fallen angels, the "spirits of wickedness under the heavens," (Eph. 6:12) and their chief, "the prince of the powers of the air." (Eph. 2:2)

According to Paul, fallen angels are dispersed in a multitude throughout the whole expanse of sky which is visible to us, the dwelling place for the host of fallen angels who have been cast down from heaven.

With respect to the "knowledge of the universe,"  imparted by the evil spirit, Carlwas taught that "humans are just a part of the universe...parts of a greater physical being."  This non-life-bearing being or substance is the evolving "universe of matter" and "psychic forces" that somehow account for human beings.  In modern scientific theory, the idea that life mechanically emerges or evolves from inert chemicals or matter is abiogenesis.  In this way of thinking, humans are excited nodes of the universe, as some quantum physicists teach, or "star folk," the evolved product of "star stuff" according to Carl Sagan.

During the five-day exorcism, the vision of the self-created universe of animated matter taught by the possessing spirit was disclosed to Hearty.   According to the evil spirit:

"...men, women, animals, plants, cities, oceans (are) interconnected.  There is really no difference between one thing and anything else....land, ocean, animals, humans, plants are one living organism clad in the shell of breathable atmosphere.  Psychic forces bind it all together....It is a self-creating, self-protecting, self-developing thing.....Earth as mother, as womb, as god, as tomb, as a whole unity protected by its own shell and its own strength (is) all there is." (ibid, p. 395)

This is the likeness of today's occult Luciferian New Age spirituality, right down to the concept of the Big Bang (Cosmic Egg), which supposedly created matter and energy (psychic forces) in the demon's description of the universe as "self-creating;"  inflation in the description of the universe as a "self-developing thing;" Goddess Gaia as the "Earth as self-protecting mother;" and both the collectivist (oneness, sameness) vision of totalitarian socialism and its pagan ideal of androgyny based on the interconnectivity of men, women, children, plants, and oceans with the one substance.

One of the most important exorcism cases involved David, a Catholic priest who became obsessed with the Hindu-pantheist evolutionism of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, one of the ‘fathers’ of occult New Age spirituality. Teilhard’s destructive influence is widespread today within the Catholic Church and increasingly within the Protestant.

Martin writes that Teilhard set out to make it intellectually possible for a Christian to accept the theories of Darwin and his own Hindu pantheist evolutionary conception  and still retain his faith.  But faith in what?

A "new" andscientifically "improved" Christianity--- a syncretic, Hindu-pantheist religion of evolution:

“(a) religion of the future” (definable as a “religion of evolution”) cannot fail to appear before long: a new mysticism, the germ of which (as it happens when anything is born) must be recognizable somewhere in our environment, here and now." (Christianity and Evolution,Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, p. 240, on-line source, lighthousetrailsresearch)

". . . the Cross still stands . . . But this is on one condition, and one only: that it expand itself to the dimensions of a New Age, and cease to present itself to us as primarily (or even exclusively) the sign of a victory over sin. . . (pp. 219-220)

"The more I study the matter, the more I am forced to accept this evidence that original sin, conceived in the form still attributed to it today, is an intellectual and emotional straitjacket." (p. 80)

". . . if a Christ is to be completely acceptable as an object of worship, he must be presented as the saviour of the idea and reality of evolution. (p.78)

"A general convergence of religions upon a universal Christ who fundamentally satisfies them all: that seems to me the only possible conversion of the world, and the only form in which a religion of the future can be conceived." (p. 130)

"What I am proposing to do is to narrow that gap between pantheism and Christianity by bringing out what one might call the Christian soul of Pantheism or the pantheist aspect of Christianity." (p. 56)

"From the most distant origin of things until their unforeseeable consummation, through the countless convulsions of boundless space, the whole nature is slowly and irresistibly undergoing the supreme consecration. Fundamentally — since all time and for ever — but one single thing is being made in creation: the body of Christ." (pp. 74-75)

". . . I can be saved only by becoming one with the universe." (p. 128)

". . . the Christian renaissance whose time is biologically due is on the point of emerging. . ."(p. 148)

"After what will soon be two thousand years, Christ must be born again, he must be reincarnated in a world that has become too different from that in which he lived." (p. 95)

"I believe that the Messiah whom we await, whom we all without any doubt await, is the universal Christ; that is to say, the Christ of evolution." (P. 95)

In "Teilhard de Chardin: Trojan Horse of Vatican II/Heretic Extraordinaire," Dr. J.P. Hubert quotes Teilhard as saying his ambition is to spread around a new religion,

"....in which the personal God ceases to be the great Neolithic proprietor of former times in order to become the soul of our world..."  (amaiceducation.blog.com, 2011)

Teilhard sought to make the Hermetic transformism of Darwin's biological evolution palatable to Catholic theologians eager to embrace modern evolutionary science, said Hubert, and while Teilhard was barred by the Vatican from teaching his heretical theology, he was never forced to repudiate it as heretical.  Clearly his writings establish at the very least he was a notorious pagan materialist heretic,

"arguably the most infamous of the 20th century. Given that he essentially instituted a New Religion he was an apostate from the faith as well."

It would not seem illegitimate, said Hubert, to wonder whether based on Teilhard's admission of a mystical experience if his heresy and apostasy were satanically inspired. Teilhard describes his strange encounter:

"The man was walking in the desert...when the Thing swooped down on him.  Then, suddenly, a breath of scorching air passed across his forehead, broke through the barrier of his closed eyelids; an irresistible rapture took possession of him....mightily refashioning the enfeebled fibres of his being.  And at the same time the anguish of some superhuman peril oppressed him, a confused feeling that the force which had swept down upon him was equivocal, turbid, the combined essence of all evil and goodness.  You called me: here I am grown weary of abstractions, of attenuations, of the wordiness of social life, you wanted to pit yourself against Reality entire and untamed.  I was waiting for you in order to be made holy.  And now I am established on you for life, or for death....He who has once seen me can never forget me: he must either damn himself with me or save me with himself.  O you who are divine and mighty, what is your name? Speak."

 Hubert concludes that Teilhardism is,

"...no doubt of Satanic origin---a true "religion of man," if ever there was one."

Prior to David's obsession with Teilhardism, Martin writes that he was destined to become a professor of anthropology at a Catholic university.  But afterward, David came to see that the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo, and Adam and Eve as the first man and woman and parents of all mankind and how they fell and passed on Original Sin to all human beings were utterly contrary to Darwinian theory and modern scientific thinking.

Believing that Teilhardism could bridge the gap, David taught anthropology from a "modern science" perspective, even going so far as to exclude traditional presentations of doctrines about creation ex nihilo and Original Sin.  But after introducing Teilhardism to his students, doubts arose when he observed the effects of this teaching upon Jonathan, one of his students who was a priest.

The startling influence of Teilhardism upon Jonathan led him to insist,

"that all the sacraments were no more than expressions of man's natural unity with the world around him."

David saw clearly for the first time that Teilhardism exalted man as an animal and pictured,

"God as no more than the very bowels of earth and sky and the spatial distances of the universe with all its expanding galaxies." (Martin, p. 107)

Jonathan left the church and founded his own cult among wealthy Manhattan families.  He preached that the universe and all people were as “one” in a naturally occurring mystical union which he called "Abba Father." (p. 127)

Martin writes that Jonathan had come under the dominion of an evil spirit and David was called in to exorcise him.  However, speaking through Jonathan the evil spirit ridiculed David, saying they both believed the same things, and that if Jonathan needed exorcism David needed it more.

This led David to many weeks of agonizing soul-searching in which he re-examined and finally repented of the intellectual arrogance that led him to embrace Teilhardism along with the "higher criticism" of Scriptures that reduced the Revealed Word to myth, allegory and delusion and the death of Jesus to an insignificant event of the pastrather than,

"…an ever present source of personal forgiveness and unshakable hope for any future." (p. 149)

According to Martin, the evil spirit influencing David and who had nearly succeeded in killing his faith now taunted him that to return to faith would entail slavery of mind and will.   But when David deliberately rejected the demon's taunts,

"...a great and breathtaking dimension full of relief....flooded his mind and will and imagination....And when he now looked at the world of nature around him...and heard the song of a mockingbird nearby, he received it no longer as he had while a Teilhardian evolutionist, as 'intimations of molecules endlessly regrouping,' but rather 'of endless life for each person, and of love without a shadow." (pp. 163, 165)

His faith in God, Christ, Holy Spirit and Scripture restored, David was ready to exorcise the evil spirit who possessed Jonathan.  He did so,

"...in the name of God who created him (Jonathan) and you (evil spirit), and of Jesus of Nazareth who saved him!  You will depart and get back to the uncleanness and agony you chose." (p. 169)

As the five cases of possession and actual exorcism show, the teachings of evolution in all its forms, together with naturalism, astral plane traveling and other occult magic teachings are worldview tools by which fallen angels and demons have been separating mankind from God the Creator since the pre-flood world.  And today, variations of these same teachings have captured the minds of millions of Americans within and without the whole body of the Christian church.

Malachi Martin has done the whole body of the church a great service by extensively documenting the worldview of fallen angels.  And now that he is with our Lord, he has doubtless heard Him say,

"...welcome home, my good and faithful servant!"

Falling Stars, Damnable Heresy, and the Spirit of Evolution

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22).

And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit." (Rev. 9:1)

In his Concise Commentary Matthew Henry identifies falling stars as tepid, indecisive, weak or apostate clergy who,

"Having ceased to be a minister of Christ, he who is represented by this star becomes the minister of the devil; and lets loose the powers of hell against the churches of Christ."

John identifies antichrists, in this case clergy who serve the devil rather than Christ, sequentially.  First, like Bultmann, Teilhard de Chardin, Robert Funk, Paul Tillich, and John Shelby Spong, they specifically deny the living, personal Holy Trinity in favor of Gnostic pagan, immanent or Eastern pantheist conceptions.   Though God the Father Almighty in three Persons upholds the souls of men and maintains life and creation, His substance is not within nature (space-time dimension) as pantheism maintains, but outside of it.  Sinful men live within nature and are burdened by time and mortality; God is not.

Second, the specific denial of the Father logically negates Jesus the Christ, the Word who was in the beginning (John 1), was with God, and is God from the creation of all things (1 John 1).  In a pre-incarnate theophany, Jesus is the Angel who spoke “mouth to mouth” to Moses (Num. 12:6-9; John 9:20) and at sundry times and in many ways “spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all…” (Hebrews 1:1)  Jesus the Christ is the incarnate Son of God who is the life and light of men, who by His shed blood on the Cross died for the remission of all sins and bestowed the privilege of adoption on all who put their faith in Him. Therefore, to deny the Holy Father is to logically deny the deity of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, hence,

“…every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist . . . and even now already is it in the world” (1 John 4:3).

According to Peter (2 Peter 2:1), falling stars will work among the faithful, teaching damnable heresies that deny the Lord, cause the fall of men into unbelief, and bring destruction upon themselves:

The natural parents of modern unbelief turn out to have been the guardians of belief.”  Many thinking people came at last “to realize that it was religion, not science or social change that gave birth to unbelief.  Having made God more and more like man---intellectually, morally, emotionally---the shapers of religion made it feasible to abandon God, to believe simply in man.” (James Turner of the University of Michigan in “American Babylon,” Richard John Neuhaus, p. 95)

Falling Stars and Damnable Heresy

Almost thirty years ago, two well-respected social science scholars, William Sims Bainbridge and Rodney Stark found themselves alarmed by what they saw as a rising tide of irrationalism, superstition and occultism---channeling cults, spirit familiars, necromancers, Wiccans, Satanists, Luciferians, goddess worshippers, 'gay' shamans, Hermetic magicians and other occult madness at every level of society, particularly within the most influential--- Hollywood, academia and the highest corridors of political power.

Like many scientists, they were equally concerned by Christian opposition to naturalistic evolution.  As is common in the science community, they assumed the cause of these social pathologies was somehow due to fundamentalism, their term for authentic Christian theism as opposed to liberalized Christianity.  Yet to their credit, the research they undertook to discover the cause was conducted both scientifically and with great integrity.  What they found was so startling it caused them to re-evaluate their attitude toward authentic Christian theism.  Their findings led them to say:

"It would be a mistake to conclude that fundamentalists oppose all science (when in reality they but oppose) a single theory (that) directly contradicts the bible. But it would be an equally great mistake to conclude that religious liberals and the irreligious possess superior minds of great rationality, to see them as modern personalities who have no need of the supernatural or any propensity to believe unscientific superstitions. On the contrary...they are much more likely to accept the new superstitions. It is the fundamentalists who appear most virtuous according to scientific standards when we examine the cults and pseudo-sciences proliferating in our society today." ("Superstitions, Old and New," The Skeptical Inquirer, Vol. IV, No. 4; summer, 1980)

In more detail they observed that authentic ‘born again’ Christians are far less likely to accept cults and pseudoscientific beliefs while the irreligious and liberalized Christians (i.e., progressive Catholics, Protestant emergent, NAR, word faith, prosperity gospel) are open to unscientific notions.  In fact, these two groups are most disposed toward occultism.

As Bainbridge and Stark admitted, evolution directly contradicts the Bible, beginning with the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo.  This means that evolution is the antithesis of the Genesis account. For this reason, discerning Christians refuse to submit to the evolutionary thinking that has swept Western and American society.  Nor do they accept the evolutionary theism brought into the whole body of the Church by weak, tepid, indecisive, or apostate clergy.

Over eighty years ago, Rev. C. Leopold Clarke wrote that priests who embrace evolution (evolutionary theists) are apostates from the ‘Truth as it is in Jesus.’ (1 John2:2)  Rev. Clarke, a lecturer at a London Bible college, discerned that evolution is the antithesis to the Revelation of God in the Deity of Jesus Christ, thus it is the greatest and most active agent of moral and spiritual disintegration:

It is a battering-ram of unbelief---a sapping and mining operation that intends to blow Religion sky-high.  The one thing which the human mind demands in its conception of God, is that, being Almighty, He works sovereignly and miraculously---and this is the thing with which Evolution dispenses….Already a tremendous effect, on a wide scale has been produced by the impact of this teaching---an effect which can only be likened to the…collapse of foundations…” (Evolution and the Break-Up of Christendom, Philip Bell, creation.com, Nov. 27, 2012)

The faith of the Christian Church and of the average Christian has had, and still has, its foundation as much in the literal and historic meaning of Genesis, the book of beginnings revealed ‘mouth to mouth’ by the Angel to Moses, as in that of the person and deity of Jesus Christ.  But how horrible a travesty of the sacred office of the Christian Ministry to see church leaders more eager to be abreast of the times, than earnestly contending for the Faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3).  It is high time, said Rev. Clarke, that the Church,

“…. separated herself from the humiliating entanglement attending her desire to be thought up to date…What, after all, have custodians of Divine Revelation to do making terms with speculative Biology, which has….no message of comfort or help to the soul?” (ibid)

The primary tactic employed by priests eager to accommodate themselves and the Church to modern science and evolutionary thinking is predictable.  It is the argument that evolution is entirely compatible with the Bible when we see Genesis, especially the first three chapters, in a non-literal, non-historical context.  This is the argument embraced and advanced by mega-church pastor Timothy J. Keller.

With a position paper Keller published with the theistic evolutionary organization Bio Logos he joined the ranks of falling stars (Catholic and Protestant priests) stretching back to the Renaissance.  Their slippery-slide into apostasy began when they gave into the temptation to embrace a non-literal, non-historical view of Genesis.  (A response to Timothy Keller’s ‘Creation, Evolution and Christian Laypeople,” Lita Cosner, Sept. 9, 2010, creation.com)

This is not a heresy unique to modern times.  The early Church Fathers dealt with this damnable heresy as well, counting it among the heretical tendencies of the Origenists.  Fourth-century Fathers such as John Chrysostom, Basil the Great and Ephraim the Syrian, all of whom wrote commentaries on Genesis, specifically warned against treating Genesis as an unhistorical myth or allegory.  John Chrysostom strongly warned against paying heed to these heretics,

“…let us stop up our hearing against them, and let us believe the Divine Scripture, and following what is written in it, let us strive to preserve in our souls sound dogmas.” (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 31)

As St. Cyril of Alexandria wrote, higher theological, spiritual meaning is founded upon humble, simple faith in the literal and historic meaning of Genesis and one cannot apprehend rightly the Scriptures without believing in the historical reality of the events and people they describe. (ibid, Seraphim Rose, p. 40)

In the integral worldview teachings of the Fathers, neither the literal nor historical meaning of the Revelations of the pre-incarnate Jesus, the Angel who spoke to Moses, can be regarded as expendable.  There are at least four critically important reasons why.  First, to reduce the Revelation of God to allegory and myth is to contradict and usurp the authority of God, ultimately deny the deity of Jesus Christ; twist, distort, add to and subtract from the entire Bible and finally, to imperil the salvation of believers.

Scenarios commonly proposed by modern Origenists posit a cleverly disguised pantheist/immanent nature deity subject to the space-time dimension and forces of evolution. But as noted previously, it is sinful man who carries the burden of time, not God.  This is a crucial point, for when evolutionary theists add millions and billions of zeros (time) to God they have transferred their own limitations onto Him.  They have ‘limited’ God and made Him over in their own image. This is not only idolatrous but satanic.

Additionally, evolution inverts creation.  In place of God’s good creation from which men fell there is an evolutionary escalator starting at the bottom with matter, then progressing upward toward life, then up and through the life and death of millions of evolved creatures that preceded humans by millions of years until at long last an apish humanoid emerges into which a deity that is always in a state of becoming (evolving) places a soul.

Evolution amputates the entire historical precedent from the Gospel and makes Jesus Christ unnecessary as the atheist Frank Zindler enthusiastically points out:

The most devastating thing that biology did to Christianity was the discovery of biological evolution.  Now that we know that Adam and Eve never were real people the central myth of Christianity is destroyed.  If there never was an Adam and Eve, there never was an original sin.  If there never was an original sin there is no need of salvation.  If there is no need of salvation there is no need of a saviour.  And I submit that puts Jesus…into the ranks of the unemployed.  I think evolution absolutely is the death knell of Christianity.” (“Atheism vs. Christianity,” 1996, Lita Cosner, creation.com, June 13, 2013)

None of this was lost on Darwin’s bulldog, Thomas Henry Huxley (1825-1985).  Huxley was thoroughly familiar with the Bible, thus he understood that if Genesis is not the authoritative Word of God, is not historical and literal despite its’ symbolic and poetic elements, then the entirety of Scripture becomes a collection of fairytales resulting in tragic downward spiraling consequences as the Catholic Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation makes clear in part:

By denying the historical truth of the first chapters of Genesis, theistic evolutionism has fostered a preoccupation with natural causes almost to the exclusion of supernatural ones.  By denying the several supernatural creative acts of God in Genesis, and by downplaying the importance of the supernatural activity of Satan, theistic evolutionists slip into a naturalistic mentality which seeks to explain everything in terms of natural causes.  Once this mentality takes hold, it is easy for men to regard the concept of spiritual warfare as a holdover from the days of primitive superstition.  Diabolical activity is reduced to material or psychological causes.  The devil and his demons come to be seen as irrelevant.  Soon ‘hell’ joins the devil and his demons in the category of antiquated concepts.  And the theistic evolutionist easily makes the fatal mistake of thinking that he has nothing more to fear from the devil and his angels.  According to Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the chief exorcist of Rome, there is a tremendous increase in diabolical activity and influence in the formerly Christian world.  And yet most of the bishops of Europe no longer believe in the existence of evil spirits….To the Fathers of the Church who believed in the truth of Genesis, this would be incredible.  But in view of the almost universal acceptance of theistic evolution, it is hardly surprising.” (The Difference it makes: The Importance of the Traditional Doctrine of Creation, Hugh Owen, kolbecenter.org)

Huxley had ‘zero’ respect for modern Origenists and received enormous pleasure from heaping piles of hot coals and burning contempt upon them, thereby exposing their shallow-reasoning, hypocrisy, timidity, fear of non-acceptance, and unfaithfulness.  With sarcasm dripping from his words he quipped,

I am fairly at a loss to comprehend how any one, for a moment, can doubt that Christian theology must stand or fall with the historical trustworthiness of the Jewish Scriptures. The very conception of the Messiah, or Christ, is inextricably interwoven with Jewish history; the identification of Jesus of Nazareth with that Messiah rests upon the interpretation of passages of the Hebrew Scriptures which have no evidential value unless they possess the historical character assigned to them. If the covenant with Abraham was not made; if circumcision and sacrifices were not ordained by Jahveh; if the “ten words” were not written by God’s hand on the stone tables; if Abraham is more or less a mythical hero, such as Theseus; the story of the Deluge a fiction; that of the Fall a legend; and that of the creation the dream of a seer; if all these definite and detailed narratives of apparently real events have no more value as history than have the stories of the regal period of Rome—what is to be said about the Messianic doctrine, which is so much less clearly enunciated? And what about the authority of the writers of the books of the New Testament, who, on this theory, have not merely accepted flimsy fictions for solid truths, but have built the very foundations of Christian dogma upon legendary quicksands?” (Darwin’s Bulldog---Thomas Huxley, Russell Grigg, creation.com, Oct. 14, 2008)

Pouring more contempt on them he asked,

When Jesus spoke, as of a matter of fact, that "the Flood came and destroyed them all," did he believe that the Deluge really took place, or not? It seems to me that, as the narrative mentions Noah’s wife, and his sons’ wives, there is good scriptural warranty for the statement that the antediluvians married and were given in marriage; and I should have thought that their eating and drinking might be assumed by the firmest believer in the literal truth of the story. Moreover, I venture to ask what sort of value, as an illustration of God’s methods of dealing with sin, has an account of an event that never happened? If no Flood swept the careless people away, how is the warning of more worth than the cry of “Wolf” when there is no wolf? If Jonah’s three days’ residence in the whale is not an “admitted reality,” how could it “warrant belief” in the “coming resurrection?” … Suppose that a Conservative orator warns his hearers to beware of great political and social changes, lest they end, as in France, in the domination of a Robespierre; what becomes, not only of his argument, but of his veracity, if he, personally, does not believe that Robespierre existed and did the deeds attributed to him?” (ibid)

 Concerning Matthew 19:5:

If divine authority is not here claimed for the twenty-fourth verse of the second chapter of Genesis, what is the value of language? And again, I ask, if one may play fast and loose with the story of the Fall as a “type” or “allegory,” what becomes of the foundation of Pauline theology?” (ibid)

 And concerning Cor. 15:21-22:

If Adam may be held to be no more real a personage than Prometheus, and if the story of the Fall is merely an instructive “type,” comparable to the profound Promethean mythus, what value has Paul’s dialectic?” (ibid)

After much thought, C.S. Lewis concluded that evolution is the central, most radical lie at the center of a vast network of lies within which modern Westerners are entangled while Rev. Clarke identifies the central lie as the Gospel of another Spirit. The fiendish aim of this Spirit is to help men lose God, not find Him, and by contradicting the Divine Redeemer, compromising Priests are serving this Spirit and its’ diabolical purposes.  To contradict the Divine Redeemer is the very essence of unfaithfulness, and that it should be done while reverence is professed,

“…. is an illustration of the intellectual and moral topsy-turvydom of Modernism…’He whom God hath sent speaketh the Words of God,’ claimed Christ of Himself (John 3:34), and no assumption of error can hold water in the face of that declaration, without blasphemy.”

Evolutionary theists are serving the devil, therefore “no considerations of Christian charity, of tolerance, of policy, can exonerate Christian leaders or Churches who fail to condemn and to sever themselves from compromising, cowardly, shilly-shallying priests”---the falling stars who “challenge the Divine Authority of Jesus Christ.” (ibid)

The rebuttals, warnings and counsels of the Fathers against listening to Origenists (and their modern evolutionary counterparts) indicates that the spirit of antichrist operating through modern rationalistic criticism of the Revelation of God is not a heresy unique to our times but was inveighed against by early Church Fathers.

From the scholarly writings of the Eastern Orthodox priest, Fr. Seraphim Rose, to the incisive  analysis, rebuttals and warnings of the Catholic Kolbe Center, creation.com, Creation Research Institute, Rev. Clarke, and many other stalwart defenders of the faith once delivered, all are a clear, compelling call to the whole body of the Church to hold fast to the traditional doctrine of creation as it was handed down from the Apostles, for as God spoke and Jesus is the Living Word incarnate, it is incumbent upon the faithful to submit their wills to the Divine Will and Authority of God rather than to the damnable heresy proffered by falling stars eager to embrace naturalistic science and the devil's antithesis--- evolution.  But if it seem evil to you to serve the Lord,

“…you have your choice: choose this day that which pleases you, whom you would rather serve….but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

The Question of Evil: Libertarian, Darwinian and Biblical Perspectives

In an opinion piece entitled, "Are We Rome Yet?" Libertarian John Stossel writes that a group of libertarians gathered in Las Vegas recently for an event called "FreedomFest" during which they debated whether America will soon fall as Rome did.  (Stossel,  July 31, 2013, Townhall.com)

Matt Kibbe for example---president of the tea party group FreedomWorks---commented on the ominous parallels between modern America and Rome:

"The parallels are quite ominous -- the debt, the expansionist foreign policy, the arrogance of executive power taking over our country... But I do think we have a chance to stop it."

Libertarians are motivated by the question of evil: why does it exist and what can be done about it.

They believe that through movements like the tea party, libertarian philosophy and events like FreedomFest that hopefully alert people to the danger in imperial Washington and try to fight it that they can wake up the public.   This is our only  hope, said Stossel.

Despite that some Christians embrace Libertarianism, at bottom it is a form of materialist atheism that with Freud believes the supernatural Triune God is an illusion since all that exists is matter in motion, so by extension, man is not fallen, is capable of perfecting himself and evil arises from unjust social institutions, moral laws, sexual ethics, and all other restraints on autonomous man's freedoms.

Ayn Rand is one of Libertarianism's most influential thinkers and is therefore representative of the Libertarian worldview.   Rand was an egocentric atheist whose philosophy called Objectivism combined elements from Aristotelian rationalism (knowledge begins in the senses), Nietzschean 'superman' atheism, Adam Smith's capitalism, Sigmund Freud's materialist-based illusionism (God is an illusion caused by movement of chemicals in the brain) and hedonistic egoism.

Rand declared that life spontaneously generated and/or created itself from eternally existing matter in much the same way as the Egyptian Sun-God Ra created himself from eternally existing primordial waters (matter).  For Rand then, the god she has raised up over the earth,

"...this god whom men have sought since men came into being, this god who will grant them joy, and peace and pride (is in) one word: I."  (For the New Intellectual, p. 65)

Rand populated her novels with morally and intellectually perfected heroic men and women (supermen) who by their own great intelligence, courage and independence changed the face of the earth.   Following this line of egoistic reasoning, heroic Libertarians such as Stossel and Kibbe believe that if they deliver the "right" knowledge to sleeping Americans they will "wake up" to their dangers and fight back.

This line of reasoning makes sense only if self-created man is basically good (not fallen) and his capacity for self-redemption comes from right knowledge and unfettered liberty to do whatever he wants so long as it doesn't harm anyone.   By extension of this way of reasoning, right and wrong are determined by a majority of people.  This is moral relativism, a type of nihilism wherein the eternally unchanging Triune God does not exist and life has no higher, fixed meaning or purpose with neither hope of an afterlife nor any accountability to his Maker for his actions here in this world, therefore,  since men no longer have reason and purpose for being good, they are free to be bad.

This is where Libertarianism falls apart.  Where there is no fixed meaning, purpose, ultimate accountability and no restraining influence of Biblical morality, Libertarianism quickly devolves into the evils of Anarchy, which then quickly leads to yet more evil, the necessity for Caesar-- totalitarianism.

Over on the conservative Free Republic website a fan of Thomas Malthus and Darwin offered his self-described "humble opinion" and implied prescription to the concerns raised by Libertarians.   He begins by saying that though we like to believe otherwise, our evolved species isn't that long "out of the trees" and the same laws of nature that affect all of God’s creatures apply equally to us, meaning that when species, especially the genetically inferior, are allowed to reproduce without limitations there will be dire  consequences.

With respect to the genetically inferior---the weak, lazy and stupid according to the Darwinian---when they are allowed to reproduce unimpeded they soon outnumber the genetically superior---the strong, productive, and intelligent---and when the genetically inferior dominate the gene pool, the entire population becomes "weak/ lazy/stupid, and then the population collapses."

According to the Darwinian, in the past when these collapses occurred they were referred to as a “Malthusian Collapse.” Though Malthus, a Nineteenth Century Economist, never really pinned down the exact reason for these collapses, it is now thought that they occur whenever the genetically inferior greatly outnumber the genetically superior and being too lazy to perform the work necessary to provide for themselves, what's left of the genetically superior refuse to continue to do it for them.

Here we have another egocentric atheist philosophy that combines elements from Aristotelian rationalism (knowledge begins in the senses), Malthusian population control schemes, Nietzschean 'superman' atheism, both Darwin's materialist evolutionary conception and a spiritual 'pantheist' conception.

Darwin was a physical materialist, which means that all that exists is physical matter and evolutionary energies (elemental spirits) acting on matter, thus the supernatural Triune God, heaven, hell, demons, angels, soul/spirit do not and cannot exist.

But the mention of a God bespeaks a nonphysical or spiritual evolutionary conception such as Teilhard de Chardin’s quasi-Hindu pantheist idea which has a god-force emerging from spontaneously generated matter, making all matter spiritual and divine rather than merely physical, while evolutionary energies become living, conscious self-directed forces like the Force of Star Wars.

The Darwinist turns out to be an evolutionary theist whose god is a Gnostic Manichean demiurge, a pathetically limited, demonic deity that is the deterministic cause of all evil---death, suffering, and of course of unfit, weak, stupid life forms.

But in the Darwinists Gnostic tale of good versus evil all is not lost as the divine living Force otherwise known as “laws of nature” selected (predestined) a few highly evolved human beings and setting them apart from the rest of the genetically lazy, stupid herd (forces of corruption/evil) endowed the small, select brotherhood of heroes with the super genes of strength, courage, intelligence and great wisdom.

It is up to the band of heroes to defeat evil and its' genetic spawn by way of abortion (of the unfit, unwanted), euthanasia (of worthless human vegetables), eugenics (careful breeding of the genetically superior), and the Final Solution: famine and genocide---mass murder of the genetically unfit.

The Gnostic Manichean Marxist Communists put this plan in motion and liquidated 60,000,000+ unfit human weeds, dinosaurs, and other useless eaters while Hitler's Socialists accounted for about 30,000,000 more.

While the Libertarian and Darwinian answer to evil boils down to, "the devil made me do it," God's Word charges out of the gate with the vastly uncomfortable, entirely offensive words,

"There is not a righteous man, not even one..." Romans 3:10

Romans 3:10 is eloquently expressed by Alexander Solzhenitsyn in his response to the Gnostic Manichean view of good and evil held by Marxist Communists:

"The line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being." (The Deadliest Monster, J.F. Baldwin, p. 58)

The brilliant psychotherapist Victor Frankl, who survived Auschwitz and all the horrors of Nazi death camps saw human nature at its best and worst.  In a paraphrase of  Romans 3:10 he said,

"After all, man is that being who has invented the gas chambers of Auschwitz; however, he is also that being who has entered those gas chambers upright, with the Lord's Prayer or the Shema Yisrael on his lips." (ibid)

The checks and balances within the power structure of our government's judicial, legislative, and administrative branches is due to Madison's conviction that all men are by nature children of wrath (Eph. 2:3) bent inward on themselves and if given half the chance, will further their own interests at the expense of others.   While Libertarians, Darwinists and other atheists call this a backwards, superstitious, and pessimistic view of man, Madison thought it was a very realistic view of the human condition.

Commenting on man's fallen condition, his kindly Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde sides, Blaise Pascal said,

"What sort of freak then is man!  How novel, how monstrous, how chaotic, how paradoxical, how prodigious!  Judge of all things, feeble earthworm, repository of truth, sink of doubt and error, glory and refuse of the universe!.....Certainly nothing jolts us more rudely than this doctrine (inherent sinfulness), and yet, but for this mystery, we remain incomprehensible to ourselves." (ibid, pp. 58-59)

Men can be both bestial and heroic.  Even little children recognize this, according to psychologist Bruno Bettelheim:

"There is a widespread refusal to let children know that the source of much that goes wrong in life is due to our very own natures---the propensity of all men for acting aggressively, asocially, selfishly, out of anger and anxiety.  Instead, we want our children to believe that, inherently, all men age good.  But children know that they are not always good, and often, even when they are (bad), they would prefer not to be.   This contradicts what they are told by their parents and therefore makes the child a monster in his own eyes." (ibid, p. 59)

Libertarianism, Darwinism, and all other atheist philosophies are forms of nihilism unable to account either for life or the being of man, and because they are morally relative, they are unable to address the issue of evil without making everything much worse.

We will remain incomprehensible to ourselves and unable to understand why things are going so very wrong here in America unless we turn back to our Divine Creator, the ultimate Source of Life, Truth, Moral Law and man's being.   We must return with the understanding and acceptance of our fallen nature because as Pascal said, unless we know ourselves,

"...to be full of pride, ambition, concupiscence, weakness, wretchedness and unrighteousness, we are truly blind." (ibid, p. 60)

The Desecration of the Holy Bride of Christ

At the turn of this century, the Catholic philosopher Alice von Hildebrand published Soul of a Lion," a book about her late husband Dietrich von Hildebrand.  When it appeared, Latin Mass Magazine interviewed her and asked her more about what she and her husband, whom Pope Pius XII informally called ‘the 20th century Doctor of the Church’ had to say about modernism's infiltration of the Church.

Alice said that Dietrich believed that after Pius X’s condemnation of the heresy of Modernism together with its' main doctrine evolution in the encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis: On the doctrine of the Modernists (http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Pius10/p10pasce.htm) its adherents went underground, and like the traitor Judas, they then took a much more subtle and practical approach.   Like the devil they spread doubt by asking questions about the great supernatural interventions throughout history, such as the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection and Holy Eucharist:

"They knew that once faith--the foundation-- totters, the liturgy and the moral teachings of the Church would follow suit.  My husband entitled one of his books The Devastated Vineyard.  After Vatican II, a tornado seemed to have hit the Church..." (Present At the Demolition: An Interview with Dr. Alice Hildebrand, sanctepater.com, July 26, 2010)

Dr. Hildebrand notes that within recent years two books have been published in Italy confirming her husband's belief that there has been a "systematic infiltration" of the Church by diabolical enemies:

"During the last  ten years of his life...I witnessed him many times in moments of great sorrow, and frequently repeating, 'They have desecrated the Holy Bride of Christ.'  He was referring to the 'abomination of desolation' of which the prophet Daniel speaks." (ibid, sanctepater.com)

In the essay, "The Paganization of Biblical Studies," Dr. Peter Jones, Professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary in Escondido, Calif., identifies modernism as a form of neo-Gnostic paganism, or mystical pantheism which together with its most important doctrine evolution emerged out of the Renaissance.

The respected historian James Webb affirms this in his two books, “The Occult Underground: The Dawn of the New Age” and “The Occult Establishment.” Webb meticulously traces the rise of modernism and describes its adherents, who were apostate Christians, as an occult intelligentsia. Webb sees the Renaissance as a spiritually traumatic time in which the spiritual roots of many influential people at the top of society were shaken free of Christianity, and like a dog returning to its’ own vomit, they eagerly embraced the ancient traditions long since discarded by Christian theism that were sweeping into Christendom at that time.

Webb’s main point is that since the Renaissance, a powerfully influential occult community existing at the highest levels of society has been both the intelligentsia and the real powers behind what has been variously called the Progressive Underground, the Anti-Establishment, Anti-Tradition, and the Counter Culture, the aim of which is twofold: first, the total destruction of the Old Order based on Christianity, and second, the creation of a socialist or communist New World Order which is to rise like a Phoenix out of the smoldering ashes of the Old Order.

Modernism's first real manifestation was at the University in Tubingen where an apostate Christian theologian named Ferdinand Baur (1792-1860) had formed a school of theology which would raise questions about the Christian faith, a tactic designed to undermine its status as the fount of truth and moral law through destructive criticism.  Among areas which came under attack were the person of Jesus Christ, the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo, the fall and nature of sin, the authority of the Bible, the way of spiritual salvation, apostolic tradition and Church doctrine.

In the essay," From Old Age Gnosticism to New Age," an historical analysis of the impact of secret societies and mystery religions from the 16th century to the modern era, researcher Alan Morrison writes that the approach to Scriptures inaugurated at Tubingen owed much to the philosophy of Georg Hegel (1770-1831), a philosophical heir of ancient gnosis:

"...Hegel's early writings were very much influenced by Christoph Oetinger (1702-1782), the gnostic Kabbalist and disciple of both Jakob Boehme and Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1722)."  (SCP Journal, Vol. 28:4-29:1, 2005, p. 33)

In his book, "Scientific Mythologies," James A. Herrick traces the modern 'aliens from outer-space' idea back to mystics such as Emanuel Swedenborg  who claimed to not only receive telepathic secrets from spirits but to have visited populated planets during out-of-body experiences. (p. 43)

Swedenborg was an important member of the occult intelligentsia and his influence is far-reaching.  From Hegel and Kant to the occult theosophist Madame Blavatsky (who strongly influenced Hitler) to points in between and on into our own time to psychologist J.B. Rhine, a vast array of science fiction writers (i.e., H.G. Wells, Ray Bradbury, Steven Spielberg) and numerous evolutionary scientists.

Hegel was another important member of the occult intelligentsia.  He closely studied the magic traditions, including ancient Egyptian Hermeticism, esoteric Kabala, and theosophy as well as mesmerism, psychic phenomena, dowsing, precognition, and sorcery.  He professed belief in a pantheistic Earth Spirit and informally aligned himself with Hermetic societies, the materialist-Freemasons, and the pantheist-Rosicrucian's.  (Hegel and the Hermetic Tradition, Glenn Alexander Magee, 2001)

In reworking Hegel's dialectic, Karl Marx incorporated into his own form of evolution-- dialectical materialism — the Hermetic magic of Hegel's system.

Hermeticism is the secret science of magic created by Hermes Trismegistus Thoth  who lived in ancient Egypt.   In his Biographia Antiqua, the English occultist Frances Barret wrote that Hermes,

"....communicated the sum of the Abyss, and divine knowledge to all posterity."

The 'Abyss' refers to either eternally existing matter or spontaneously generated matter.   In any case, the foundations of Hermeticism are forbidden knowledge, gnosis revealed to Hermes during an out-of-body encounter with The Great Dragon described in The Divine Pymander of Hermes Mercurias Trismegistus.    Calling  itself Poimandres, the Mind of the Universe, the Dragon transformed itself into a glorious being of Light and proceeded to 'illuminate' Hermes with the forbidden knowledge that would eventually find its' way into Hegel's dialectic and from there into Marx's dialectical materialism and Darwin's materialist philosophy.   (www.themystica.com/)

Charles Darwin received the idea of evolution from his grandfather Dr. Erasmus Darwin who was a neo-pagan monist  known to attend séances.  As master of the famous Masonic Canongate lodge in Edinburgh he had close ties with both the Jacobin Masons, the organizers of the bloody revolution in France, and with the infamous Illuminati, whose diabolical cause was overthrow of  the  Church and destruction of Christendom.  Thus Erasmus Darwin was an important name in European Masonic anti-religious organizations engaged in revolutionary activism.  Erasmus Darwin mentored his grandson Charles:

"Dr. Erasmus Darwin (1731-1802) was the first man in England to suggest those ideas which were later to be embodied in the Darwinian theory by his grandson, Charles Darwin (1809-1882) who wrote in 1859 Origin of Species." (Scarlet and the Beast, Vol. II, John Daniel, p. 34)

In this light, it makes sense that Darwinism is a Gnostic myth, as Dr. Wolfgang Smith, physicist and mathematics professor at Oregon State University argues:

"...As a scientific theory, Darwinism would have been jettisoned long ago. The point, however, is that the doctrine of evolution has swept the world, not on the strength of its scientific merits, but precisely in its capacity as a Gnostic myth. It affirms, in effect, that living things created themselves, which is in essence a metaphysical claim....Thus...evolutionism is a metaphysical doctrine decked out in scientific garb....it is a scientistic myth. And the myth is Gnostic, because it implicitly denies the transcendent origin of being; for indeed, only after the living creature has been speculatively reduced to an aggregate of particles does Darwinist transformism become conceivable. Darwinism, therefore, continues the ancient Gnostic practice of deprecating 'God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth.' It perpetuates...the venerable Gnostic tradition of 'Jehovah bashing.'" (From Old Gnosticism to New Age I, Alan Morrison, SCP Journal Vol. 28:4-29:1, 2005, pp. 30-31)

By far the most heretical and destructive incursion into divine truth was the assertion of the immanence of God at the expense of His transcendence (separateness from His creation).  At bottom, this assertion is an expression of both the Abyss (monism) and mystical pantheism, or the immanentization of "the Christian eschaton,"  as the learned political philosopher Eric Voegelin put it in "Science, Politics & Gnosticism."

Voegelin writes that within Western thought there has persisted a deep-seated tendency to transfer Christian hopes and symbols from an otherworldly orientation to an "intramundane range of actions."  In other words, whereas Christianity in the Roman Empire had achieved the de-divinization of the natural world, society, and man,  the Gnostic revolution seeks to undo and reverse all of this, thus it has for its purpose,

"....a change in the nature of man and the establishment of a transfigured society." (Voegelin, The New Science of Politics & Gnosticism, chapter 4)

The change in the nature of man refers to the necessity of unmaking man so he is no longer God's spiritual image-bearer.  This can only occur after the living creature has been speculatively reduced to an aggregate of particles.  Only then does Darwinist transformism of man into divinized superman become conceivable:

"...the evolution of man into superman — was always the purpose of the ancient Mysteries, and the real purpose of modern Masonry is not the social and charitable purposes to which so much attention is paid, but the expediting of the spiritual evolution of those who aspire to perfect their own nature and transform it into a more god-like quality.  And this is a definite science, a royal art, which it is possible for each of us to put into practice..." (The Meaning of Masonry, W.L. Wilmhurst, p. 47)

In "The Gnostic Tradition and Renaissance Occultism," Catholic philosopher and historian  Thomas Molnar (1921–2010) summarizes the entire program of the Gnostic revolution as the spontaneous bent,

"...of the archaic mind which predominated in most parts of the world and which threatens to prevail once more in our time the temptation. to identify God and self, to recognize in the soul a divine substance, indeed the seat of divinity." ("The Gnostic Tradition and Renaissance Occultism," Thomas Molnar, The Journal of Christian Reconstruction, Vol.1, No.2, 112, 1974)

Due to accommodation by seminarians, Christian thinkers, Popes, bishops, nuns, priest, pastors, and other clergy,  neo-Gnostic mystical pantheism together with its primary doctrine evolution has successfully infiltrated, absorbed and radically reinvented and inverted the Bible, beginning with the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo which it has supplanted with evolution.

Since its' inception, its main purpose has been the importation,

"...into the church via the use of Christian terminology...the various historic expressions of pagan notions, in particular, the denial of God's transcendence.   In this sense, the first "liberals" were the Gnostics.  Certainly a form of Gnosticism, sometimes called proto-Gnosticism is behind the denial of the incarnation in the Johannine epistles, and of the resurrection in the early and later Paulines.   Interestingly, the Liberals of the modern period have had a great admiration for the proto-Gnostics, in particular, Marcion.  In A.D. 150, Marcion, a theologian from Pontus in Asia Minor, was excommunicated from the Church in Rome for heretical teaching.  He dismissed God the Creator, the Old Testament, the Mosaic law, and three of the gospels. From the few epistles of Paul that he accepted, he expunged Old Testament quotations and claimed to worship the "alien god" behind the God of Scripture." (Dr. Peter Jones, 2007, truthxchange.com)

In his acclaimed work, “New World Order: The Ancient Plan of Secret Societies,” former newspaper editor and publisher William T. Still reveals that modernism and its' New World Order (i.e.,Communism and Fascism) have their origins in Luciferian Illuminism and summarizes the occult intelligentsia's program in the following five points:

1. Abolition of all ordered governments and national boundaries

2. Abolition of private property and inheritances

3. Abolition of national boundaries and patriotism

4. Abolition of family life and the institution of Biblically instituted marriage, and the establishment of cradle-to-grave state-controlled communal education

5. Abolition of all religion with particular emphasis upon supernatural Christianity and faithful Judaism

Because modernists disavow the Fall, they hold that Lucifer is not the devil but rather a being of good, the first free thinker, a seething force of evolution, the genetic creator of man, and the angel of evolution while the living God is evil and Jesus Christ just another mortal after the fashion of Buddha.

Now we know not only with what and by what means the desecration of the Holy Bride of Christ has occurred, but by who---the devil.

Darwinism: devilish Gnostic Cosmogony Dressed up as Modern Science

The late Fr. Seraphim Rose, an Eastern Orthodox priest, meticulously documented the views of the church fathers with regard to the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo, showing that they viewed Genesis the way modern creationists do.    Rose's work was published posthumously in "Genesis, Creation, and Early Man," and in a review of the book Dr. Terry Mortenson said,

"His (Rose's) primary sources are early Fathers who wrote commentaries on Genesis: John Chrysostom (344-407), Ephraim the Syrian (306-379), Basil the Great (329-379) and Ambrose of Milan (339-397)/  But he also used many other Fathers of that and later centuries who wrote on some aspect of creation."  (15 Reasons to take Genesis as History, Don Batten, Ph.D., and Jonathan Sarfati Ph. D., pp. 19-20)

Fr. Rose showed that church fathers viewed the Genesis account, especially the first two chapters, as revelation from God the Creator and Author of history, and that they were unanimous in their view of the historicity of Creation Week, the Fall and global Flood.  They also held that the days were ordinary days, that God's commands  instantaneously filled the earth with shrubbery, caused trees to shoot up,  suddenly filled rivers with fish, and further, that animals did not originally eat each other and the sun was created after the earth .

Demonstrating that evolutionary thinking has been a pagan, devilish anti-God idea from its earliest origins, church fathers spoke forcefully against popular evolutionary ideas of humans springing from fish and animals and having been bushes, birds, and fish in other lives.

There is nothing new under the sun.  What once was will be again.   And so it is that naturalism (paganism) together with evolutionary thinking cleverly reinvented for our own age as biological and empirical science, Big Bang, abiogenesis, and other so-called modern "scientific theories" have triumphantly supplanted the living God and creation ex nihilo.    Thus today all people whose faith in the living, personal God of Revelation is genuine face a seemingly insurmountable problem with what seems like an overwhelming weight of evidence that materialism (naturalism) and its' primary doctrine evolution are true and the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo is either false or at best nothing more than a fable of sorts.

In our age evolutionary theists join with secular mockers and scoffers in scornfully ridiculing and otherwise psychologically battering the faithful for being unenlightened, unscientific and anti-evolution.

However, the real issue here is not "superstitious, backward Christianity" vs. "enlightened reason and science," but about one creation account (Genesis) vs. another anti-creation account (materialistic Darwinian evolution). The truth of this claim can be seen in the following quotes:

"...one belief that all true original Darwinians held in common, and that was their rejection of creationism, their rejection of special creation (ex nihilo). This was the flag around which they assembled and under which they marched.... The conviction that the diversity of the natural world was the result of natural processes and not the work of God was the idea that brought all the so-called Darwinians together in spite of their disagreements on other of Darwin's theories. (One Long Argument,1991, p. 99, Ernst Mayr (1904–2005), Professor of Zoology at Harvard University)

"We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door." ("Billions and Billions of Demons," Richard Lewontin (b. 1929), PhD Zoology, Alexander Agassiz Research Professor at Harvard University)

In other words, evolutionary materialists and their mystical pantheist counterparts  have a Cosmic Authority problem, and this is why they rally around Darwinism and force its absurd, counterintuitive teachings upon gullible, misinformed Americans while simultaneously ridiculing and otherwise psychologically terrorizing creationists, among whose numbers are many of the defenders of America's founding traditions.

Commenting on his own Cosmic Authority problem and that of many atheists, Thomas Nagel, professor of philosophy and law at New York University, confesses:

"I want atheism to be true and am made uneasy by the fact that some of the most intelligent and well-informed people I know are religious believers. It isn't just that I don't believe in God and, naturally, hope that I'm right in my belief. It's that I hope there is no God! I don't want there to be a God; I don't want the universe to be like that. My guess is that this cosmic authority problem is not a rare condition and that it is responsible for much of the scientism and reductionism of our time. One of the tendencies it supports is the ludicrous overuse of evolutionary biology to explain everything about life, including everything about the human mind." (The Rage Against God: How Atheism Led Me To Faith, Peter Hitchens, pp. 149-150)

Just what is Darwinism anyway?

Darwinism is a Gnostic cosmogony, an anti-creation myth, notes Dr. Wolfgang Smith, physicist and mathematics professor at Oregon State University:

Gnostics

Historically, Gnostics have always been notorious God-haters to the extent of consigning Him to hell. Early church fathers called them the "lawless ones," as they were idolizers of their own minds, rebels against all authority, immoralists, hedonists, and builders of alternative realities (utopian fantasies) requiring the death of God, for the heart of Gnosticism is "man is god."

While the infamous Tower of Babel was history's first Gnostic project, the Soviet Union and Socialist Germany are modern versions. In his book "Science, Politics, & Gnosticism," esteemed political philosopher Eric Voegelin (1901-85) identifies progressivism, positivism, Hegelianism, Marxism, liberalism, and the "God is dead" school as modern Gnostic movements. All of these movements are grounded on the Gnostic myth of Darwinism.

In their rage against the living God, modern Gnostics refuse to be created in His spiritual image, thus they imaginatively "uncreate" themselves through reductionism. In practice this means that  some Gnostic materialists  speculatively reduce themselves to "aggregates of particles," while pneumatics reduce to "divine sparks,"  and transhumanists to "patterns."   Reductionism is a major tenet of the philosophy of materialism.

Materialist philosophy is neither new nor scientific, but one of the most ancient superstitious beliefs in the world. The taproot of the ancient form stretches back to Babylonia and Egypt and holds that primordial matter (also called Chaos, the Abyss, Nu and Prakriti)  has always existed and that everything---including the gods--- emerged out of it.   According to the modern version, brute matter spontaneously generated itself from nothing, and then by way of evolution magically produced everything else. To believe this is to believe that the 'nothingness' within the magician's hat spontaneously generated the bunny.

If evolutionism was a gas-powered generator, then spontaneous generation would be its indispensable fuel.  In the following quote, observe that Ernst Haeckel, a mystical pantheist and ardent defender of Darwinism, confesses that spontaneous generation is not empirically verifiable because it is metaphysical, of the unseen realm.  Haeckel further confesses that this Gnostic doctrine is the essential replacement for creation ex nihilo — the miracle of creation in other words:

"...spontaneous generation appears to us as a simple and necessary event in the process of the development of the earth. We admit that this process, as long as it is not directly observed or repeated by experiment, remains a pure hypothesis. But I must again say that this hypothesis is indispensable for the consistent completion of the non-miraculous history of creation, that it has absolutely nothing forced or miraculous about it, and that certainly it can never be positively refuted. It must also be taken into consideration that the process of spontaneous generation, even if it still took place daily and hourly, would in any case be exceedingly difficult to observe and establish with absolute certainty as such. This is also the opinion of Naegeli, the ingenious investigator, and he, in his admirable chapter on Spontaneous Generation, maintains that "to deny spontaneous generation is to proclaim miracles." (The History of Creation v.1, 1892, p. 422)

Ray Comfort quotes evolutionist Stephen Hawking, who in essence affirms that "the nothingness within the magician's hat spontaneously generated the bunny:"

"According to professor Stephen Hawking, God didn't create the universe. Instead, nothing created everything. However, Hawking has violated the basic laws of science. In an extract of his latest book, The Grand Design...published in Eureka magazine in The Times, the professor said: 'Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist.'"

"It is embarrassingly unscientific to speak of anything creating itself from nothing," remarked Comfort. "Common sense says that if something possessed the ability to create itself from nothing, then that something wasn't nothing, it was something — a very intelligent creative power of some sort. "

Comfort concludes:

"Hawking has violated the unspoken rules of atheism. He isn't supposed to use words like 'create' or even 'made.' They necessitate a Creator and a Maker. Neither are you supposed to let out that the essence of atheism is to believe that nothing created everything, because it's unthinking." (Hawking Breaks Atheists Rules, Comfort, worldviewweekend.com)

From the time of Adam and Eve down to our own age, it remains the case that deceivers (i.e., Haeckel, Lewontin, Hawking) will always eventually confess the truth against themselves.   In this instance, spontaneous generation is a lie, a "just-so" story. However, the importance of this particular deception is that it is the irreplaceable metaphysical foundation of the larger Gnostic myth of Darwinism. Without this particular deception Darwinism...indeed all evolutionism...falls apart, leaving only God's miraculous creation ex nihilo.

Furthermore, the respected scientist Louis Pasteur definitively disproved spontaneous generation just three years after Darwin published his book "On the Origin of Species:"

"... Darwin's celebrated tome On the Origin of Species, which had been published just three years before Pasteur's experiments, sought to discredit the need for God to create the species by showing how one species can transmute into another. But Darwin's account left open the problem of how the first living thing came to exist. Unless life had always existed, at least one species — the first — cannot have come to exist by transmutation from another species, only by transmutation from nonliving matter. Darwin himself wrote, some years later: 'I have met with no evidence that seems in the least trustworthy, in favour of so-called Spontaneous Generation.' Yet, in the absence of a miracle, life could have originated only by some sort of spontaneous generation. Darwin's theory of evolution and Pasteur's theory that only life begets life cannot both have been completely right." (The Fifth Miracle, 1999, p. 83, Paul Davies (b. 1946), Director of BEYOND: Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science)

The Darwinian Deception

Colin Patterson writes that after studying evolutionary theory for many years, he finally "woke up and realized that all my life I had been duped into taking evolutionism as revealed truth in some way." Patterson goes on to say:

"One of the reasons I started taking this anti-evolutionary view, or let's call it a non- evolutionary view, was last year I had a sudden realization for over twenty years I had thought I was working on evolution in some way. One morning I woke up and something had happened in the night and it struck me that I had been working on this stuff for twenty years and there was not one thing I knew about it. That's quite a shock to learn that one can be so misled so long. Either there was something wrong with me or there was something wrong with evolutionary theory. Naturally, I know there is nothing wrong with me, so for the last few weeks I've tried putting a simple question to various people and groups of people....Question is: Can you tell me anything you know about evolution, any one thing, that is true? I tried that question on the geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History and the only answer I got was silence. I tried it on the members of the Evolutionary Morphology Seminar in the University of Chicago, a very prestigious body of evolutionists, and all I got there was silence for a long time and eventually one person said, 'I do know one thing — it ought not to be taught in high school.'"  ("Evolutionism and Creationism" November 5, 1981, p. 2, Colin Patterson (1933–1998), Senior Paleontologist at British Museum of Natural History)

When C.S. Lewis perceptively observed that the entire edifice of the so-called "science" of Darwinian naturalism has but one purpose, to keep the living, personal Creator out, he was merely confirming admissions made by Lewontin and many other Darwinists. In sum, Darwinism is a Gnostic cosmogony, a deception perpetrated by self-worshipping swindlers who have been "pulling the wool" over the eyes of the uninitiated masses, to use Lewontins' own words. (The Oxford Socratic Club, 1944)

Deceptions have Terrible Consequences

Long before Gnostic materialists systematically liquidated in excess of 200,000,000 men, women, and children on behalf of communist and socialist utopian fantasies, George Romanes sought to warn the world of the coming catastrophe:

"Never in the history of man has so terrific a calamity befallen the race as that which all who look may now behold advancing as a deluge, black with destruction, resistless in might, uprooting our most cherished hopes, engulfing our most precious creed, and burying our highest life in mindless desolation.... The flood-gates of infidelity are open, and Atheism overwhelming is upon us." (George Romanes, A Candid Examination of Theism,1878)

More recently, H. Enock wrote:

"No wonder that Brig. General F.D. Frost stated in the Fundamentalist, January, 1950, p. 21: 'There is no doubt about it that the doctrine of evolution is the greatest curse in our educational system.' Whether we read Ward's Dynamic Sociology, or Russell's Code of Morals, or Briffalt's Immoralism or some other book written by the Behaviorist School, — they all seem to endeavour to justify and base their conclusions on the bestial nature of man. This philosophy seeks to.... reduce man to the level of animal nature. The surging unrest, the broken homes, the frustrated lives, the increasing divorce cases, the multiplied number of criminals are but the inevitable outcome of the acceptance and practice of this evolutionary doctrine." (H. Enock, Evolution or Creation,1966, pp. 1146-1147)

Evolutionism "should not be taught in high school." Indeed.  The Gnostic rebellion against the living God, the historicity of the Genesis account, Original Sin and Christian theism that began during the Renaissance is the spiritual disorder of our age and Darwinism, philosophical materialism and spontaneous generation are its toxic roots.

Imaginative murderer of the living God, destroyer of man's soul, inverter of reality, hater of humanity, uplifter of Satan as the first "free thinker," destroyer of immutable truth, moral absolutes, history and all that is good, normal, and decent; bringer of chaos, blasphemy, hedonism, pathological lying, genocide and other evils too many to be listed, modern neo-pagan Gnosticism has all but destroyed America and the West.

In his book, "The Rage Against God: How Atheism Led Me To Faith," Peter Hitchens, brother of now-deceased atheist Christopher Hitchens, writes:

"...the Bible angers and frustrates those who believe that the pursuit of a perfect society justifies the quest for absolute power. The concepts of sin, of conscience, of eternal life, and of divine justice under an unalterable law are the ultimate defense against the utopian's belief that ends justify means and that morality is relative. These concepts are safeguards against the worship of human power." (Rage Against God, p. 135)

The Western civilized nations rose to greatness on the wings of just one spiritual faith ...Christianity. Unalienable rights, private property and all the rest, come from the transcendent, living Creator and not from weak, easily corrupted men. Through abandonment of its spiritual roots, the West — which today is a Gnostic-West — is moving inexorably toward its death.

America is the West's last best hope, observed Mark Steyn. Yet at every level of society and within the Church itself, the spirit of America is pathologically infected by the Gnostic virus and near death.   Gnosticism must be destroyed. To do this we must tear it out by the roots. Darwinism must be uprooted and exposed for what it really is: an anti-God, human-hating Gnostic cosmogony.  Thus we must,

".....demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and...take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Cor. 10-5)

Bus Ride from Hell

Transhumanism is a powerfully influential planetary ‘elite’  movement that believes man can begin a radical transfiguration of himself by merging his brain with technology with the long term goal of eventually transferring his ‘essence’ out of his decaying body and into a highly advanced robo-machine. A Daily Mail article reported that,

‘…inserting technology into human brains is not the only thing going on. Some scientists also want to insert human brains into technology” (“Hitler would have loved The Singularity: Mind-blowing benefits of merging human brains and computers,” Ian Morris, 6 February 2012, dailymail.co.uk)

In July 2012, transhumanism officially came out of the closet and into the arena of politics when Italy, a longtime stronghold of the Catholic Church, became the first major Western nation to elect an active transhumanist to congress. (Italy elects first transhumanist MP, Giulio Prisco, Aug. 26, 2012, kurzweilai.net)

Though it lauds itself as thoroughly scientific, enlightened and forward looking, transhumanism is merely the pantheist counterpart of scientific materialism’s secular humanism. In his book, The Abolition of Man (1947), C.S. Lewis observed that mystical pantheist or cosmic humanism and materialist secular humanism and similar variants appeared in Western history in the heart of Christendom during the Renaissance.

The Renaissance reawakened a magic view of the world closely connected with  Gnostic mystical pantheism, Eastern pantheism as well as Hermetic and alchemical-scientism. Along with Eastern pantheism came spiritual evolution, reincarnation, karma, Theosophy, occultism and eventually New Theology (modernism) while for its’ materialist counterpart there eventually came Darwinism and determinism rather than karma.

Early on Lewis understood that Cosmic and Secular Humanism were merely two sides of the same revival of pagan monism. Thus he argued, Cosmic and Secular Humanism are not enemies in principle but rather cooperating philosophies  of naturalism united against the Creator Who exists outside of the time-space universe, His Revelation to mankind,  the two created sexes, Original Sin, His moral law, Christian theism, and Christian-based civilization.

During Lewis’s lifetime, cosmic and secular humanist ideas together with gnostic philosophical and utopian systems were growing in acceptance and popularity throughout academia, within seminaries, universities and among the masses.

Among common points of departure for both types of humanism are the following ideas:

1. Rejection of the living God Who dwells outside the time-space universe with special antipathy directed against Jesus Christ God incarnate in favor of “only this world” naturalism; no God, a distant God or pantheist conceptions of God, and Jesus Christ as a mortal teacher such as Buddha, the angelic brother of Lucifer, the gnostic alchemist's Lapis Philosophorum ,or perhaps a highly evolved Transcended Master or spirit guide.

2. Rejection of the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo in favor of either pre-existing or spontaneously generated matter and mechanical evolutionary processes

3. Rejection of physical eternal life in either Paradise (renewed earth) or hell in favor of no afterlife whatsoever, Cosmic Salvation (the ultimate goal of gnostic alchemys Great Work) or wholly spiritual conceptions such as man’s ghost forever wandering about in the aerial realm of spirits or perhaps living a phantom existence on a planet.

4. Humanity as deity.

5. Subjectivism:  No right way, no wrong way, all directions lead to the same place.

The dangers of holding erroneous views are profound and in his book, “The Great Divorce,” Lewis attempted to address them by presenting us with a masterful study of the psychology of the hell-bound versus the psychology of the Paradise-bound.

As Lewis fleshes out his view of hell, he relies in part on his mentor George MacDonald, a Scottish preacher and writer who believed there might be a final opportunity for the unrepentant on earth to repent after their death. Building off this idea, Lewis depicts the damned as taking a bus ride from hell to heaven, where they come in contact with “real” reality.

Heaven is a place of matter, of weight and mass and the blessed inhabitants are the beautiful “bright solid people” as opposed to the self-idolizing dirty shades without mass, or matter. N.T. Wright explains,

“…there will be a new mode of physicality, which stands in relation to our present body as our present body does to a ghost….a Christian in the present life is a mere shadow of his or her future self, the self that person will be when the body that God has waiting in his heavenly storeroom is brought out…and put on…over the self that will still exist after bodily death.” (Eternal Perspectives, Randy Alcorn, p. 154-155)

The bus finally arrives in heaven having arisen from what turns out to be a mere crack in the ground for Lewis sees all Hell as,

“….smaller than one pebble of your earthly world: but it is smaller than one atom of this world, the Real World.”  (The Great Divorce, An Essay, Allen Adams, cslewis.drzeus.net)

As the hell-bound depart the bus they are shocked by the realization that not only are they dirty ghosts but they cannot abide the matter, the fleshiness of heaven because in life, like the pagan sages, the Gnostic Arnobius and contemporary secular and cosmic transhumanists and gnostic mystic pantheists like Teilhard de Chardin, they were dissatisfied with their own bodies and created condition as either male or female, for example, as well as with the finiteness of their own minds.

In “Adversus nationes” (2.37) Arnobius complains,

“If souls were of the Lord’s race…They would never come to these terrestrial places (and) inhabit opaque bodies and (be) mixed with humors and blood, in receptacles of excrement, in vases of urine.” (The Pagan Temptation, Thomas Molnar, p. 27)

Molnar explains that from Plato to Plotinus and the Christian Gnostics, it was held as axiomatic that from being as one with or an aspect of the Divine Substance, spirit (gnostic pneuma) had inexplicably fallen into the material realm, a place of misery, suffering and binary, which means for example, two distinct sexes rather than a two-in- one, the androgynous being  called ‘gay’ in modern terminology.   Salvation was secured through the mystery cults which,

“...afforded their devotees the opportunity to erase the curse of mortality by direct encounter with the patron deity or in many instances by actually undergoing an apotheosis, a transfiguration of human into divine. The process of ‘initiation’ in the mystery religions, therefore, had as its objective the liberation of the soul from its earthly…chains” (C.K. Barrett cited in “The Interruption of Eternity,” Carl A. Raschke, p. 28)

Carl Teichrib, author of “The Rise of Techno-Gods: The Merging of Transhumanism and Spirituality” writes that transhumanists believe they are on the verge of evolving into deity. They are no longer mere humans but post-humans. Theirs is the technical quest for the Holy Grail, ascension through engineering.  Transhumanism is modern-day alchemy and magic, the contemporary manifestation of the Secret Doctrine of Hermes Trismegistus Thoth:  “All is One, and that One is Divinity.”

Transhumanist Mark Pesce, a co-inventor of 3-D interfacing for the worldwide web and a panelist and judge on ABC’s show The New Inventors, puts it this way,

“…. we seek… a transcendence of transience, translation to incorruptible form. An escape if you will, a stop to the wheel. We seek, therefore, to bless ourselves with perfect knowledge and perfect will; To become as gods, take the universe in hand, and transform it in our image – for our own delight. As it is on Earth, so it shall be in the heavens. There is no God but Man.” (Carl Teichrib, www.forcingchange.org)

At the root of the rejection of the living God by the hell-bound is the rebellious assertion that man has not been created by Him, that he is not dependent upon Him for his own life, thus he is not created in His spiritual image. He is not dependent upon the living God but is rather a man-god, the creator of God, and the master of time, being, and the world who through his own powers will save himself.

Blaming the true God for their misery the hell-bound say to Him, “you are not my father:”

“I am I, I come out of myself, and in choice and action I make myself.”  (Daniel Bell, quoted by Herbert Schlossberg in “Idols for Destruction,” p. 43)

Having  transferred onto Him the reasons for their wrong choices and dissatisfaction with self, the hell-bound long for eternal nothingness, absorption into the void, apotheosis, or some spiritual conception of afterlife, but when as dirty shades they step onto the “solidness” of heaven it is tremendously painful to them. The grass is sharp on their feet, the rain goes go through them like bullets from a machine gun. They can’t even pick flowers as the stems are far too strong for them.

Here Lewis contrasts the psychology of the hell-bound over and against the psychology of the heaven-bound. He does so by clearly depicting just how repugnant heaven is to the hell-bound. To them, paradise is a place of pain and suffering because during life, they freely chose unwisely based on selfish motives.

Teilhard de Chardin for instance,  consciously abandoned the ‘old’ forms of Christian theism, particularly creation ex nihilo, the Incarnation of the Word and eternal life in Paradise in favor of  gnostic conceptions.  He had nothing but contempt for,

“…all those goody-goody romances about the saints and the martyrs! Whatever normal child would want to spend eternity in such boring company?” (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 584)

Enormously proud, resentful and covetous, the hell-bound are subjectivists who hold that any direction, but particularly their own direction, will come out fine in the end, but Lewis sees the real danger to society as a result of this belief.    The common good said Lewis, is only maintained by the common morality.  Societies that embrace subjectivism are doomed to decay and death.   Lewis put it this way,

“…some way of embracing both alternatives can always be found, that mere development of adjustment or refinement will somehow turn evil into good without our being called on for a final and total rejection of anything we should like to retain.  This belief I take to be a disastrous error.”    ( The Great Divorce, An Essay, Allen Adams)

So holding that any direction is fine, especially their own, the hell-bound have their own ever-unfolding menu of privileges which they called ‘rights,’ their own version of the Golden Rule and of what constitutes good, such as their ‘choice’ to deny life to the inconvenient, to practice their own pansexual ‘love,’ and to live parasitic lives at the expense of the productive. As they were morally-perfect and autonomous they traveled their own sovereign roads and expected the God of Revelation and everyone else to accept and tolerate them—to put up and shut up. This being the case, they resent the living God and blame Him for not accepting them just as they are, for not jumping through hoops for them, for not seeing things their way.

On the other hand, the heaven-bound think that anyone would be delighted to live in heaven at first, and then one day on the renewed earth, Paradise. Yet the things of heaven and Paradise that bring unspeakable joy to its’ bright, beautiful, eternally youthful inhabitants bring immense pain to the envious hell-bound as can be seen in the way that even the grass of heaven hurts the feet of the ghosts.

Lewis shows that heaven is a place of eternal joy, of unbelievably beautiful happy people, colors, music, flowers, singing birds, delicious food, and never-ending light unencumbered by misery. This last was an especially good insight, for the hell-bound love misery and demand that others share their misery, which in the end means spending eternity in hell. In fact, the paradise-bound often feel that their joys and blessings must be constrained, denigrated and even hidden from the burning gaze of the envious, that they ought to share the miseries of the envious lest they be accused of hate, narrow-minded intolerance, selfishness, and bigotry. Yet Lewis, speaking through the voice of George MacDonald, reveals that hatred of the good underlies the demands of envious self-idolaters:

That sounds very merciful: but see what lurks behind it?” “What?” “The demand of the loveless and the self-imprisoned that they should be allowed to blackmail the universe: that till they consent to be happy (on their own terms) no one else shall taste joy: that theirs should be the final power; that Hell should be allowed to veto Heaven.” ( ibid, The Great Divorce)

In his “Journey to the Celestial City,” Wayne Martindale similarly describes the hell-bound as haters of good people. Self-centeredness, hate, and envy twist their hearts, thus they prefer evil thoughts, evil words, evil companions and evil acts, though it makes them wretched and miserable. Thus when they encounter good people they,

“…condemn them, perverting their reason by rationalizing evil and finding ways to blame the good or God or religion for their problems and the problems of the world. They already hate goodness because it implicitly condemns the evil they have chosen. They wouldn’t like heaven if they could have it. They are, in a sense, already in hell, preferring darkness to light.” (Eternal Perspectives, Randy Alcorn, p 76)

In a further discussion with McDonald, Lewis speaks of the issues of the dirty phantoms and the reality of heaven and hell. The question of choices comes up and Macdonald says this,

Milton was right,” said my Teacher. “The choice of every lost sould can be expressed in the words, ‘Better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven.’ ….. There is always something they prefer to joy — that is, to reality.” (ibid, The Great Divorce, Allen Adams)

Lewis sees the importance of free moral agency, for the living God ultimately honors our choices, whether for good or evil, as demonstrated by the unwise choices of contemporary secular and cosmic transhumanists, apostatizing Christians and others of that persuasion.

Choosing pride and self-centeredness they are unwisely rejecting the God of Revelation and His offer of Paradise, and like a dog returning to its’ own vomit,  are returning to the vomit of ancient paganism revamped, revised and made palatable for modern Western consumption. Thus their envy and self-idolatry lead to the conceptual murder of God and the rejection of His work on the cross, which means that by their own choice, they shut themselves out of paradise. So Lewis makes this point, saying that Hell is of their choosing:

There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, in the end, ‘Thy will be done.’ All that are in Hell chose it.”
