Gnostic Chiliastic Evolution: Satan's Alternative Plan of Salvation

“…so far as human wisdom and resources are concerned, the salvation of sinners is as impossible as raising the dead.  Every conceivable method of expiation and purification has been tried without success.”   Charles Hodge

In the hearts of all humans, bar none, is the possibility of evil, thus sin, said GK Chesterton, is as obvious as potatoes.  This being the case it is completely irrational for the unrepentant to think they can purify themselves and others when it is their evil conscience and will turned toward wickedness---aspects of their souls--- that need cleansing.  And it is because man is evil and depraved, that the 20th century’s purification movements-- Marxist Communism and Nazi Socialism---purified the human gene pool by murdering in excess of 160,000,000 men, women and children of which in Russia, approximately half were Christians.  According to Srdja Trifkovic, persecution and martyrdom of Christians under 20th century totalitarianism, and mainly of Russian Orthodox Christians under Communist Bolshevism,

“….is by far the greatest crime in all of recorded history….Attempts at “killing the soul” started only months after the Revolution of 1917.” Persecution and martyrdom was, “several times greater than the Holocaust in terms of innocent lives brutally destroyed. It has killed more Christians in a few decades than all other causes put together in all ages, with Islam a distant second as the cause of their death and suffering. And yet it still remains a largely unknown, often minimized, or scandalously glossed over crime.” (New Martyrs of the East and Coming Trials in the West, Srdja Trifkovic, OrthodoxyToday.com)

In his analysis of Marxist Communism, early conservative intellectual Frank Meyer describes it as the state form taken by a materialist pagan,

"...faith determined to rule the world"   Communism is the "final synthesis of all heretical tendencies that have pervaded Western civilization for many centuries."  (The Conservative Intellectual Movement, pp. 251-252)

Communism is a godless, philosophically pagan form of heretical Jewish elements and heretical Protestant liberalism's upside-down, anti-creation account grounded in a chiliastic-evolutionary, apocalyptic proclamation of a coming new order based in belief in the inevitability of evolutionary progress from molecule to sea-weed, reptile, ape, hominid, and finally god-man and in the perfectibility of this fallen world. (1)

Chiliasm in Greek means 'thousand years' and is primarily a godless version of the millennial belief expressed in some Christian denominations that there will be a paradise on earth where Christ will reign for a thousand years prior to the final judgment and future eternal state.

The contemporary chiliastic-evolutionary movement is Technocracy.  The world is being actively transformed by an amoral power elite and their minions according to a very narrow economical/political/social philosophy called Technocracy, and it is impacting every segment of society in every corner of the world:

"Technocracy is being sponsored and orchestrated by a global elite led by David Rockefeller's and Zbigniew Brzezinski's Trilateral Commission...Originally started in the early 1930's, Technocracy is antithetical to every American institution that made us into the greatest nation on earth.  It eschews property rights, obsoletes capitalism, hates politicians and traditional structures, and promises a lofty utopian dream made possible only if engineers, scientists, and technicians are allowed to run society.  When Aldous Huxley penned Brave New World in 1932, he accurately foresaw this wrenching transformation of society and predicted that the end of it would be a scientific dictatorship unlike anything the world has ever seen." (Preface, Technocracy Rising, Patrick Wood)

Huxley concluded that Technocracy produces scientific dictatorship designed to scientifically engineer, manipulate, dominate and control the world's wealth and resources and micro-manage every human being in every detail of his life.  Moreover, said Huxley, the scientific and evolutionary system itself would become a god that was worshipped and questioning any aspect of it, such as the validity of evolution as empirical science, or any decision or outcome would be tantamount to blasphemy.

Like its' 20th century counterparts, Technocracy is the evolutionary chiliastic expression of a coming Golden Age that is the culminating hubris of Promethean god-men who having 'murdered' the Christian God mean to purify and remake man and creation.

In "Science, Politics and Gnosticism," highly respected political philosopher Eric Voegelin (1901-85) identifies many modern Gnostic movements.  They range from Comte's positivism, to progressivism, Hegelianism, Masonry, Marxist Communism, Nazi Socialism, Schleiermacher's doctrine of faith, Protestant liberalism, and Luciferian Theosophy.

In an upside-down exegesis typical of Gnosticism, Helena Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy, leading Masonic thinker, and important formulator of chiliastic evolution wrote in her book, "The Secret Doctrine" volume II,

"...it is but natural...to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind..."  (Theosophy University Press, 1888, p. 243, 513)

Chiliastic-evolutionary systems are modern forms of ancient and very "elitist" pre-Christian and Christian-era Gnosticism which assigns the Holy Triune God to hell and instead worships Lucifer.   Furthermore, it teaches that salvation is attained through the 'elitist' knowledge of Gnostic teachers such as gurus, god-men, certain scientists and Oprah Winfrey, a contemporary spiritual guide possessed of the knowledge of the Gnostic cosmogony.

With Satan as the spiritual father of an army of unrepentant Gnostic pagans, it is no wonder that modern Gnostic systems have so far produced every dictatorial, genocidal utopian movement of the 20th century and underpin contemporary spiritually pagan, chiliastic New Age and Technocratic globalists hopes and visions.  In his article, "Leftism a Radical Faith," Bruce Riggs notes that much of the political history of the extended 20th century is that of massive extinctions of citizenries by their dictatorial governments:

"Take the engineered mass starvations, torture chambers, firing squads, and gulags of Lenin and Stalin; Nazi gas chambers; Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge killing fields; the genocides of Mao's "Great Leap Forward,"; and the tyrannical North Korean Sung dynasty, and one will find that over one hundred million people have been slaughtered." (2)

The authors of the Black Book of Communism point to the godless anti-creation Darwinian "biological and zoological" strain of thinking as the engine of evil that proved itself a most effective means of denying the humanity of millions of victims:

"This strain of thinking is why so many of the crimes of Communism were crimes against humanity, and how Marxist-Leninist ideology managed to justify these crimes to its followers."  (The Black Book of Communism, Stephanie Courtois, p. 751)

The devilish Gnostic rebel Vladimir Lenin concurs.   Anti-creation Darwinism put an end to the belief that human, animals, and vegetable kinds bear no relation to one another and,

"that they were created by God, and hence immutable."  (Fatal Fruit, Tom DeRosa, p. 9)

Twentieth century Gnostic pagan god-states systematically dehumanized and murdered millions of people in order to create an imagined earthly Eden purified of evil, and this is clearly insane.  Yet this evil religion whose spiritual father is Satan continues today as a God-hating, globally elitist, evolutionary progressive, politico-centric faith entirely disdainful of orthodox Christian and faithful Jewish beliefs and contemptuous of those who subscribe to them.

In short, devilish Gnostic chiliastic evolution is a Satanic spiritually pagan religion with the look of a religious inquisition that represents the 20th century heretical version of orthodox Christianity.  Unless we grasp this crucial point the nature of this devilishly evil religion will elude us. (3)

Rise of Satan's Chiliastic Technocratic Utopia

In "False Dawn: The United Religions Initiative, Globalism, and the Quest for a One-World Religion," Lee Penn wans that the United Religions Initiative (URI) and the Gaia initiative represents the spiritually pagan religious facet of the coming Technocratic New World Order.  The URI is a United Nations organization that to a significant extent is animated by Satanic Gnostic chiliastic evolution. In preparation for the coming new order, a 'new' pagan spirituality is under construction of which the Earth Charter is set to become its Holy Writ.

Crafted by a conclave of 'Wise Persons' headed by former Soviet dictator Mikhail Gorbachev, its benign sounding verbiage,

"and symbolic nature camouflage its dangerous purpose.  The Charter is intended to become a universally adopted creed that will psychologically prepare the world's children to accept the necessity of world government to save the environment.  It is also an outrageous attempt to indoctrinate your children in the UN's New Age paganism." (The New World Religion, William F. Jasper, New American, 2002)

The URI has attracted a diverse group of activists and powerful supporters such as the Dalai Lama, progressive churchmen from the People's Republic of China, pro-gay Episcopalians, radical Muslims, feminist goddesses and witches, rich capitalist foundations, the Club of Rome, the Temple of Understanding, and the Lucis Trust, formerly called Lucifer Publishing.  Prominent supporters include occultist Robert Muller (former UN assistant secretary general and father of Common Core), Neale Donald Walsh, George Soros, Mikhail Gorbachev, Maurice Strong, Ted Turner, and Barbara Marx Hubbard.  (pp. 5, 7, 23-26)

Penn notes that evolution is absolutely central to the ambitions of Technocratic global elites.  Thus after more than eighty years of nearly unopposed evolutionary evangelization in schools, seminaries, pulpits, media, academia and elsewhere global elite god-men like Jeremy Rifkin are finally free to declare that evolution is a living "Mind" enlarging its domain as it evolves up and through the "chain of species."  Moreover, now that the evolution god "Mind" reigns supreme, global elitists no longer feel like guests in someone else's home and therefore obliged to make their behavior conform with a set of pre-existing cosmic rules:

"It is our creation now. We make the rules (and) establish the parameters of reality.  We create the world (and) no longer have to justify our behavior...We are responsible to nothing outside ourselves for we are the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever." (Algeny, Rifkin, 1983, p. 188)

Here we see that in the completely delusional, entirely depraved (Jer. 51: 17-18), and ultimately demonically orchestrated global elite dream-scape it is not the personal Triune God who has created and sustains the world.  No, it is each Gnostic man-god who creates and sustains his own world and meaning in every moment out of his own divine consciousness.  In other words, since according to the devil the substance of the Holy Creator God is distributed throughout all of the cosmos, including the mind of man, then by occult magic rituals such as transcendental meditation and brain-altering drugs, man can tap into the god-force within, thereby becoming a little god who controls the cosmos because he controls "Mind."  The physical world then, is an illusion because reality is inside the divine mind of the god-man.

Given the likelihood that an ancient evil intelligence has crawled inside Rifkin and other Technocratic god-men the fact that New Age spirituality relies heavily on spirit revelations channeled through mediums such as Blavatsky, Bailey, Benjamin Crème, Robert Muller, Neale Donald Walsh and Barbara Marx Hubbard, to name but a few, should come as no surprise.  Penn observes that all together they form a comprehensive anti-Gospel setting forth a Gnostic progressive vision of apocalyptic spiritualized totalitarianism that includes:

1. Praise for Lucifer as the light-bearer and giver of wisdom

2. Highly evolved humans are gods.

3. Advocacy for extreme population control

4. Concentrated hate directed at faithful Judaism, orthodox evangelical Protestantism, and Roman Catholicism

5. Forecasting a pending, and for them, desirable selection of mankind in which the progressives enter the New Age millennium and reactionaries face extinction.  For "New Age Apostles of 'progressive' Social Darwinism, these casualties are a necessary price to pay for human evolution." (Penn, p. 7)

Speaking through Barbara Marx Hubbard, her spirit guide 'Christ' prophesied in 1995 that the Rider of the Pale Horse will use the 'sword' as one of his means to "kill those who choose to remain self-centered."  (ibid, Penn, p. 322)

The meaning of 'self-centered' is briefly defined in the Global Biodiversity Assessment, a document mandated by the U.N. sponsored Convention on Biological Diversity. This document explicitly refers to Christianity as a faith that, rather than making God and humans one with nature, has instead set God and humans "apart from nature," a process in which nature has "lost its sacred qualities."  The document states:

"Conversion to Christianity has....meant an abandonment of an affinity with the natural world." (Al Gore, The United Nations and the Cult of Gaia, Cliff Kincaid, americasurvival.org, 1999)

In other words, because orthodox Christianity teaches that there is an unbridgeable gulf between the Triune God and His creation that is only breached by Jesus Christ then idolaters like Jeremy Rifkin do not and cannot share the substance of the Triune God as pantheism teaches.  According to Christianity man is radically different from the Lord and atonement, purification and mediation is achieved only through Jesus Christ, Who rose from the dead.  This means that neither Rifkin nor any other Technocratic global elitist is god but rather an evil idolater speeding along the broad, smooth highway to hell.

All modern Gnostic pagan movements share the same chiliastic goal: a coming "new pantheist order" and "new pagan god-man" completely purified of all evil and existing in oneness with the evolutionary god force.  This means extermination of all faithful Christians and Jews and other dissenters who refuse to become one with the god of forces.

Purification also extends to Biblical moral standards, sexual ethics, traditional marriage and traditions derived therefrom since they have been by-passed by the ongoing process of evolution.  These will be changed just as all distinctions between nonlife forms, life forms and gender will be blurred in the idea of evolution from molecule to ape to man and woman to transgender to androgynous god-man.  In the same way, all distinctions between good and evil, nations and religions will be merged in the chiliastic vision of worldly purification.

In conclusion, Gnostic chiliastic evolution is the anti-gospel of Satan, thus the antithesis of the glorious Gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ.  So powerful is the stranglehold of Satan's anti-gospel on millions of darkened Western minds that it has imaginatively inverted the order of creation and reversed the direction of Biblical theism, meaning that the millions of people whose minds are in bondage to Satan and his legions can no longer think right-side up.  With creation ex nihilo virtually replaced by the evolution god it is now believed that men have not fallen from perfection but are instead gradually evolving upward from their ape beginnings toward greater and greater spiritual perfection.

For all Westerners who are perhaps uncomfortable with, offended by, or outright hostile toward the personal Holy Triune God and His plan of salvation Satan's anti-gospel provides them a chiliastic plan of purification and a substitute deity---evolution---the animated god force of the cosmos which men believe they can control and direct.  Through scientifically controlled and directed evolution they imagine they are destined to realize unimaginable spiritual advances.

1 Kings 18:21--Scientific Neutrality, Biblical Deconstruction, & Modernist Christians

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6  "...in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Colossians 2:9

John 1:10 tells us that everything seen and unseen was created ex nihilo by the spoken Word of the Son of God, which means that Jesus Christ was active and present long before His incarnation, therefore eternally co-existent with the Father. (1) Jesus Christ is therefore God just as the Father and Holy Spirit are God, thus the Word of the Old Testament's creation account is Jesus Christ of the New Testament.  Jesus Christ is the Word.   His Word is Truth even as He Himself is Truth, the same today as yesterday and for always.  Thus Jesus Christ does not change and as He is the starting point for the reasoning of the faithful, then  Christians must reject the neutrality principle and doubt, its' ugly twin, the long unchallenged principles in evolutionary modernism's longstanding war against the Word of God---the Book of Genesis in particular---in all its parts... historical, prophetical, geographical, linguistic, and doctrinal. (2)

When Paul affirms in the Lord that his Gentile readers should no longer live as Gentile pagans do in the futility of their darkened minds (Ephesians 4: 17-24), he speaks to all pagans from antiquity to our own age (i.e., neo-pagan modernists) who reject the pure knowledge of the Holy Trinity and vainly think of themselves as "enlightened" when in reality they are "en-darkened."  Their ignorance is not a lack of education, and some of them are brilliant in their own way, but such brilliance is wasted on vain imaginings and wisdom of this world which will not get them to heaven, thus utterly foolish and futile, especially when combined with hardness of heart toward the truth of the gospel in Christ (Matt. 13:14-15; John 12:40; Acts 28: 26; Rom. 11:8)

"En-darkened" modernists claim scientific neutrality as a general operating assumption. Two applications of modernist thought evidence this:  evolution (anti-creation account/relentless change/relativism), an inverted exegesis that deconstructs and reduces man in the spiritual image of the Trinity to evolved ape, and deconstructionism (destructive criticism/critical theory). Along with evolution, deconstructionism is a form of relativism or nihilism that for more than eighty years has been spilling into and contaminating our moral and culture sustaining institutions from seminaries and Biblical scholarship to academia, law, media, arts, and politics, thence our minds, individually and collectively. (2)

The origin of the neutrality principle is the Garden of Eden. Its' father is the Evil One who tempted Eve to approach the question of eating from the forbidden tree in a neutral, unbiased fashion.  He slyly suggested  that she adopt a neutral position in order to decide who was right, God or the snake.   Like modernists of our own age Eve doubted and therefore rejected God's Word as authoritative and conclusive.  As a true neutralist she determined for herself which choice to take. (Gen. 3:4-6)

Todays' Christian Church and Western culture has for so long been saturated with evolutionary modernist claims of scientific neutrality paired with intellectual and moral autonomy that the ungodly neutrality principle which forbids the existence of immutable Truth and moral absolutes has been thoroughly ingrained in us. It is so constant and we are so accustomed to it that even within the church we fail to discern it.

Neutrality Principle, Deconstructionism & the Historical-Critical Method

For evolutionary modernists of both pagan and pantheist persuasion to choose to not believe the Word of God on an individual level is one thing.  But in the past few hundred years the world has been witnessing a strange yet consistent phenomenon:  institutionalized Biblical deconstructionism issuing in a concerted drive,

"on an institutional level to rubbish the Scriptures altogether.  It is nothing new of course.  It's just the scale of the enterprise which takes the breath away. And it's not just international. It's global."  (The Authenticity of the Book of Genesis, Bill Cooper, p. 7)

The first Biblical deconstructionists---the ancient "fathers" of today's Biblical deconstructionists---were various Gnostic pagans in the first centuries of the Christian era.

The methodology employed by the early Gnostic pagan Marcion for example, was to masquerade as a scholar concerned only for truth while really getting rid of everything he was offended by, especially the entire Old Testament which he deconstructed by reducing in its entirety to an unhistorical myth.   In a nutshell, this is the same method employed by modern Biblical deconstructionists.

Fourth-century Fathers such as John Chrysostom, Basil the Great and Ephraim the Syrian, all of whom wrote commentaries on Genesis, specifically warned against treating Genesis as an unhistorical myth or allegory. John Chrysostom strongly warned against paying heed to Gnostic heretics,

"...let us stop up our hearing against them, and let us believe the Divine Scripture, and following what is written in it, let us strive to preserve in our souls sound dogmas." (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 31)

As St. Cyril of Alexandria wrote, higher theological, spiritual meaning is founded upon humble, simple faith in the literal and historic elements of Genesis as Revealed by God and one cannot apprehend rightly the Scriptures without believing in the historical reality of the events and people they describe. (ibid, Seraphim Rose, p. 40)

Today it is commonplace for resuscitated Gnostic deconstructionism, otherwise known as the historical-critical method of Biblical scholarship, to be regarded as scientific, thus enlightened, neutral and objective.  Recent decades however, have witnessed a much needed rising awareness that the historical-critical method serves particular ends thus always arrives at certain conclusions.  In the meticulously researched work of intellectual history, "Politicizing the Bible," Scott Hahn and Benjamin Wiker greatly add to this awareness by bringing to  light the appropriation, deconstruction and paganization of scripture by politically motivated interpreters.

Shining a powerful light of truth on the techniques taken for granted at divinity schools worldwide, Hahn and Wiker trace the origins of the modern historical-critical method deep into the Middle Ages and the Renaissance "showing the deliberate Erastian project of subjecting the Bible and with it the Christian faith to the power of the State." (4)

Through painstaking research Hahn and Wiker clearly demonstrate that the historical-critical method is grounded in the philosophy of Averroes, the writings of Machiavelli and Marsilio of Padua among others, together with the political projects of Henry VIII, Thomas Hobbes, and John Locke, and the quest for an empire of science on the part of Descartes and Spinoza.

The authors argue that nothing can be rightly understood about the historical-critical method and the politicization of Scripture if close attention is not paid to the great cosmological shift that occurred in the seventeenth century.  What the shift yielded was both a secular (anti-supernatural and wholly naturalistic or pagan) understanding of the universe, philosophy and scientific method and a secular-pagan understanding of man and politics:

"The two occur as part of one revolution because the shift in the meaning of nature includes human nature as well." (p. 257)

With respect to the work of modern scriptural scholars, the great shift means that in order to comprehend the assumptions and methods of their own craft they have to understand the history of the philosophy and science grounded in the cosmological shift.

As a synopsis of the monumental philosophical and scientific shift and its' abominable effects on modern biblical scholarship and Christianity, Hahn and Wiker offer the following example from the highly influential nineteenth century scriptural scholar David Friedrich Strauss.  Strauss is almost invariably the first of the modern critiques studied in the typical survey course taken by students of Scripture in graduate school.   The key introductory chapter of Strauss's "Life of Jesus Christ Critically Examined" is entitled "Development of the Mythical Point of View."   In it Strauss declares,

"...matter-of-factly that an 'account is not historical,' and hence 'the matter related could not have taken place in the manner described,' wherein 'the narration is irreconcilable with the known and universal laws which govern the course of events.   Now according to these laws, agreeing with all just philosophical conceptions and all credible experience, the absolute cause never disturbs the chain of secondary causes by single arbitrary actions of interposition." (pp. 257-258)

In other words, miracles (i.e., creation ex nihilo, Christ's Resurrection) cannot happen.  For Strauss, the exegetical assumption that miracles are fictions is based on naturalistic philosophical-scientific assumptions.

Underlying Strauss's assumptions is an entirely naturalistic (secular-pagan), self-generating machine-like cosmos, a mathematical-mechanical view of the evolving universe, an idol of defiant, rebellious mans' mind in continual antagonism to the supernatural Judeo-Christian cosmology.

It was Descartes, Hobbes, and Spinoza who redefined nature so that it was ontologically mathematical and mechanical, thereby paving the way for the universe to be entirely law-governed, self-contained (closed to the supernatural), self-sustaining, mechanical and evolutionary.  This view necessitated that the active, living, creating, and redeeming Holy God of Old and New Testament be redefined as a deistic god that created matter, mechanical mechanisms and formative evolutionary processes that over time allows things to make themselves,  or a divine evolutionary force (pantheism) within nature, or be simply rejected by the more radical of the radical Enlightenment. (pp. 272-273 &544)

In the "new pagan" god-man centered cosmology, the gap between the Mind of God and the mind of man, and the supernatural and natural were closed.  Thereafter, the exalted mind of the god-man and the content of the mathematical-mechanical universe defined what method was appropriate to its illumination:

"If the universe is fundamentally mathematical and mechanical, then of course the method of illumination must be mathematical and mechanical. " (p. 545)

In the god- man centered universe, the redefined God's wisdom does not exceed man's wisdom.  This being so, Unitarianism, liberal Protestant theology, Roman Catholic Teilhardism, evolutionary theism, Hugh Ross's vastly popular progressive creationism, and all other forms of evolutionary Christianity as well as New Age pantheism are the products of the exalted wisdom of god-men who adopted a man-centered universe entirely in accord with their own capacities.

The approach to the Word of God followed suit, meaning that an evolutionary modernist understanding completely defines the 'new' approach to the interpretative deconstruction of the Bible:

"Since miracles had been excised from nature, they had to be removed from the text.  Since nature was entirely defined by mathematics, knowledge of mathematical-mechanical laws displaced prophecy, and so prophecy had to be removed from the text.  In fact, since there was, with pantheism, assumed to be an identity of the logos of nature with the Logos of God, scientists who studied the logos of nature provided the highest revelation possible, thereby demoting the revelation contained in the Bible as at best puerile.  All that was left, so it seemed, was the moral message of the text, and the focus on the Bible as merely moral reinforced its politicization." (p. 544)

All that is left is a desacralized book of moral messages for evolutionary modernist Christian intellectuals such as columnist Ross Douthat, leading Richard Dawkins to ridicule him for bracketing "Biblical fundamentalists" with atheists and accusing both of making the same mistake,

"...of thinking that the correct way to read the Bible is literally, as do Ken Ham or Al Mohler." (Ross Douthat doesn't understand atheism, Richard Dawkins, Oct. 5, 2011, whyevolutionistrue.com)

Douthat criticizes New Atheism said Dawkins, for thinking that we go after only the fundamentalist version of religion while "ignoring the sophisticated versions propounded by sophisticated theologians like John Haught and sophisticated intellectuals like himself" who see much of the Bible, particularly the Genesis account as metaphor.  Douthat makes this clear in a New York Times article:

"It was a peculiar spectacle, to put it mildly: An atheist [Coyne] attacking a traditionalist believer [Shea] for not reading Genesis literally. On the merits, Coyne is of course quite correct that some of the details of the Genesis story seem to contradict what science and archaeology suggest about human origins. (For instance, the claim that Adam and Eve were formed from the dust of the ground and a human rib, respectively, not from millennia upon millennia of evolution, the suggestion that they lived in a garden near the Tigris and the Euphrates, not a hunter-gatherer community in Africa, and  well, you get the idea.) But then again some of the details of the Genesis story seem to contradict one another as well, in ways that should inspire even a reader who knows nothing about the controversies surrounding evolution to suspect that what he's reading isn't intended as a literal and complete natural history of the human race." (Why Atheists Need Fundamentalists, Douthat, Oct. 4, 2011, New York Times)

Dawkins zeros in on the contradictions in Douthats' argument, pointing out that if Ken Ham, Dr. Albert Mohler, and other faithful believers, or 'fundamentalists' as Douthat labels them did not take the,

"...stories pretty literally, including the tales of Noah and the flood, the Genesis stories, the tale of Adam and Eve and their Original Sin, and, of course, the whole Jesus mythology (then) we'd have no creationism in America, and the story of Jesus would be a convenient fairy tale, like that of Santa Claus, rather than an object of universal veneration." (ibid)

Exposing Douthats' double-mindedness, Dawkins argues that while much of the Bible is dismissively relegated to the category of fanciful metaphor by Douthat,

"I'm sure that when he goes to Mass each week he recites the Nicene Creed, affirming his belief in these truths:

" Jesus is the son of God – God is the creator of heaven and earth – Jesus was the product of a virgin birth – The crucified Jesus was resurrected – Jesus will come again to judge us all – Our sins will be remitted through baptism – There's an afterlife for the good folks."

Dawkins then asks,

"Tell me, Mr. Douthat: are those allegories, too? When you mouth them in Church each week, are you saying what you really believe? If not, why do you call yourself a Catholic?" (ibid)

Douthats' embarrassing peccadillo exemplifies that of increasing numbers of modernist theologians, intellectuals and Christians throughout the whole body of the church who waver between serving the Lord and serving Baal:

"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word."  1 Kings 18:21

In 1 Thess. 2:13 the Apostle Paul summarizes and clarifies the issue at hand, which is whether the Revealed Word of God is received by the Christian Church as the word of "enlightened" men or "for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe."

“Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?....Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?  Tell me, if you understand."  Job 38: 2-4

Dear reader, who do you place your faith in?   Is it in pride-inflated foolish modernists who with their scissors have cut apart the Bible and with their words without knowledge and vain pretensions set themselves up against the knowledge of our Lord?  They are the blind leading the blind into hell.  Or is it in the Lord Whose Word is Truth, even as He Himself is Truth, our Lord and Savior Who,

"if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved?"  Romans 10:9

Ecclesiastes: Things Reckoned New & Scientific by Evolutionists & Sophisticated Theologians Are Not So

In a 2012 editorial, "The Genesis Problem," New Scientist editors admit that physicists have been fighting a rearguard action against the Big Bang theory for decades, largely because they believe it has theological overtones. After all, if you have an instant of creation, don't you need a creator?   Adding fuel to anti-Big Bang anxieties are sophisticated theologians eager to embrace and conform the Word of God to evolutionary science.

Now however, if a "new" yet very ancient theory turns out to be true, the universe may not have started with a bang after all and Big Bang sophisticates from Pope Francis to Tim Keller, Francis Collins, Leonard Sweet and many others will be faced with ruin and disgrace.

In the new formulation, the universe was never a singularity, or an infinitely small and infinitely dense point of matter. In fact, the universe may have no beginning at all:

"Our theory suggests that the age of the universe could be infinite," said study co-author Saurya Das, a theoretical physicist at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.  (Big Bang, Deflated? Universe May Have Had No Beginning, Yahoo US, March 2, 2015)

The idea that the evolving universe of matter and psychic energy (the Divine One Substance) has always existed is a common thread running through ancient Chaldea, Egypt, Greece, and Rome in the West to mystical pantheist philosophies in the East and Mormonism in America.

Joseph Smith taught that matter (the One Substance) is eternal and the Mormon God Elohim had no power to create out of nothing. Elohim merely reorganized the already present elements of the One Substance (aka Void, Brahman, Quantum Void), which have no beginning or end and cannot be destroyed:

"Since Mormons believe that the elements are eternal, it follows that they deny the ex nihilo creation." (Encyclopedia of Mormonism 1:400).

Like a dog returning to its own vomit, modern evolutionary physicists are returning to the ancient Godless cosmogony espoused by Mystery Religion Babylon, mystical Cabbalism, Gnosticism, the Essenes, Egyptians, and other occult traditions and sciences.

For example, with the Egyptians' self-created Sun-God Ra, the eternally existing divine abyss or One Substance out of which he evolved is Nu — or Joseph Smith's primordial matter:

"I came into being from primordial matter...I made all the forms under which I appeared by means of (or out of) the god-soul which I raised up out of Nu (i.e., the primeval abyss of water.) (The Long War Against God, Dr. Henry Morris, p. 243)

The godless cosmogony of Kabala teaches the gradual condensation or evolutionary progression of an eternally existing primal psychic substance (the One Substance) emanating into visible matter.  This is a fundamental,

"... doctrine of the Cabala (and) is the ancient Semitic conception of the ‘primal ocean,’ known to the Babylonians as ‘Apsu’ and called by the Gnostics βύθος =  (Anz, ‘Die Frage nach dem Ursprung des Gnostizismus,’ p. 98).

Like its’ Egyptian Hermetic counterpart, Kabala implies a process of emergent evolutionary transformation of one kind into another kind (macroevolution) from out of an eternally existing primal psychic substance:

“...the older Enoch book (gives) a fuller insight into the "Merkabah" and "Bereshit" lore of the ancients than the "Hekalot," which present but fragments, while the central figure of the Cabala, Meṭaṭron-Enoch, is seen in ch. lxx.-lxxi. in a process of transformation.” (Cabala, Jewish Encyclopedia)

The Kabalah is the key to the occult sciences; and the Gnostics were born of the Kabalists.” (Occult Mason Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma, p. 626)

According to Helena Blavatsky, one of the key architects of Luciferian New Age pantheism, Kabalah derived,

“.... from the older secret doctrines concerning divine things and cosmogony, which were combined into a theology after the time of the captivity of the Jews in Babylon. All the works that fall under the esoteric category are termed Kabalistic.” (Blavatsky, Theosophical Glossary, p. 168)

The Chaldean occult science and pagan Mystery Religion was embraced by apostate Jews during their captivity in Babylon and delivered to subsequent generations of Mystery Religion initiates by word of mouth. According to Blavatsky, these initiates of the Chaldean tradition in the centuries before Christ were known as Tanaim:

"The kabalist is a student of ‘secret science’, one who interprets the hidden meaning of the Scriptures with the help of the symbolical Kabala… The Tanaim were the first kabalists among the Jews; they appeared at Jerusalem about the beginning of the third century before the Christian era… This secret doctrine is identical with the Persian wisdom, or ‘magic’.” (Ibid. p.167)

The Essenes were also associated with the Kabala. The Jewish Encyclopedia describes the cabalistic practices of the Essenes, which were Judaized elements of Eastern mystical traditions:

So, too, were the Essenes familiar with the idea of the journey to heaven…and they were also masters of angelology. The practice of magic and incantation, the angelology and demonology, were borrowed from Babylonia, Persia, and Egypt; but these foreign elements were Judaized in the process, and took the form of the mystical adoration of the name of God and of speculations regarding the mysterious power of the Hebrew alphabet …, ‘the name of God creates and destroys worlds’, to become, finally, foundations of the philosophy of the ‘Sefer Yetzirah."  (Cabala, Jewish Encyclopedia)

According to Blavatsky the Essenes were pagan priests of the Greek goddess, Diana of Ephesus, where the Tanaim had established a college for instruction in the Chaldean mystery religion:

Essenes... had many Buddhistic ideas and practices; and it is noteworthy that the priests of the Great Mother at Ephesus, Diana-Bhavani with many breasts, were also denominated... It was at Ephesus where was the great College of the Essenes and all the lore the Tanaim had brought from the Chaldees... Essenes, believed in reincarnation.” (Theosophical Glossary, pp. 113-14; The Secret Doctrine, Vol. II, p. 111n)

Eventually Alexandria, Egypt became the epicenter of cosmological and pagan religious ideas as well as the intellectual meeting point between Greek Mystery Religion/Hermetic magic initiates and nature sages and guardians of Kabala.  After the fall of Jerusalem, Alexandria was the center from which occult pagan Jews would disguise their mystery tradition in Christian terminology and attempt to penetrate the fledgling Church with heresy.

One of the primary tactics employed by Cabbalist pagan Jews for this purpose is the same one employed by their modern evolutionary theist counterparts.   It involves the reduction of the Genesis account, particularly the first three books, to allegory and myth, a ploy that eliminates the physical Adam from which all people descended and the sin that he transferred to the rest of the human race. This strikes directly at the heart of the Gospel: the need for the ‘last Adam’ to provide for us an escape from the wrath of God against sin incurred by the first Adam.  In this way, not only is the work of Christ on the cross rendered superfluous, meaning the heart of the faith is ripped out, but God is made responsible for sin and evil. (1 Peter 3:18-22; 1 John 2:22)

Long ago, the teachings of some of the early Church Fathers regarding the apostasy toward the end of the church age predicted the reappearance of this evil tactic. The fathers categorized it a Gnostic pagan heresy.

In "Heresies 6.10" Hippolytus writes that the Gnostic pagan Simon Magus feigned faith and allegorized much of Scripture, especially Genesis, to support his evolutionary Hermetic and Gnostic occult pantheist teachings.   Church Fathers Ireneaus, Tertullian and Clement of Alexandria reveal that Gnostic cult leader Marcion rejected the Old Testament, taught that the God of the Old Testament and his prophets are evil, made God the author of sin and removed all references that Christ was Creator (John 1:1)   (Ireneaus, "Against Heresies 1.26, 5.1," Tertullian "Against Marcion 2.17," Clement of Alexandria, "Against Heresies 4.29)

Delusion

As it turns out, things reckoned new and scientific by deluded modern physicists and sophisticated theologians are not so; they were known and in use in ages past:

"That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, "See this, it is new "? Already it has existed for ages Which were before us. There is no remembrance of earlier things..."  Ecclesiastes 1: 9-11

Gnostic Chiliastic-Evolution: Lucifer's Plan of Salvation

For over eighty-five years, Europe and America have been incrementally conquered by the same madness-and-murder inducing demon of egotism, envy, hatred, paranoia, violence, and vengeance that earlier took over Russia, China, Germany, and Italy. This demon is embodied in American and Western Leftists, Progressive Liberals and globalist Luciferian, occult New Age and Technocratic Gnostic pagan and pantheist utopians whose impossible dream of a socialist or communist sinners paradise holds them spellbound.

At the outbreak of the modern era, the (gnostic) system of inverse biblical exegesis was once again activated.”  Ioan Couliano, “The Tree of Gnosis”

Global socialism and communism are socio-political forms of Gnostic pagan faith "determined to rule the world."  This faith is "the final synthesis of all heretical tendencies that have pervaded Western civilization for many centuries."  Communism is, "...the culminating hubris of Promethean man who reaches out for the world and means to remake creation.  It is scientism gone political." (Frank Meyers, The Conservative Intellectual Movement, pp. 251-252)

Utopian socialism is a secular, philosophically gnostic form of heretical Protestant (pantheist) liberalism's inverse evolutionary Biblical exegesis grounded in a chiliastic-evolutionary proclamation of a coming new order, or Golden Age.  Chiliasm in Greek means "thousand years" and is primarily a God-less version of the millennial belief expressed in some Christian denominations, and literature, that there will be a Golden Age or Paradise on Earth where "Christ will reign" prior to the final judgment and future eternal state, primarily derived from the book of Revelation 20:1-6. Gnostic chiliasm is grounded in belief in the inevitability of an inverse exegesis proclaiming evolutionary progress from molecule to sea-weed, reptile, ape, hominid, man and then finally transgender god-man and in the perfectibility of this fallen world.

The Gnostic system of inverse exegesis has persuaded people,

“...to think of everything in nature as the fruit of a gradual growth rather than an original creation.”  Such inverse thinking means it is now impossible for educated Westerners to conceive of Biblical revelation because “in an evolving world, perfection obviously lay, not in the past, but in the future.”  (Franklin Baumer, “The Making of the New Spirituality, James Herrick, p. 150)

Over the course of many years various humanist speculators have formulated chiliastic versions of evolutionism positing an inverted exegesis.  Their ranks include philosophers and lapsed Christian thinkers such as Henri Bergson, Jean Gebser, Alfred North Whitehead and Teilhard de Chardin.  Others are esotericists and occultists such as  Max Theon, Rudolph Steiner, C.W. Leadbeater, Luciferian theosophists Madame Blavatsky and Alice Baily together with Hindu teachers Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo and integral theorists Edward Haskell, Arthur Young and Ken Wilber. (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 34)

Darwin’s idea is taken by modern Western Gnostics as final proof that the universe is governed, not by the divine will of Jehovah Who created humans out of dust,

“…but by a virtually divine force Darwin called natural selection.  Having produced human consciousness, evolution may now…be brought directly under the control of its own product, Humanity, the accomplishment of natural selection…”  (ibid, James Herrick, p. 150)

This is why  Utopian Spirituality is promulgated in a "quasi-divine manner as the secular word of God" and will not tolerate dissent. (1) It is vehemently anti-Revealed Word of God, particularly the Genesis creation account ex nihilo which relates Adam and Eve's creation by God and their subsequent fall from a good creation.

Modern Gnostic Movements

In "Science, Politics and Gnosticism," highly-respected political philosopher Eric Voegelin (1901-85) identifies modern Gnostic movements.  They run the gamut from Comte's positivism, Progressivism, Hegelianism, Masonry, Marxist Communism and Nazi Socialism to Schleiermacher's doctrine of faith, modernism (Protestant liberalism), and Luciferian theosophy.

Whatever the movement, chiliastic-evolutionary systems are modern forms of ancient and very "elitist" pre-Christian and Christian-era Gnostic pagan and pantheism in which salvation is attained through the 'elitist' knowledge of Gnostic teachers (i.e., contemporary  spiritual guides, gurus, certain 'scientists') possessed of the enlightened knowledge of the Gnostic cosmogony, or evolutionary anti-creation account and worldview.

Benjamin Wiker observes that the modern Gnostic 'scientific' cosmogony is a secularized, mathematical formula,

"..entirely stripped of the supernatural (and grounded in a secular understanding) of nature, science and philosophy that laid down the presuppositions on which Scripture scholarship came to rest...Little (can be) understood about the rise of modern biblical criticism if close attention is not paid to the great cosmological shift that occurs in the seventeenth century...The two occur as part of one revolution because the shift in the meaning of nature includes human nature as well." ( Politicizing the Bible: The Roots of Historical Criticism and the Secularization of Scripture, 1300-1700, Wiker & Hahn, p. 257)

Despite differences, all  modern Gnostic movements unite with all of the world's occult nature religions under the umbrella of ecumenism.  This is due to the Gnostic belief that all nature systems share a single universal truth---that the divine energy (i.e., the Force, evolution, zoe, prana, chi) or impersonal consciousness (i.e., Solar Logos, Christ Consciousness, Brahman, Mind of the Universe) has manifested itself through many deities in different places and at different times.  Thus no one deity can express the totality of the divine energy or consciousness except Satan.

Helena Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy and New Age spirituality as well as ,leading Masonic thinker and important formulator of chiliastic evolution wrote in her book, "The Secret Doctrine, " volume II,

"....it is but natural...to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind.  For it is he who was the 'Harbinger of Light,' bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of the automaton created by Jehovah...and (was) the first to whisper: "in the day ye eat thereof ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil"---can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour..." (Theosophical University Press, 1888, p. 243, 513)

"And now it stands proven that Satan, or the Red Fiery Dragon, the "Lord of Phosphorus," and Lucifer, or "Light Bearer," is in us: It is our Mind---our tempter and redeemer, our intelligent liberator and Savior from pure animalism.  Without this principle...we would be surely no better than animals."

Satanically inspired Gnostic chiliastic movements have so far produced every bloody communist and socialist catastrophic genicide of the 20th century and underpin contemporary occult-pantheist New Age, Luciferian, and Technocratic globalist hopes and visions of today.

In his article, "Leftism a Radical Faith," Bruce Riggs notes that much of the political history of the extended twentieth century is that of massive extinctions of citizenries by their dictatorial governments:

"Take the engineered mass starvations, torture chambers, firing squads, and gulags of Lenin and Stalin; Nazi gas chambers; Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge killing fields; the genocides of Mao's "Great Leap Forward"; and the tyrannical North Korean Sung dynasty, and one will find that over one hundred million people have been slaughtered."  (American Thinker, Jan. 1, 2014)

The Black Book's authors point to the Darwinian "biological and zoological strain of thinking" as the engine of evil that proved itself to be a most effective means of denying the humanity of Communisms millions of victims.

"This strain of thinking," explained Stephane Courtois, "is why so many of the crimes of Communism were crimes against humanity, and how Marxist-Leninist ideology managed to justify these crimes to its followers." (The Black Book of Communism; p. 751)

Mass-murderer Vladimir Lenin concurs:

"Darwin put an end to the belief that the animal and vegetable species bear no relation to one another (and) that they were created by God, and hence immutable." (Vladimir Lenin, Fatal Fruit, Tom DeRosa, p. 9)

These evil Gnostic-pagan god-State governments systematically dehumanized and murdered millions of men, women, and children in order to create an imagined earthly paradise purified of evil, said Riggs, and this is clearly irrational.  In this sense, leftist ideology is an atheist religion with the look of a religious inquisition.

Klaus Fischer puts it this way:   "Totalitarianism represents the twentieth-century version of traditional religiosity; it is in many ways the secular equivalent of the religious life.  Unless this crucial point is captured, the quintessential nature of totalitarianism will elude us." (ibid)

This "totalitarian religiosity" is grounded in a dehumanizing evolutionary cosmogony that reduces mankind to aspects of the evolving universe on a par with slugs, weeds, and apes.  This evil religion continues today as a "scientific" secular, politico-centric faith,

"....disdainful of theistic beliefs and contemptuous of those who subscribe to them.  It is a faith that, in its historical manifestations, has birthed the murderous tyrannies of the extended twentieth-century----tyrannies that have marched under left-wing banners of Marxism, Communism, and National Socialism, or, more generally and descriptively, Coercive Collectivism." (ibid, Riggs)

The Coming of Lucifer's New Age Collectivism

Lee Penn calls our attention to the United Religions Initiative that with the Gaia initiative represents the religious facet of the coming New World Order.  The URI is a UN organization that to a significant extent is animated by New Age Luciferian-spirituality. Penn notes that evolution is absolutely central to New Age theology which is a syncretistic stew of ancient Mystery Religions, ancient Egyptian Hermetic magic, the Gnostic Gospels, Liberal and/or Progressive Christianity, Theosophy, Spiritism, Eastern mysticism, African animism, Wicca, Goddess worship, and adulation of Lucifer.

The URI has attracted a disparate group of activists and powerful supporters. For example, the Dalai Lama, progressive churchmen from the People's Republic of China, pro-gay Episcopalians, radical Muslims, feminist witches, rich capitalist foundations, the Club of Rome, the Temple of Understanding and the Lucis Trust, formerly called Lucifer Publishing. Prominent supporters of the URI and globalism include occultist Robert Muller (former UN assistant secretary general and author of Common Core), Neale Donald Walsh, George Soros, Mikhail Gorbachev, Maurice Strong, Ted Turner, and Barbara Marx Hubbard. (pp.5,7, 23-26)

New Age spirituality relies heavily on the spirit revelations channeled through Helena Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Muller, Marx Hubbard, and Neale Donald Walsh. Penn notes that all together they form a comprehensive anti-Gospel setting forth a progressive vision of spiritualized totalitarianism that includes:

1. Praise for Lucifer as the light-bearer and giver of wisdom.

2. Proclaiming that we humans are gods and that death is not real

3. Advocacy for extreme population control, including eugenics and euthanasia

4. Utter contempt for traditional religions — with concentrated scorn directed at Judaism, evangelical Protestantism, and Roman Catholicism

5. Forecasting a pending (and for them, desirable) "selection" of mankind, in which the progressives enter the New Age and the reactionaries face extinction. For the New Age Apostles of "progressive" Social Darwinism, these casualties are a necessary price to pay for human evolution."
(ibid, p. 7)

Speaking through Hubbard, her spirit guide "Christ" prophesied in 1995 that the Rider of the Pale Horse will use the "sword" as one of his means to "kill those who choose to remain self-centered." (ibid, p. 322)

The meaning of "self-centered" is briefly defined in a document mandated by the U.N.-sponsored Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Biodiversity Assessment.  This document explicitly refers to Christianity as a faith that, rather than making God and humans one with nature, has instead set God and humans "apart from nature," a process in which nature has "lost its sacred qualities."  The document states:

"Conversion to Christianity has...meant an abandonment of an affinity with the natural world..."  (Al Gore, The United Nations and the Cult of Gaia, Cliff Kincaid, americasurvival.org., 1999)

In other words, because Christianity holds that there is an unbridgeable gulf between God and man and nature that is only breached by Jesus Christ then man does not share the substance of God as pantheism holds, thus the substance of God is not within man but apart from man. According to Christianity man is radically different from God and atonement or mediation is achieved only through Christ, who rose from the dead.

By contrast, Luciferian philosophy and the philosophy of Gaia hold that the evolving universe of matter and psychic energy is a god of divine forces, and that by way of occult rituals such as transcendental meditation or even by worshipping nature, humans can attain oneness with god.  Some followers of Gaia believe that humans, after death, are reincarnated into non-human forms. In any case, Gaia must be protected from humans. Cliff Kincaid comments:

"U.S. taxpayers are being forced to subsidize a new form of state religion which holds that natural resources have to be protected for the sake of Gaia, a so-called Earth spirit.  This religious movement, which has cult-like qualities, is being promoted by leading figures and organizations such as Vice President Albert Gore, broadcaster Ted Turner, and the United Nations....Those promoting the Gaia concept have no qualms about using the full force of government, even the international resources of the United Nations, to impose their beliefs on the rest of us.  If they are successful in their drive for "sustainable development" to protect Gaia, they could stifle economic growth and promote a drastic decline in the American standard of living."   (ibid)

All modern Gnostic pagan movements share the same chiliastic goal:  a coming "new order" purified of all evil, that is, all faithful Christians and Jews and other dissenters who refuse to become one-with the mystical collective.   Purification extends as well to the Ten Commandments, Yahweh ordained institutions (i.e. marriage), and all previous moral standards, sexual ethics and traditions---seen as relative to a particular stage in the ongoing process of evolution.  These will be forever changed just as all distinctions between life forms and gender will be blurred in the idea of evolution from molecule to man and woman to androgynous he-she ('gay") and god-man.  In the same way, all distinctions between nations and religions will be blurred in the chiliastic vision of this-worldly perfection.

Together with chiliasm, evolution is a,

"...deep-seated primordial force, which seems to capture people quite apart from their conscious attitudes and reasoning (because) it's been drilled into everyone from the cradle, and therefore is very hard to bring out and look at rationally." (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Seraphim Rose, p. 35)

Evolution is the anti-creation gospel of an the serpent, thus is the antithesis of the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo. So powerful is its' hold on millions of modern Western minds that it has successfully inverted the order of creation and reversed the direction of Biblical theism. With creation ex nihilo virtually replaced by evolution, it is now believed that men have not fallen from perfection but instead are gradually evolving upward from their ape beginnings toward greater and greater spiritual perfection.

For all Westerners who are perhaps uncomfortable with, offended by, or are outright hostile toward the personal Holy Triune God and His plan of salvation the devil's gospel provides them a chiliastic plan of salvation and a substitute deity---evolution---the animated  force of nature which men believe they can control and direct.  Through scientifically controlled and directed evolution, they imagine they are destined to realize unimaginable spiritual advances.

Evolutionism: The Worldview of Evil Spirits

According to Anthony Breznican,

"Star Wars VII has a title: The Force Awakens."   (Entertainment Weekly, insidemovies.ew.com, Nov 6, 2014)

The Force is the ancient universal life force worshipped by ancient and modern mystical pantheists and pagans under a variety of names such as Serpent Power, Zoe, Vril, chi, prana, Lucifer, and Evolution.   It was the evolutionary scientist and Hindu-pantheist heretic Teilhard de Chardin who said that after millions of years of evolutionary progress, evolution was becoming aware of itself, hence "The Force Awakens."

After more than eighty years of nearly unopposed evolutionary evangelization in the schools, media, seminaries, academia and elsewhere Gnostic progressives are finally at liberty to declare that evolution is a living "mind,"

"....enlarging its domain up the chain of species." The god evolution is the "universe...a mind that oversees, orchestrates, and gives order and structure to all things." (Algeny, Jeremy Rifkin, 1983, p. 188)

Now that magic science and evolution reign supreme, occult progressive "god-men"  no longer feel like guests,

"..... in someone else's home and therefore obliged to make our behavior conform with a set of pre-existing cosmic rules. It is our creation now. We make the rules. We establish the parameters of reality. We create the world, and because we do, we no longer feel beholden to outside forces. We no longer have to justify our behavior, for we are now the architects of the universe. We are responsible to nothing outside ourselves for we are the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever." (ibid)

According to Robert Muller, the father of World Core Curriculum, now that evolution is "mind" highly evolved men are free to spiritually evolve into higher and higher forms, to become one with the 'divine:'

"Once again, but this time on a universal scale, humankind is seeking no less than its reunion with the 'divine,' its transcendence into ever higher forms of life. Hindus call our earth Brahma, or God, for they rightly see no difference between our earth and the divine. This ancient simple truth is slowly dawning again upon humanity. Its full flowering will be the real, great new story of humanity as we are about to enter our cosmic age..." (New Genesis: Shaping a Global Spirituality, Robert Muller, father of Core Curriculum, 1984, p. 84)

".....the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one." 1 John 5:19 "Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness." Luke 11:35

From the post-flood world of ancient Babylon to our own, the majority of the world's people have lived under the tyranny of powers, principalities and various determinisms – karma, reincarnation, evolution, fates, furies, chance, cause, doom, natural selection, and genes. They believed that all events in the real world were predestined and controlled by unseen forces of the cosmos that the apostle Paul described as the elemental spirits of the universe.

When Jesus Christ God incarnate demonstrated His absolute control over the elements (Luke 8:24) the tyranny of determinism was cast down and utterly broken. In the fourth century Gregory of Nazianzen suggested that at the very moment when the Magi came to worship the child of Mary and Joseph, it was then that the tyranny of determinism was broken:

"From that moment onward, the cosmos has orbited around the newborn king...Christ is the logos – the word and the reason by whom all exists and to whom all is ordered." (American Babylon, Neuhaus, p. 226)

Determinism crept into the West when evil spirits entered into the heart of Christendom during the Renaissance. They came quietly, first to certain theologians who rejected Jesus Christ in favor of Hermetic magic, Babylonian Kabala, Eastern mysticism, reincarnation, evolution, karma and other occult traditions and determinisms, and then openly with the brazen claim that laws of matter and evolution ultimately govern the world and man.

With penetrating insight, Father Richard John Neuhaus connects modern evolutionary scientism to its' ancient spiritual foundations in astrology. In his book, "American Babylon," Neuhaus argues that astrological elemental spirits have been recast as,

"...evolutionary dynamics, life forces, or laws of nature." Though described as laws rather than spirits, these elemental "forces".... work their inexorable ways in cold indifference to reason, to will, to love, and to hope. In short, it is suggested that the elemental spirits are in charge and that human freedom is a delusion."(p. 226)

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2:8

According to Pastor Larry DeBruyn, the word "rudiments" (Greek, stoicheion) relates to the universe of matter and energy and is variously,

".... translated "elemental powers" (NAB), "elementary principles" (NASB), "basic principles" (NIV, NKJV), "evil powers" (NLT), and "elemental spirits" (ESV, NRSV). Translations indicate that stoicheion's meaning diverges between "principles" and "powers," between the "physical elements" constitutive of the cosmos or universe, or the "spiritual powers" that inhabit it. In 2 Peter 3:10, the first sense – that is, the "elements" which "shall melt with fervent heat" – is evident, while in Galatians 4:3 and 9, the other sense – that is, "world forces" which once "held in bondage" the Galatian believers – is evident." (The Supreme Supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ, guardinghisflock.com)

The Worldview of Evil Spirits

The Bible emphatically affirms the reality of the occult world:

"The description of the universe as abnormal applies not only to the seen world that has fallen.  It applies also to an unseen world in which there is a devil and evil spirits who in their own rebellion against God have an active influence in the world and affairs of people."  (The Dust of Death: The Sixties Counterculture and How It Changed America Forever,  Os Guinness, p. 307)

In affirmation, the Apostle Paul wrote,

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm."  Ephesians 6:12

During the 1970s Satanism and possession became front page news in America. It was during this time that the eminent theologian Malachi Martin, a former Jesuit professor at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome published his shattering book on demon oppression and possession.

Martin's "Hostage to the Devil: the Possession and Exorcism of Five Contemporary Americans," presents five cases of actual possession that express important aspects of the worldview of evil spirits which allow us to not only identify these elements but discern their devastating effects within the whole body of the Christian church, the minds of theologians, millions of Americans and by extension, our nation.

The worldview of evil powers always takes the form of nature worship, or celebration of created things such as matter and energy as opposed to worship of the living, personal Creator Who created everything. Thus in support of the idea that living beings created themselves it is virulently anti-supernatural and Genesis account creation ex nihilo in favor of one dimensional naturalism and evolutionary cosmologies.

In one case, an evil spirit's evolutionary cosmology bespeaking the self-created "universe of matter" and human life was disclosed wherein,

"...men, women, animals, plants, cities, oceans (are) interconnected. There is really no difference between one thing and anything else....land, ocean, animals, humans, plants are one living organism clad in the shell of breathable atmosphere. Psychic forces bind it all together....It is a self-creating, self-protecting, self-developing thing.....Earth as mother, as womb, as god, as tomb, as a whole unity protected by its own shell and its own strength (is) all there is." (p. 395)

From the Big Bang (exploding cosmic egg) which supposedly created matter and energy in the demon's description of the universe as "self-creating" to inflationary in the description of the universe as a "self-developing thing" to Gaia as "Earth as self-protecting mother" the possessing demon's evolutionary cosmology is very similar to occult New Age spirituality.

Moreover, variations on the evil spirit's cosmology are affirmed and promoted by many science-obsessed Christians such as progressive creationist Hugh Ross, Pope Francis and pastor Tim Keller:

"The foundational documents of The Gospel Coalition clearly articulate a commitment to the historic, orthodox understanding of biblical inerrancy. Nevertheless, one of the cofounders of TGC, Tim Keller, has positioned himself to defend at least some versions of theistic evolution and progressive creationism (the distinction is not always clear). In a white paper published through BioLogos, Keller claims that the first chapter of Genesis is “exalted prose narrative,” and that, because of its literary genre, need not be interpreted literally....Keller is determined to torture the Genesis narratives on the rack of evolution. Not a word of his theory comes from the text; not a word of it is plausible without a prior and inflexible commitment to evolution."  (Matt Recker and The Gospel Coalition, Part 5: Inerrancy and Creationism, Kevin T. Bauder, Religious Affections Ministries,  October 24th, 2014)

Tim Keller is one of the founders of The Gospel Coalition, and if nothing else, said Bauder, the Coalition needs to be committed to a robust defense of the gospel against every error that would undermine its foundations:

" If The Gospel Coalition were fully committed to this task, it would have no room for Keller’s old-earth, progressive-creationist, theistic evolution."

In his book, Malachi Martin highlights an important case involving David, a Catholic priest who became obsessed with the evolutionary scientism of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Teilhard's destructive influence is widespread today within transnational Trans-humanist circles, the U.N., the Catholic Church, and increasingly within the Protestant Church.

In "Teilhard de Chardin: Trojan Horse of Vatican II/Heretic Extraordinaire," Dr. J. P. Hubert wonders whether based on Teilhard's admission of a mystical encounter if his evolutionary science was satanically inspired. Teilhard describes his strange encounter:

"The man was walking in the desert...when the Thing swooped down on him. Then, suddenly, a breath of scorching air passed across his forehead, broke through the barrier of his closed eyelids; an irresistible rapture took possession of him....mightily refashioning the enfeebled fibres of his being. And at the same time the anguish of some superhuman peril oppressed him, a confused feeling that the force which had swept down upon him was equivocal, turbid, the combined essence of all evil and goodness. You called me: here I am grown weary of abstractions, of attenuations, of the wordiness of social life, you wanted to pit yourself against Reality entire and untamed. I was waiting for you in order to be made holy. And now I am established on you for life, or for death....He who has once seen me can never forget me: he must either damn himself with me or save me with himself. O you who are divine and mighty, what is your name? Speak."

Hubert concludes that Teilhardism is,

"...no doubt of Satanic origin – a true "religion of man," if ever there was one."

America's Unfolding Spiritual Catastrophe

For over eighty-five years, America has been incrementally conquered by the same insanity-inducing demon of madness, hatred and violence that earlier took over Russia, China, Germany, and Italy.

This demon is mainly embodied within Enlightenment ideologies such as rationalism, progressivism, Darwinism, evolutionism, and socialism.  America's "scientifically endarkened" progressive Ruling Class is deeply oppressed and possessed by these evil isms.  Having rejected the biblical Triune God and the religious heritage of our civilization, they embrace instead evil ideologies of which Communism and Socialism are logical expressions. A new world order is what they seek, but in order that it can emerge, the still remaining remnants of America's Christian-based culture must be completely destroyed.

What this means is that the spiritual catastrophe that unfolded in the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany is unfolding on America's stage.

Can this catastrophe be averted?

Repentance: The Only Way

Returning to David, prior to his obsession with Teilhardism he was destined to become a professor of anthropology at a Catholic university. But under the influence of Teilhardism, he came to see that the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo, Adam and Eve as the first man and woman and parents of all mankind who fell and passed on Original Sin to all human beings were utterly contrary to modern scientific thinking and evolution.

Therefore David taught anthropology from a modern "evolutionary science" perspective, even going so far as to exclude traditional presentations of doctrines about creation ex nihilo and Original Sin. But after introducing Teilhardism to his students, doubts arose when he observed the breathtaking transformative effects of this teaching upon Jonathan, one of his students, a priest who now insisted that all the sacraments are "...no more than expressions of man's natural unity with the world around him."

David's eyes were suddenly opened and he saw clearly for the first time that Teilhardism exalted man as an animal and pictured,

"God as no more than the very bowels of earth and sky and the spatial distances of the universe with all its expanding galaxies." (Martin, p. 107)

Meanwhile, Jonathan left the church and quickly founded his own cult among wealthy Manhattan families. He preached that the universe and all people were evolving as 'one' in a naturally occurring mystical union which he called "Abba Father." (p. 127)

Martin writes that Jonathan had come under the dominion of an evil spirit and David was called in to exorcise him. However, the demon possessing Jonathan ridiculed David, saying they both believed the same things, therefore if Jonathan needed exorcism David needed it more.

Reeling in shock, David was led to an agony of soul-searching over the course of many weeks during which he re-examined and finally repented of the intellectual arrogance that led him to embrace Teilhardism and the "higher criticism" of Scriptures that reduced the Revealed Word to myth, allegory and delusion and the death of Jesus to an insignificant event of the evolutionary past rather than,

"...an ever present source of personal forgiveness and unshakable hope for any future." (p. 149)

According to Martin, the evil spirit who had nearly succeeded in killing David's faith now taunted him that to return to faith would entail slavery of mind and will. But when a repentant David deliberately rejected the demon's taunts,

"...a great and breathtaking dimension full of relief....flooded his mind and will and imagination....And when he now looked at the world of nature around him...and heard the song of a mockingbird nearby, he received it no longer as he had while a Teilhardian evolutionist, as 'intimations of molecules endlessly regrouping,' but rather 'of endless life for each person, and of love without a shadow." (pp. 163, 165)

Speaking through Nietzsche, the evil spirit calling itself Zarathustra had declared the death of the Christian God on behalf of all willful unbelievers, but now for David, "He's alive and I'm forgiven!" His faith in God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and Scripture restored, David was ready to exorcise the evil spirit who possessed Jonathan. He did so,

"...in the name of God who created him (Jonathan) and you (evil spirit), and of Jesus of Nazareth who saved him! You will depart and get back to the uncleanness and agony you chose." (p. 169)

(James 3:15) Evolutionism: the Hell-Born Foolishness of Man

In "Wisdom and Foolishness," Dr. Harry Reeder, senior minister of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Ala. writes that God's Word reveals two types of wisdom.  The first is worldly wisdom which is "earthly, unspiritual, demonic."  This hell-derived wisdom leaves in its wake chaos, brokenness, factions, death, and destruction.  The second is wisdom from above, granted by God to those who ask for it:

"It is found in His word, and it is accessed by hearing that Word faithfully preached and then embedding it into our lives through obedience."  (Biblical Dichotomies, Tabletalk, p. 19)

On the other hand, worldly wisdom is not of the Triune God but of man:

" (it is) actually 'the foolishness of man' masquerading as wisdom and propagated by man-made religions and a myriad of 'isms'---humanism, progressivism, materialism, consumerism, secularism, etc."

Of all of the foolishness of man masquerading as wisdom today, there is no more destructive and demonic than evolutionism.  Evolutionism is metaphysical sophistry (evolutionary scientism) pretending to be factual science, and there is nothing factual about it as even Karl Popper (1902-1994), a British philosopher and a professor at the London School of Economics admitted. Because he is regarded as one of the greatest philosophers of science of the 20th century, what Popper had to say about evolutionism, and Darwinism in particular, is of utmost importance to the increasingly ugly war being waged by evolutionists and their theological counterparts against faithful creationists.

Though Popper was an evolutionist, he nevertheless honestly stated that Darwinism is not a testable scientific theory but rather a metaphysical research program. By this he means that not only is Darwinism metaphysical (spiritual), but so are its' two most important foundations, classical empiricism and the observationalist philosophy of science that grew out of it.

Empiricism is a theory of knowledge that contradicts and refutes itself by asserting that human knowledge comes only or primarily via sensory experience rather than the mind ( spirit or thought life, conscience, will) while observationalism asserts that human knowledge and theories must be based on empirical observations....instead of the mind. For this reason, Popper argued strongly against empiricism and observationalism, saying that scientific theories and human knowledge generally, is conjectural or hypothetical and is generated by the creative imagination.

Where they speak frankly, evolutionists not only admit their fear and hatred of the Triune God of Revelation who spoke all things into existence ex nihilo but confess that their so-called 'scientific theories,' the products of their imaginations, are foolishness:

"...one belief that all true original Darwinians held in common, and that was their rejection of creationism, their rejection of special creation. This was the flag around which they assembled and under which they marched.... The conviction that the diversity of the natural world was the result of natural processes and not the work of God was the idea that brought all the so-called Darwinians together in spite of their disagreements on other of Darwin's theories. (One Long Argument,1991, p. 99, Ernst Mayr, 1904–2005, Professor of Zoology at Harvard University)

"We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door." ("Billions and Billions of Demons," Richard Lewontin (b. 1929), PhD Zoology, Alexander Agassiz Research Professor at Harvard University)

Recognized as one of the 50 most influential scientists in the world, Dr. James Tour, a professing Christian and prominent chemist does not believe in the 6-day Creation account, the narrative history of the book of Genesis. He embraces long ages (old earth) and accepts the dating methods  because he cannot understand how God could have meant 6 ordinary days if He did not create the sun until Day 4, because there would be no sun to measure off the first 3 days.  Thus  he has rejected the authority of Scripture, which Jesus Himself believed and quoted from. Like so many other evolutionary theologians and progressive creationists Tour has allowed the opinions of fallen men to re-interpret Scripture for him.
Moreover, Tour confirms that most scientists do not understand how evolution could explain the existence of life nor its complexity:

Let me tell you what goes on in the back rooms of science—with National Academy members, with Nobel Prize winners...I have sat with them, and when I get them alone, not in public—because it’s a scary thing, if you say what I just said—I say, ‘Do you understand all of this, where all of this came from, and how this happens?’ ”  (The revolt against Darwinism, John G. Hartnett, 11 December 2014 , creation.com)

The answer he inevitably receives is: “No.”

Every time that I have sat with people who are synthetic chemists, who understand this, they go, ‘Uh-uh. Nope.’ ”

 Tour adds:

“And if they’re afraid to say ‘yes’, they say nothing. They just stare at me, because they can’t sincerely do it.”

If evolution cannot account for life’s existence, then how did life originate?  Though Tour's unbelief has him siding with hard-core evolutionists he  nevertheless believes that the most reasonable answer is simple

I believe fundamentally that God created us all..."

Evolutionism is a fraud.  It is metaphysical sophistry, and this is why Mark Armitage, a scientist at California State University—Northridge (CSUN) was fired after he discovered soft tissue on a Triceratops fossil, an obvious refutation of the tens of millions of years story necessary to the evolution myth.

Armitage worked as a researcher and supervised the school’s electron microscope laboratory. He was also a member of several scientific organizations, including the Microscopy Society of America, the American Society of Parasitologists, and the Southern California Academy of Sciences, but God-hating evolutionists forced him out, declaring  “We will not tolerate your religion in this department!” (‘We Will Not Tolerate Your Religion!’ School Fires Scientist for Questioning Evolution, Garrett Haley, Christian News Network, July 24, 2014)

Again, evolution is a fraud, as Colin Patterson attests.  Patterson writes that after studying evolutionary theory for many years, he finally "woke up and realized that all my life I had been duped into taking evolutionism as revealed truth in some way." Patterson goes on to say:

"One of the reasons I started taking this anti-evolutionary view, or let's call it a non- evolutionary view, was last year I had a sudden realization for over twenty years I had thought I was working on evolution in some way. One morning I woke up and something had happened in the night and it struck me that I had been working on this stuff for twenty years and there was not one thing I knew about it. That's quite a shock to learn that one can be so misled so long. Either there was something wrong with me or there was something wrong with evolutionary theory. Naturally, I know there is nothing wrong with me, so for the last few weeks I've tried putting a simple question to various people and groups of people....Question is: Can you tell me anything you know about evolution, any one thing, that is true? I tried that question on the geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History and the only answer I got was silence. I tried it on the members of the Evolutionary Morphology Seminar in the University of Chicago, a very prestigious body of evolutionists, and all I got there was silence for a long time and eventually one person said, 'I do know one thing — it ought not to be taught in high school.'"   ("Evolutionism and Creationism" November 5, 1981, p. 2, Colin Patterson (1933–1998), Senior Paleontologist at British Museum of Natural History)

Millions of people, including great numbers of professing Christians, Protestant theologians and even Pope Benedict and Pope Francis have been deceived by the foolishness of man masquerading as science.  On July 24, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI delivered a homily in northern Italy's Cathedral of Aosta before Vespers. Toward the end of his homily he praised the French Jesuit heretic Pierre Teilhard de Chardin as a model for priests, attributing to him the idea of a cosmic liturgy, which he said was something they should aim to achieve:

"So our address to God becomes an address to ourselves: God invites us to join with him, to leave behind the ocean of evil, hatred, violence and selfishness and to make ourselves known, to enter into the river of his love...."Let Your Church offer herself to You as a living and holy sacrifice. This request, addressed to God, is made also to ourselves. It is a reference to two passages from the Letter to the Romans. We ourselves, with our whole being, must be adoration and sacrifice and, by transforming our world, give it back to God." (Benedict XVI Praises Cosmic Liturgy of Teilhard de Chardin; traditioninaction.org)

Evolution: the Universal Energy

It's at a shallow level that evolutionism is passed off as factual science to those who receive it without question.  It's at a deeper level however, that evolutionism's occult power is found and wielded by magicians like Teilhard de Chardin.  Though Teilhard (1881-1955) passed himself off as an evolutionary scientist he was actually a New Age Hindu-style pantheist and occult Hermetic and alchemical magician who on behalf of his Great Work, sought fusion of opposites, for example, of Jesus Christ with both Shiva (The Destroyer) and Lapis Philosophorum (enlightenment, elixir of life), and himself with Omega point (Quantum Void, Brahman), the energy field worshipped as the substance of God.

Western esotericism, or occultism, is the search for and study of an unseen reality. It is arcane knowledge of the hidden and its' powers. This arcane knowledge is meant only for certain people such as Teilhard de Chardin and fellow practitioners of the magic way.

Occult sciences include, but are not limited to, Hermetic magic, alchemy, astrology, divination, and spiritualism (contact with spirits). Interpretation of occultism and its concepts can be found in nature philosophies, esoteric evolutionary biology and occult pagan systems such as Gnosticism, Cabbala, Theosophy, Wicca, Satanism, Thelema and neo-paganism.

A general definition is offered by Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke:

"Occultism has its basis in a religious way of thinking, the roots of which stretch back into antiquity and which may be described as the Western esoteric tradition. Its principal ingredients have been identified as Gnosticism, the Hermetic treatises on alchemy and magic, Neo-Platonism, and the Kabbalah, all originating in the eastern Mediterranean area during the first few centuries AD." (The Occult Roots of Nazism, Good-Rick-Clarke, p. 17)

Under cover of 'modern science,' evolutionary biology is actually arcane gnosis arising from a religious outlook based in a philosophy of naturalism and programmatic alchemy. When asked why the layman should be interested, "...in so esoteric a subject as evolutionary biology," one of the leading evolutionists of our day, Professor S.J. Gould, candidly responded:

"Because it tells us where we came from, how we got here, and perhaps where we are going. Quite simply, it is science's version of Roots, except it is the story of us all." (The Religious Nature of Evolution Theory and its Attack on Christianity, John G. Leslie and Charles K. Pallaghy, Ph.D, creation.com)

Evolutionary biology's genesis account is an inverted exegesis, an ancient alchemical vision holding that billions of years ago lifeless chemicals were magically birthed when a fiery Cosmic Egg (Big Bang) inexplicably exploded. Then inert chemicals or star stuff magically combined and transcended themselves after a hundred or a thousand identical operations thereby allowing the miraculous transmutation of dead stuff into life. Once life miraculously arose from the dead, natural processes (evolutionary dynamics) were set in motion that after passage of vast ages supposedly eventuated in the arrival of man:

"If man has arrived at his present state as a result of natural processes rather than a supernatural will, he can learn to control these processes...The concept of evolution, which is now basic to the life sciences, has provided new and in some ways revolutionary answers to questions men have been asking for centuries. The two most important of these are, 'Why am I here, what is the purpose of human existence, and what is the nature of the world of life that surrounds us?" (Dobzhansky, T., Ayala, F.J., Stebbins, G.L. and Valentine, J.W., Evolution, W.H. Freeman and Co., San Francisco, 1977)

Teilhard's goal was not mere control of hidden evolutionary powers but the ancient quest of alchemy to perfect the material world or cosmos thereby transmuting (deifying) himself by way of his own fusion with the Divine Energy variously known throughout the ancient and modern world as Serpent Power, Zoe, the Force, Vril, and Kundalini, for example.  According to occult lore, the Divine Energy evolves or emanates from the Watery Abyss, Void, Divine Mens, Omega, Brahman or Quantum Void – the energy field,

"...from which all material energies emanate." (The Meaning of the Magicians, Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier, p. 118)

Pauwels and Bergier's book heralded a new dawning of an age of alchemy. Like Carl Jung and Teilhard they understood the religious impulse of alchemy:

"For the alchemist, it must never be forgotten that power over matter and energy is only a secondary reality. The real aim of the alchemist's activities, which are perhaps the remains of a very old science belonging to a civilization long extinct, is the transformation of the alchemist himself, his accession to a higher state of consciousness...Everything is oriented towards the transmutation of man...his deification, his fusion with the divine energy... (and) as Teilhard put it: 'The real aim of physics should be to integrate Man as a totality in a coherent representation of the world." (ibid)

Alchemy is above all the ancient royal occult science of the secret initiates of Babylon, the gnostic magicians who sought esoteric knowledge in their quest to perform the great work. Mircea Eliade explains:

"The aim of the opus magnum (great work) was at once the freeing of the human soul and the healing of the cosmos....In the eyes of the alchemists, observes Jung, Christianity saved man but not nature. It is the alchemist's dream to heal the world in its totality; the Philosopher's Stone is conceived as the Filius Macrcosmoi who heals the world...The ultimate goal of the opus is Cosmic Salvation; for this reason, the Lapis Philosophorum is identified with Christ." (The Forge and the Crucible: The Origin and Structure of Alchemy, 1956, p. 225)

Teilhard began his great work by conjuring a New Religion:

"As you already know, what dominates my interest and my preoccupations is the effort to establish in myself and to spread around a new religion (you may call it a better Christianity) in which the personal God ceases to be the great Neolithic proprietor of former times, in order to become the soul of the world; our religious and cultural stage calls for this." (Lettres a Leontine Zanta, quoted by von Hildebrand in Trojan Horse in the City of God, 1967, p. 239)

He consciously abandoned the 'old' unscientific, anti-evolutionary form of Christian theism which held that Jesus Christ

"...is the beginning of the creation of God" (Apoc. 3:14), "the firstborn of every creature: For in Him were all things created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible...He is before all, and by Him all things consist...that in all things He may hold the primacy." (Col. 1:15-18)

He had nothing but contempt for Scripture's six day creation account, the fall of Adam and Eve, Jesus Christ and His work on the cross, His bodily resurrection and ascension, and hope of eternal life in Paradise:

"...all those goody-goody romances about the saints and the martyrs! Whatever normal child would want to spend eternity in such boring company?" (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 584)

We need a 'new definition of holiness,' said Teilhard, one that is predicated upon science and evolutionary change rather than the outdated, restrictive "for other foundation no man can lay, but that which is laid; which is Christ Jesus." (1Cor 3:11) Henceforth, all theories, hypotheses, systems, faithful orthodox Christianity and Jesus Christ Himself must bow before the will of god-men and the instruments of their will--- esoteric science and evolution---if they are to be thinkable and true:

"The modern world is a world in evolution; hence the static concepts of the spiritual life must be rethought and the classical teachings of Christ must be reinterpreted." (ibid)

Toward the goal of Cosmic Salvation Teilhard subsumed Jesus Christ (John 1:1) into His own creation and secularized and paganized Christian theism to become the prophet of alchemy who has discovered that through fusion of universal evolutionism and the creative power of the Holy Trinity that the cosmos becomes divinely energized. In this way the magician promises to fulfill the ancient quest: the opus magnum. With this great power, said Teilhard:

"...I can increase the density of the divine atmosphere...that atmosphere in which it is always my one desire to be immersed...." (ibid)

Now that the cosmos is God, and the cosmos is evolving, then God too is in process of evolving, therefore,

"...the World...endomorphizes God, and that God....transforms himself as He incorporates us...All around us and within our own selves, God is in the process of changing...." (The Heart of the Matter, de Chardin, pp. 52-53)

In place of 'the earlier conception that God could create instantaneously,' the magician now teaches that God is both the Evolver and the object of evolution and,

"...cannot create except evolutively." (Christianity and Evolution, de Chardin, p. 179)

As with evolutionary theism and progressive creation, Teilhard's 'God' is not the omnipotent, omniscient, living, personal Triune God Who called everything into existence in six days, but an "it:"

"...God's power has not so free a field for its action as we assume; on the contrary...it labors to produce...it is always obliged, in the course of its creative effort, to pass through a whole series of intermediaries and to overcome a whole succession of inevitable risks..." (ibid, p.31)

The evolving "it" has deified human consciousness through three great leaps of evolution:

1. Cosmo genesis (Big Bang): the explosive birth of energy and matter

2. Biogenesis: alchemical transmutation of life from chemicals eventually followed by living forms

3. Noogenesis: the evolution of human consciousness which heralds the emergence of "cosmogenesis-God," the impersonal "it" that replaces,

"...the Father-God of two thousand years ago..." (ibid, p. 202)

Teilhard encouraged Christians to submit to the process of evolution because the promise of this living force is godhood through fusion with the substance of God:

"Though frightened for a moment by evolution, the Christian now perceives that what it offers him is a magnificent means of feeling more at one with God. In (the old, traditional form of Christianity), the universal domination of Christ could...still be regarded as an extrinsic and superimposed power. In a spiritually converging world, this 'Christic' energy acquires an urgency and intensity of another order altogether." (Seraphim Rose, p. 590, emphasis added)

In conclusion, evolutionism is an abomination of desolation.  It is metaphysical sophistry; sleight of hand; magic; serpent power, kundalini, zoe; Vril, Teilhard's Golden Calf.   It is the hell-born foolishness of man masquerading as science.

Falling Stars, Damnable Heresy, and the Spirit of Evolution

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22).

And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit." (Rev. 9:1)

In his Concise Commentary Matthew Henry identifies falling stars as tepid, indecisive, weak or apostate clergy who,

"Having ceased to be a minister of Christ, he who is represented by this star becomes the minister of the devil; and lets loose the powers of hell against the churches of Christ."

John identifies antichrists, in this case clergy who serve the devil rather than Christ, sequentially.  First, like Bultmann, Teilhard de Chardin, Robert Funk, Paul Tillich, and John Shelby Spong, they specifically deny the living, personal Holy Trinity in favor of Gnostic pagan, immanent or Eastern pantheist conceptions.   Though God the Father Almighty in three Persons upholds the souls of men and maintains life and creation, His substance is not within nature (space-time dimension) as pantheism maintains, but outside of it.  Sinful men live within nature and are burdened by time and mortality; God is not.

Second, the specific denial of the Father logically negates Jesus the Christ, the Word who was in the beginning (John 1), was with God, and is God from the creation of all things (1 John 1).  In a pre-incarnate theophany, Jesus is the Angel who spoke “mouth to mouth” to Moses (Num. 12:6-9; John 9:20) and at sundry times and in many ways “spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all…” (Hebrews 1:1)  Jesus the Christ is the incarnate Son of God who is the life and light of men, who by His shed blood on the Cross died for the remission of all sins and bestowed the privilege of adoption on all who put their faith in Him. Therefore, to deny the Holy Father is to logically deny the deity of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, hence,

“…every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist . . . and even now already is it in the world” (1 John 4:3).

According to Peter (2 Peter 2:1), falling stars will work among the faithful, teaching damnable heresies that deny the Lord, cause the fall of men into unbelief, and bring destruction upon themselves:

The natural parents of modern unbelief turn out to have been the guardians of belief.”  Many thinking people came at last “to realize that it was religion, not science or social change that gave birth to unbelief.  Having made God more and more like man---intellectually, morally, emotionally---the shapers of religion made it feasible to abandon God, to believe simply in man.” (James Turner of the University of Michigan in “American Babylon,” Richard John Neuhaus, p. 95)

Falling Stars and Damnable Heresy

Almost thirty years ago, two well-respected social science scholars, William Sims Bainbridge and Rodney Stark found themselves alarmed by what they saw as a rising tide of irrationalism, superstition and occultism---channeling cults, spirit familiars, necromancers, Wiccans, Satanists, Luciferians, goddess worshippers, 'gay' shamans, Hermetic magicians and other occult madness at every level of society, particularly within the most influential--- Hollywood, academia and the highest corridors of political power.

Like many scientists, they were equally concerned by Christian opposition to naturalistic evolution.  As is common in the science community, they assumed the cause of these social pathologies was somehow due to fundamentalism, their term for authentic Christian theism as opposed to liberalized Christianity.  Yet to their credit, the research they undertook to discover the cause was conducted both scientifically and with great integrity.  What they found was so startling it caused them to re-evaluate their attitude toward authentic Christian theism.  Their findings led them to say:

"It would be a mistake to conclude that fundamentalists oppose all science (when in reality they but oppose) a single theory (that) directly contradicts the bible. But it would be an equally great mistake to conclude that religious liberals and the irreligious possess superior minds of great rationality, to see them as modern personalities who have no need of the supernatural or any propensity to believe unscientific superstitions. On the contrary...they are much more likely to accept the new superstitions. It is the fundamentalists who appear most virtuous according to scientific standards when we examine the cults and pseudo-sciences proliferating in our society today." ("Superstitions, Old and New," The Skeptical Inquirer, Vol. IV, No. 4; summer, 1980)

In more detail they observed that authentic ‘born again’ Christians are far less likely to accept cults and pseudoscientific beliefs while the irreligious and liberalized Christians (i.e., progressive Catholics, Protestant emergent, NAR, word faith, prosperity gospel) are open to unscientific notions.  In fact, these two groups are most disposed toward occultism.

As Bainbridge and Stark admitted, evolution directly contradicts the Bible, beginning with the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo.  This means that evolution is the antithesis of the Genesis account. For this reason, discerning Christians refuse to submit to the evolutionary thinking that has swept Western and American society.  Nor do they accept the evolutionary theism brought into the whole body of the Church by weak, tepid, indecisive, or apostate clergy.

Over eighty years ago, Rev. C. Leopold Clarke wrote that priests who embrace evolution (evolutionary theists) are apostates from the ‘Truth as it is in Jesus.’ (1 John2:2)  Rev. Clarke, a lecturer at a London Bible college, discerned that evolution is the antithesis to the Revelation of God in the Deity of Jesus Christ, thus it is the greatest and most active agent of moral and spiritual disintegration:

It is a battering-ram of unbelief---a sapping and mining operation that intends to blow Religion sky-high.  The one thing which the human mind demands in its conception of God, is that, being Almighty, He works sovereignly and miraculously---and this is the thing with which Evolution dispenses….Already a tremendous effect, on a wide scale has been produced by the impact of this teaching---an effect which can only be likened to the…collapse of foundations…” (Evolution and the Break-Up of Christendom, Philip Bell, creation.com, Nov. 27, 2012)

The faith of the Christian Church and of the average Christian has had, and still has, its foundation as much in the literal and historic meaning of Genesis, the book of beginnings revealed ‘mouth to mouth’ by the Angel to Moses, as in that of the person and deity of Jesus Christ.  But how horrible a travesty of the sacred office of the Christian Ministry to see church leaders more eager to be abreast of the times, than earnestly contending for the Faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3).  It is high time, said Rev. Clarke, that the Church,

“…. separated herself from the humiliating entanglement attending her desire to be thought up to date…What, after all, have custodians of Divine Revelation to do making terms with speculative Biology, which has….no message of comfort or help to the soul?” (ibid)

The primary tactic employed by priests eager to accommodate themselves and the Church to modern science and evolutionary thinking is predictable.  It is the argument that evolution is entirely compatible with the Bible when we see Genesis, especially the first three chapters, in a non-literal, non-historical context.  This is the argument embraced and advanced by mega-church pastor Timothy J. Keller.

With a position paper Keller published with the theistic evolutionary organization Bio Logos he joined the ranks of falling stars (Catholic and Protestant priests) stretching back to the Renaissance.  Their slippery-slide into apostasy began when they gave into the temptation to embrace a non-literal, non-historical view of Genesis.  (A response to Timothy Keller’s ‘Creation, Evolution and Christian Laypeople,” Lita Cosner, Sept. 9, 2010, creation.com)

This is not a heresy unique to modern times.  The early Church Fathers dealt with this damnable heresy as well, counting it among the heretical tendencies of the Origenists.  Fourth-century Fathers such as John Chrysostom, Basil the Great and Ephraim the Syrian, all of whom wrote commentaries on Genesis, specifically warned against treating Genesis as an unhistorical myth or allegory.  John Chrysostom strongly warned against paying heed to these heretics,

“…let us stop up our hearing against them, and let us believe the Divine Scripture, and following what is written in it, let us strive to preserve in our souls sound dogmas.” (Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 31)

As St. Cyril of Alexandria wrote, higher theological, spiritual meaning is founded upon humble, simple faith in the literal and historic meaning of Genesis and one cannot apprehend rightly the Scriptures without believing in the historical reality of the events and people they describe. (ibid, Seraphim Rose, p. 40)

In the integral worldview teachings of the Fathers, neither the literal nor historical meaning of the Revelations of the pre-incarnate Jesus, the Angel who spoke to Moses, can be regarded as expendable.  There are at least four critically important reasons why.  First, to reduce the Revelation of God to allegory and myth is to contradict and usurp the authority of God, ultimately deny the deity of Jesus Christ; twist, distort, add to and subtract from the entire Bible and finally, to imperil the salvation of believers.

Scenarios commonly proposed by modern Origenists posit a cleverly disguised pantheist/immanent nature deity subject to the space-time dimension and forces of evolution. But as noted previously, it is sinful man who carries the burden of time, not God.  This is a crucial point, for when evolutionary theists add millions and billions of zeros (time) to God they have transferred their own limitations onto Him.  They have ‘limited’ God and made Him over in their own image. This is not only idolatrous but satanic.

Additionally, evolution inverts creation.  In place of God’s good creation from which men fell there is an evolutionary escalator starting at the bottom with matter, then progressing upward toward life, then up and through the life and death of millions of evolved creatures that preceded humans by millions of years until at long last an apish humanoid emerges into which a deity that is always in a state of becoming (evolving) places a soul.

Evolution amputates the entire historical precedent from the Gospel and makes Jesus Christ unnecessary as the atheist Frank Zindler enthusiastically points out:

The most devastating thing that biology did to Christianity was the discovery of biological evolution.  Now that we know that Adam and Eve never were real people the central myth of Christianity is destroyed.  If there never was an Adam and Eve, there never was an original sin.  If there never was an original sin there is no need of salvation.  If there is no need of salvation there is no need of a saviour.  And I submit that puts Jesus…into the ranks of the unemployed.  I think evolution absolutely is the death knell of Christianity.” (“Atheism vs. Christianity,” 1996, Lita Cosner, creation.com, June 13, 2013)

None of this was lost on Darwin’s bulldog, Thomas Henry Huxley (1825-1985).  Huxley was thoroughly familiar with the Bible, thus he understood that if Genesis is not the authoritative Word of God, is not historical and literal despite its’ symbolic and poetic elements, then the entirety of Scripture becomes a collection of fairytales resulting in tragic downward spiraling consequences as the Catholic Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation makes clear in part:

By denying the historical truth of the first chapters of Genesis, theistic evolutionism has fostered a preoccupation with natural causes almost to the exclusion of supernatural ones.  By denying the several supernatural creative acts of God in Genesis, and by downplaying the importance of the supernatural activity of Satan, theistic evolutionists slip into a naturalistic mentality which seeks to explain everything in terms of natural causes.  Once this mentality takes hold, it is easy for men to regard the concept of spiritual warfare as a holdover from the days of primitive superstition.  Diabolical activity is reduced to material or psychological causes.  The devil and his demons come to be seen as irrelevant.  Soon ‘hell’ joins the devil and his demons in the category of antiquated concepts.  And the theistic evolutionist easily makes the fatal mistake of thinking that he has nothing more to fear from the devil and his angels.  According to Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the chief exorcist of Rome, there is a tremendous increase in diabolical activity and influence in the formerly Christian world.  And yet most of the bishops of Europe no longer believe in the existence of evil spirits….To the Fathers of the Church who believed in the truth of Genesis, this would be incredible.  But in view of the almost universal acceptance of theistic evolution, it is hardly surprising.” (The Difference it makes: The Importance of the Traditional Doctrine of Creation, Hugh Owen, kolbecenter.org)

Huxley had ‘zero’ respect for modern Origenists and received enormous pleasure from heaping piles of hot coals and burning contempt upon them, thereby exposing their shallow-reasoning, hypocrisy, timidity, fear of non-acceptance, and unfaithfulness.  With sarcasm dripping from his words he quipped,

I am fairly at a loss to comprehend how any one, for a moment, can doubt that Christian theology must stand or fall with the historical trustworthiness of the Jewish Scriptures. The very conception of the Messiah, or Christ, is inextricably interwoven with Jewish history; the identification of Jesus of Nazareth with that Messiah rests upon the interpretation of passages of the Hebrew Scriptures which have no evidential value unless they possess the historical character assigned to them. If the covenant with Abraham was not made; if circumcision and sacrifices were not ordained by Jahveh; if the “ten words” were not written by God’s hand on the stone tables; if Abraham is more or less a mythical hero, such as Theseus; the story of the Deluge a fiction; that of the Fall a legend; and that of the creation the dream of a seer; if all these definite and detailed narratives of apparently real events have no more value as history than have the stories of the regal period of Rome—what is to be said about the Messianic doctrine, which is so much less clearly enunciated? And what about the authority of the writers of the books of the New Testament, who, on this theory, have not merely accepted flimsy fictions for solid truths, but have built the very foundations of Christian dogma upon legendary quicksands?” (Darwin’s Bulldog---Thomas Huxley, Russell Grigg, creation.com, Oct. 14, 2008)

Pouring more contempt on them he asked,

When Jesus spoke, as of a matter of fact, that "the Flood came and destroyed them all," did he believe that the Deluge really took place, or not? It seems to me that, as the narrative mentions Noah’s wife, and his sons’ wives, there is good scriptural warranty for the statement that the antediluvians married and were given in marriage; and I should have thought that their eating and drinking might be assumed by the firmest believer in the literal truth of the story. Moreover, I venture to ask what sort of value, as an illustration of God’s methods of dealing with sin, has an account of an event that never happened? If no Flood swept the careless people away, how is the warning of more worth than the cry of “Wolf” when there is no wolf? If Jonah’s three days’ residence in the whale is not an “admitted reality,” how could it “warrant belief” in the “coming resurrection?” … Suppose that a Conservative orator warns his hearers to beware of great political and social changes, lest they end, as in France, in the domination of a Robespierre; what becomes, not only of his argument, but of his veracity, if he, personally, does not believe that Robespierre existed and did the deeds attributed to him?” (ibid)

 Concerning Matthew 19:5:

If divine authority is not here claimed for the twenty-fourth verse of the second chapter of Genesis, what is the value of language? And again, I ask, if one may play fast and loose with the story of the Fall as a “type” or “allegory,” what becomes of the foundation of Pauline theology?” (ibid)

 And concerning Cor. 15:21-22:

If Adam may be held to be no more real a personage than Prometheus, and if the story of the Fall is merely an instructive “type,” comparable to the profound Promethean mythus, what value has Paul’s dialectic?” (ibid)

After much thought, C.S. Lewis concluded that evolution is the central, most radical lie at the center of a vast network of lies within which modern Westerners are entangled while Rev. Clarke identifies the central lie as the Gospel of another Spirit. The fiendish aim of this Spirit is to help men lose God, not find Him, and by contradicting the Divine Redeemer, compromising Priests are serving this Spirit and its’ diabolical purposes.  To contradict the Divine Redeemer is the very essence of unfaithfulness, and that it should be done while reverence is professed,

“…. is an illustration of the intellectual and moral topsy-turvydom of Modernism…’He whom God hath sent speaketh the Words of God,’ claimed Christ of Himself (John 3:34), and no assumption of error can hold water in the face of that declaration, without blasphemy.”

Evolutionary theists are serving the devil, therefore “no considerations of Christian charity, of tolerance, of policy, can exonerate Christian leaders or Churches who fail to condemn and to sever themselves from compromising, cowardly, shilly-shallying priests”---the falling stars who “challenge the Divine Authority of Jesus Christ.” (ibid)

The rebuttals, warnings and counsels of the Fathers against listening to Origenists (and their modern evolutionary counterparts) indicates that the spirit of antichrist operating through modern rationalistic criticism of the Revelation of God is not a heresy unique to our times but was inveighed against by early Church Fathers.

From the scholarly writings of the Eastern Orthodox priest, Fr. Seraphim Rose, to the incisive  analysis, rebuttals and warnings of the Catholic Kolbe Center, creation.com, Creation Research Institute, Rev. Clarke, and many other stalwart defenders of the faith once delivered, all are a clear, compelling call to the whole body of the Church to hold fast to the traditional doctrine of creation as it was handed down from the Apostles, for as God spoke and Jesus is the Living Word incarnate, it is incumbent upon the faithful to submit their wills to the Divine Will and Authority of God rather than to the damnable heresy proffered by falling stars eager to embrace naturalistic science and the devil's antithesis--- evolution.  But if it seem evil to you to serve the Lord,

“…you have your choice: choose this day that which pleases you, whom you would rather serve….but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

1 Tim. 4:1---Apostasy & the Dragon in the Church

Lutheran pastor, the Reverend Thomas Messer of Peace Lutheran Church in Alma, Michigan, has studied Revelation extensively and after an exhaustive survey of America's idolatrous, morally-relative post-Christian culture and narcissistic postmodern church he wonders if we may already be living in the 'little season' of Satan.  In his commentary on Revelation 9, Rev. Messer observes that during Satan's little season faithful worship of the living Triune God will be all but lost, as is occurring now, and people will worship anything and everything but Him, even an idol called Jesus or Christ in connection with the 'new' occult pagan spirituality moving with great speed and force into the Church.

The 'new' spirituality overtaking the Church, America and the West is not new at all but is rather the reappearance of ancient Egyptian Hermetic magic grounded in pantheism and spiritism, Greco-Roman nature religions, Eastern mysticism/reincarnation/karma, spiritual and biological evolutionary conceptions, neo-platonism, the Enochian system of magic, Roisicrucianism, tantra, and tarot cards which are seen as the occult keys to the Oroboros (Cosmic Tree of Life).

From the seeker-sensitive (tares-friendly) theology of the emergent church growth movement with its emphasis on earthly bread and spiritual formation to Word Faith magic and the New Apostolic Reformation with its’ Super Apostles who “channel” spirits, all of these movements have a lot in common with the “new” occult spirituality, particularly Hermetic magic.

From the Renaissance to our own time, ancient Egyptian Hermetic magic repackaged for example, as Carl Jung’s demon-derived transpersonal and depth psychology, Mind Science, Alpha Course, Silva Mind Control Method, New Thought, yogic trance, hypnosis, Word Faith, the Force, centering, positive imaging, visualization, various meditation techniques, the Law of Attraction, and the multi-million dollar best-sellers A Course in Miracles and The Secret have been taking America and the West by storm:

People go through their whole lives chasing everything in the material world, and they fail to discover the greatest treasure of all, which is within them.  Shut your eyes to the outside world.  Direct your thoughts and words inside of you.  The Master within you is the key to all the treasures in the world.” (Rhonda Byrne, The Secret Daily Teachings)

Hermeticism is the secret science of magic--- the occult way of immortality---invented by Hermes Trismegistus who lived in ancient Egypt around the time of Moses.  In “Biographa Antiqua” the English occultist Frances Barret writes that Hermes “communicated the sum of the Abyss, and divine knowledge to all posterity.”   The word ‘Abyss’ refers to pantheist and/or panentheist conceptions such as the Divine One Substance, World Soul, Brahman, Star-Maker, or with Hermes, the Universal Life personified by the Great Dragon  (Oroboros) from whose body and wings stream light in all directions.

The Hermetic principle speaks of the correlation between the Great Dragon (Oroboros) and the mind of man expressed in the magic formula, “As above, so below.”   As a powerful occult symbol, the Oroboros is the seething power, creative and/or evolutionary impulse or energy of the Great Dragon figuratively depicted as either a serpent or dragon eating its own tail.

The Great Dragon is also symbolized by the great chain of being, cosmic tree of life or with Darwin the tree of life.  In modern Luciferian theosophical thought for example, the Oroboros “above” (i.e., the Force, Cosmic Mind) corresponds to a number of different astral planes and sub-planes comprising the habitations of all supernatural entites.    Thus the Great Dragon’s body with its’ supposed multiple dimensions and life-giving serpent power not only powers the World Spirit  above (Jung’s collective unconscious with its archetypes) but reaches down below into the psyche and/or ‘subconscious,’  ‘personal unconscious,’ and/or Christ-consciousness stirring imagination and conferring psychic powers and divinity (you can be as God).

The foundation of Hermeticism is forbidden knowledge revealed to Hermes during a self-induced trance state resulting in the opening of his mind to contact with the Great Dragon who revealed to Hermes that his own nature is divine.  The Divine Pymander of Hermes Trismegistus relates Hermes mystical encounter with the Great Dragon who called itself Poimandres, the Mind of the Universe that is within Hermes.  (www.themystica.com/)

Upon transforming itself into a glorious being of Light the Dragon proceeded to ‘illuminate’ Hermes with the forbidden knowledge that would eventually find its’ way into Christendom during the Renaissance and eventually into William James theory of the subconscious, Jung’s transpersonal and depth psychology and all of today’s Mind Sciences, occult meditation and Word Faith systems that hold out the promise of personal power by going within:

“….all is mind and…everything is governed by law (thus man) can create, or have created for him from his own thinking.  He can create such a strong mental atmosphere of success that its power of attraction will be irresistible.  He can send his thoughts throughout the world and have it bring back to him whatever he wants.” (Creative Mind and Success, Ernest Holmes, New Thought practitioner)

Your unconscious mind (has a) power that turns wishes into realities when the wishes are strong enough.” (Norman Vincent Peale, “Positive Imaging,” 1982, p. 77)

Word Faith teacher Kenneth Copeland tells people to visualize any image,

“…that you get down inside you that is so vivid when you close your eyes you see it, it’ll come to pass.  When God came at the Tower of Babel, He said, ‘Anything they can imagine, they can do.” (Inner Image of the Covenant, side 2, Copeland)

Like Copeland, Yonggi Cho similarly teaches that through visualizing and dreaming you will,

“….incubate that which we want God to do for us….If you have not visualized clearly in your heart exactly what you hope foe, it cannot become a reality to you…”  (The Fourth Dimension, Vol. 1, Yonggi Cho, 1979, 9-35, vol. 2, 18-33)

In “The Dust of Death,” British scholar Os Guinness argues that the two most common paths to contact with and even possession by spirits are mind-altering drugs and meditation techniques that place the mind in an altered state of consciousness (i.e., dreaming and visualization) that open the door to powers and principalities:

For those of our generation who stumble on the spirit world accidentally, the two most common paths are LSD and misapplied meditation techniques…Many who take acid regularly or who practice yoga or Zen meditation have found they have opened their minds to blackness and spiritism, seeing themselves as mediums and describing themselves as possessed.” (Guinness, pp. 298, 300)

Lifelong occult practitioner David Conway explains both the occult magic ritual (i.e., Zen Buddhism) and the eventual consequences…. madness, possession and even human sacrifice.   First the worshipper attunes himself (through dreaming and visualization, yogic trance, etc.) to the sacred mystery being performed (i.e., sending thoughts throughout the world and having them bring back whatever the practitioner wants), and then,

“…usually as the climax the presence of a particular deity is invoked (Now) the adept’s slightest gesture can thus extend through all the worlds of being into the depths of the Godhead (i.e., Oroboros), and any words he whispers will echo throughout the length and breadth of the universe…The climax to all magical ritual occurs when the adept draws into himself the astral force he has evoked so as to project it towards a chosen object.  To do this he must surrender his complete being to the astral force…waiting to possess it and this he does by cultivating….madness, akin to the divine frenzy of the Bacchantes….As he feels the force overflowing inside him the adept, while still visualizing the realized magical intention, bids it go forth to fulfill his wishes….For some magicians the dislocation of reason coincides with the moment of sacrifice.  Others perform this sacrifice before proceeding to the climax of the rite, arguing that the vital energy discharged by the victim’s blood assists the possessing entity to appear inside the circle….”(Magic: An Occult Primer, Conway, 1973, pp. 70,78,120, 198; emphasis added)

Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils.” (1 Tim. 4:1)

As apostasy overspreads the whole body of the Church and occult spiritism invades it, it is no wonder that Rev. Messer believes that what we are witnessing is the great falling away that takes place during Satan's little season when most people will worship the devil,

"There will be a great falling away from the faith in the Church, as foretold by our Lord and His apostles...so that the Church itself will accept evil and present it as good. Not only will people refuse to repent, but, influenced by Satan and his minions, they will promote sin as being salvific.  Murder will not only be condoned, but promoted in society as a good thing (abortion?)."

Tragically, both unrepentant secular individuals and increasing numbers of sinless Christians are being seduced by an occult spiritual mythology that grew out of the Renaissance and maintains that man is not fallen, that he is ultimately perfectible through a process of evolution and that by “going within” he can attain psychic powers and realize that he is “God.”

The malignant mind holding out this seductive promise is the same fallen angel who tempted Adam and Eve in the garden with the words, “Ye shall be as Gods.” (Gen. 3:5)   Of course what he really means is that all who are seduced by his promise will end up in outer darkness along with the devil and his host.

The Church-Growth Network, Change-Agent Pastors and the Churches of Prometheanism

In "What the Hell? Vatican caught on damnation of non-believers" Jonathan Owen reports that with a new Pope in place, the Catholic Church is keen to portray itself as open-minded, tolerant, modern and relevant.   But as Owen argues,  a recent suggestion by Pope Francis that atheists could also be "redeemed" by God has led the church to return to medieval rhetoric with an official Vatican spokesman forced to clarify that non-believers are indeed destined for hell.   (thereporter.com.au, 29th May 2013)

In a thinly veiled rebuke of the new Pope, Vatican spokesman Father Thomas Rosica made it abundantly clear that merely being "good" is not enough to avoid going to hell.  On the issue of "salvation" he remarked:

"They cannot be saved who, knowing the Church as founded by Christ and necessary for salvation, would refuse to enter her or remain in her." (ibid)

On his Friendly Atheist blog, Hemant Mehta wrote:

"We all knew that sense of one-ness and actions-speak-louder-than-prayers wasn't going to last very long." "Atheists, according to Christians, are going to hell unless we accept Christ's divinity. We already knew that. It was still an unusual and welcome gesture from the Pope to recognise that everyone, regardless of beliefs, can do good and 'be saved' - at least it was a step up from what we're used to hearing." (ibid)

Owen's arrogant charge that the Vatican has been "caught" red-handed is entirely reasonable given its widespread acceptance of  both Darwin's  evolutionary materialism (all that exists is matter and energy in motion)  and Teilhard de Chardin's  spiritualized Hindu-pantheist conception (matter is divine spirit and evolution now lives and is conscious of itself).

"Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on."   Proverbs 4:14

Ideas have consequences, and these neo-pagan conceptions have disastrous ones, starting with God's Truth.    God's Truth is no longer  immutable.   It is no longer what His will approves, what His holiness entails, and what His mind knows:

"A biblical perspective of truth also necessarily entails the recognition that ultimate truth is an objective reality.  Truth exists outside of us and remains the same regardless of how we may perceive it.  Truth by definition is as fixed and constant as God is immutable." (The Truth War, John MacArthur, p. xx)

Ultimate Truth as our objective reality has been cast down by evolutionary conceptions and supplanted by man's rationalizations and irrational feelings passed off as truth.   (Philippians 2:21)  This being the case, the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo is no longer true, man is no longer the three part spiritual image bearer of the living triune God, there is no transcendent dimension outside of the space/time dimension, there was no fall,  man is not a sinner in desperate need of our Savior, and the idea of eternal  damnation is a baseless, hateful notion based in unscientific medieval rhetoric

At the root of the modernist and/or postmodernist, pluralistic, culturally relevant, anti-tradition Church, be it Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox or Protestant, is defiance of God, pride unlimited, a yearning for the stones (earthly bread) of this world rather than heavenly manna, and a desire for power with the assumption of divine attributes matched by a driving determination to utterly transform the Christian Church and manipulate and shape mankind's fate.

Modernism emerged out of the Enlightenment, a religious, philosophical, intellectual and cultural revolution that elevated the omniscient mind of man--his will to power, reason and omnipotent criticism over the mind of  the Triune God and His Revealed Word.

Puffed up with pride Modernists sought scientific and rationalistic explanations for everything and lauded the superiority of the empirical method as the only reliable way to determine what man can know, thus they foolishly  dismissed the idea of  immutable truth, moral absolutes, the supernatural dimension, miracles, creeds, doctrines and even man's soul.   All of this they stupidly derided as blind faith and superstition and relegated to the dustbin of history.    According to John MacArthur:

"Those presuppositions gave birth to Darwinism, which in turn spawned a string of humanistic ideas and worldviews.  Most prominent among them were several atheistic, rationalistic, Utopian philosophies - including Marxism, fascism, socialism, communism and theological liberalism." (p. 9)

Overconfident rationalism, human conceit, arrogance, idolatrous men usurping the throne of God---all of this characterized the Modern era which finally issued in organized hatred of God---a universal totalitarian atheism that unleashed catastrophic destruction and rivers of human blood during the 20th century.   Depending on the researcher, death totals range from 120,000,000 to 350,000,000 men, women, and children.

At some unmarked point during the last twenty years America and the West moved out of the Modern Age into the Postmodern Age and with Pontius Pilate, postmodern agnostics, atheists, pagans, occult New Agers and their faithless "Christian" counterparts derisively ask, "What is truth?" (John 18:37-38) and claim that we can't be certain about anything, including God's self-revelation through the scriptures.

Postmodern Pontius Pilate, Peter Drucker, played a key role in the development of the contemporary 'new way of doing church' formulated by Bill Hybels, Rick Warren and countless other contemporary church growth gurus that is slavishly cloned by thousands upon thousands of infatuated pastors here and around the world.

In "Peter Drucker's Mega-Church Legacy" Herescope (Discernment Research Group) reports:

"One perhaps unexpected example of Druckerism is the modern mega-church movement. He suggested to evangelical pastors that they create a more customer-friendly environment (hold back on the overt religious symbolism and provide plenty of facilities). Bill Hybels, the pastor of the 17,000-strong Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, has a quotation from Mr Drucker hanging outside his office: 'What is our business? Who is our customer? What does the customer consider value?'" ("Trusting the teacher in the grey-flannel suit" The Economist, Nov 17th 2005, Herescope, November 18, 2005)

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.... Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!"   Isaiah 5:20-21

The Drucker-style consumer and business church model grows by opening the front door of the Church to pagans, atheists, and agnostics, and to make them feel comfortable it de-emphasizes immutable truth, moral absolutes, Original Sin, hell, confession, repentance, true spiritual growth, apologetics, reverence and traditional hymns and proposes instead an irreverent, laid-back horizontal approach tailored for the carnal  appetites and felt-needs of the "unchurched and dechurched" rather than for the spiritually-mature.

This way of reasoning is in keeping with the postmodern mentality that believes that as Christian theism is no longer a matter of Divine Revelation it can be deconstructed and changed so as to reflect human experience, emotions, desires, and appetites.

The driving ambition to deconstruct and deceptively change God's Word means that church growth gurus and like-minded pastors are actually revolutionary change-agents---transformational leaders, the new Prometheans who hold in contempt statements of faith, appeals to transcendent Authority, definition, rules, processes and doctrinal boundaries and reject any concept of certain, objective, and universal knowledge as well as all of the spiritually mature believers who profess them.

"...all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned..."     2 Timothy 3:1-14

Because the most spiritually mature and discerning are resistant to change they are disparaged, marginalized and ridiculed as 'traditionalists' and demonized as divisive, narrow-minded, confrontational troublemakers and eventually forced to leave.  Bob Buford's widely read church growth management manual, Leading Congregational Change (LCC), promoted by Buford's Leadership Network, offers a popular strategy for dealing with odious faithful traditionalists heartily endorsed by  Rick Warren who tells church-growth advocates that this is the book they should read before changing anything.

Buford defines the spiritually mature thinkers and discerners in every Church as "pockets of resistance" that must be dealt with by change-agent pastors and team members:

"Address Specific Pockets of Resistance. Resistance is the 'opposite reaction' to change.... [It] can come in many different forms—confrontational or passive-aggressive, from known troublemakers or loyal supporters, as a result of a specific change or of an incorrect perception...." (Leading Congregational Change, pp. 90-91, from "Spirit-Led or Purpose Driven?" pt. 4, Berit Kjos)

"My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent." Proverbs 1:10

The successful change operation depends on persuading the less spiritually mature majority to submit to a "new way" of doing church.  In this new model, the congregation of individual minds is reduced to an emotions-fueled collective unconscious--a belly sated by the bread of this world--- guided by a cheerleader pastor who is himself the servant of  a "Christianized" version of George Orwell's totalitarian Big Brother.   This "new" Big Brother works through a vast interlocking network with tentacles that stretch for example, from the much promoted National Back to Church Sunday event to the Billion Soul Network, Global Church, Leadership Network, World Leaders Group, Global Leadership Conference, Bill Hybels global empire (the Willow Creek Association) to Rick Warren's personal empire and his  monumentally ambitious U.N. approved P.E.A.C.E Plan to New World Order elitist Tony Blair and his syncretic interfaith initiative:

"Tony Blair has just embarked upon a project to further the cause of global governance, and he is intending to use religion as the vehicle. Called the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, its purpose is to create momentum for achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals.   His role is not unlike that of John Foster Dulles nearly a century ago, who worked to create 'an international ethos' [through the Church] which would be essential as any foundation for any lasting international political structure.' Commenting on this, historian Dr. Martin Erdmann wrote, 'The first responsibility of the Church would thus be to inform the general public about international affairs.' He explained how 'the churches would need to unite their forces to transform the present sovereignty system into a world order system wherever possible.'" (Herescope quoting from Building the Kingdom of God on Earth, 2005, p. 113 ibid Kjos)

While the National Back to Church Sunday campaign holds out the promise of something wonderful, in back of this campaign is the Billion Soul Network. (Back to Church Sunday Engages with Billion Soul Network, backtochurch.com)

In demonstration of its' syncretic spirit, consumer and business mentality and globalist goals, in Feb 2012 the Billion Soul Network issued an email containing ‘A Special Message From Dr. Ken Blanchard.’   Blanchard, whose spiritual leanings are toward occult New Age spirituality and spiritism, was promoting the 2012 World Leaders Conference presented by World Leaders Group.  Featured speakers included Tony Blair, Cokie Roberts, Ken Blanchard, Tony Dungy, Bill Hybels, Henry Cloud, Patrick Lencioni, Craig Groschel, James Blanchard, Erwin McManus, Mark Floyd, and Tim Sanders.  (Watching:  A “Billion Souls” and the World Leaders Conference, standupfortruth.com, 2012/03)

Despite its' syncretic spirit, man-centered religion and other obvious bad aspects, the Billion Soul Network describes itself as a God-birthed movement, though of course it doesn't tell us what "God" supposedly birthed its movement.   Its' aim is missional, (a favorite word of NAR and syncretic global church growth advocates) thus its aim is  to ‘help plant five million new churches for a billion soul harvest’ and ‘finish the Great Commission by AD 2100."   In the spirit of syncretism, the Billion Soul Network asserts,

We can achieve more together than we ever could alone by synergizing our efforts to bring back the King.’ (billion.tv)

In this light we can understand why  church-growth guru Bill Hybels  polls unbelievers and tailors Sunday morning service to their expressed needs. What unbelievers want is a "new" church, an anti-traditional culturally relevant place where they can feel unthreatened by "hymns" and harsh words such as "sin" and "hell."   What they want are the stones of this world transformed into bread, thus Hybels makes sure they are entertained in a creative, humorous, culturally relevant atmosphere:

" ... a place designed for [the unbeliever]. We have put a lot of time and thought into what non-churched people want from a Sunday morning service. And we have concluded that they basically want four things: (1) anonymity; (2) truth presented at an introductory level; (3) time to 'make a decision'; and (4) excellence in programming, creativity, humor, contemporary [worship], relevancy, etc." ( Hybels' 1990 message: "Who We Are at Willow Creek.")

Thousands upon thousands of immature believers and carnal people attend Willow Creek's "seeker sensitive services" where they can dress down and dine on earthly bread without guilt or shame. There is no room for heavenly manna in Hybel's Willow Creek empire-- no uncomfortable sermons against sin, no hymns, nothing about judgment, and no call for repentance.

Instead fleshly appetites are lavishly sated by a 20-piece "Christian" rock band with laser lights and an elaborate sound system, energizing pop-rock singers, multi-media displays, plays, stories and thin gruel punctuated by jokes geared to those who are investigating Christianity. To further entice the seeker-sensitive crowd there are darts, basketball, and coloring for the youngsters, a massive food court and a fully-out-fitted exercise gym. (Bill Hybels, Biblical Discernment Ministries)

As is the case with all postmodern 'new church' formulas, the Hybels model weaves the reigning pagan system of the world with the sacred and the dark with light, thereby compromising the Revealed Word and rejecting the proposition that truth "by definition is as fixed and constant as God is immutable." (MacArthur, p. xx)

"...do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.... Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good."  Romans 12:2, 9

As its focus is on supplying unbelievers with earthly bread, there is no heavenly bread, hence no possibility of renewing the spirit of the mind (Ephesians 4:23-24):

"The spirit is the human spirit, having its seat in and directing the mind...The renewal takes place, not in the mind, but in the spirit of it. "The change is not in mind psychologically, either in its essence or in its operation; and neither is it in the mind as if it were a superficial change of opinion either on points of doctrine or practice: but it is in the spirit of the mind; in that which gives mind both its bent and its materials of thought. It is not simply in the spirit as if it lay there in dim and mystic quietude; but it is in the spirit of the mind; in the power which, when changed itself, radically alters the entire sphere and business of the inner mechanism" (Vincent's Word Studies).

In the final analysis, the trendy, culturally relevant, tolerant "new" churches over and across the entire denominational spectrum throughout America and around the world are being changed from places of life into places of death.  They are becoming trendy, culturally relevant mausoleums of death. (Isaiah 66:3-4)

@Linda Kimball

The Postmodern 'New Church:' a trendy mausoleum for the children of unbelief

In his book, "The Truth War," John MacArthur writes that all 'true' truth, as opposed to man's rationalizations and feelings passed off as truth, begins with what is true about the living, supernatural God.  Truth is what His will approves, what His holiness entails, what His mind knows.  Truth then is determined and properly explained by the being of God, thus by extension,

"A biblical perspective of truth also necessarily entails the recognition that ultimate truth is an objective reality.  Truth exists outside of us and remains the same regardless of how we may perceive it.  Truth by definition is as fixed and constant as God is immutable." (MacArthur, p. xx)

God has revealed Himself and His truth with clarity.  Even apart from the explicit revelations of the Bible beginning with the Genesis account of creation, God has made sufficiently clear some of the principle elements of spiritual truth to all people through creation and conscience (Romans 1:19-20, 2:14-16) so as to leave the entire human race without excuse.(Roman's 1:20)

This being the case, all those who are condemned in the final judgment said MacArthur,

"...will be held responsible for rejecting whatever truth was available to them....a just and righteous God holds unbelievers and believers alike responsible for obedience to His revelation is irrefutable proof that He has made the truth sufficiently clear for us.  To claim that the Bible is not sufficiently clear is to assault God's own wisdom and integrity." (pp. xxi-xxii)

Yet today tens of thousands of people who call themselves Christians claim to follow Jesus but reject His truth, claiming instead that personal feelings and experience are more important then revealed truth.  These Christians are adherents of today's contemporary or postmodern 'new way of doing church.'

in 'Postmodern Youth Ministry,' Tony Jones, a leading contemporary and/or emergent pastor says:

"Stop looking for some objective truth that is available when we delve into the text of the Bible." (Emerging Church/New Spirituality: Part 3 Postmodernism, ImmanuelCommunity.org.uk)

In agreement, Brian McLaren says:

"Arguments that pit absolutism versus relativism, and objectivism versus subjectivism, prove meaningless or absurd to Postmodern people." (ibid)

Postmodernism is a reaction against the 'modern' age of Enlightenment which began around the beginning of the 18th century and lasted until about 50 years ago.  The Enlightenment was a philosophical, intellectual and cultural revolution that elevated the mind of man--his reason, logic, and criticism over the mind of God together with superiority of empirical scientific thought  over doctrine and creeds, which were dismissed as blind faith and superstition.

Modernism represented the pursuit of absolutism (i.e. Darwin's absolute law of natural selection), the empirical method as the only reliable way to determine truth, and rationalism (mind of man over God).

The Modern mind dismissed the idea of the supernatural, miracles, and even man's soul and sought scientific and rationalistic explanations for everything.

Overconfident rationalism, human conceit, arrogance, men usurping the throne of God---all of this characterized the Modern era which finally issued in organized hatred of God---a universal totalitarian atheism that unleashed catastrophic destruction and rivers of human blood during the 20th century.

As noted previously, postmodernism is a reaction against the modernist mindset characterized by arrogance, inflexibility, omniscient reason, the need to be right at any cost coupled with the burning desire to be in control which brought the world to the brink of disaster.  Postmodernism therefore reflects a loss of confidence in the power of human reason and scientific inquiry to understand the nature of true reality.

With the rise of postmodernism our view of man, of what we can and cannot know, of reality and the world changed, said business management guru Peter Drucker in the introduction to his 1957 book ‘Landmarks of Tomorrow.’ At some unmarked point during the last twenty years we have moved out of the Modern Age,

" ....and into a new, as yet nameless era.  Our view of the world changed…. There is a new spiritual centre to human existence." (ibid, ImmanuelCommunity.org.uk)

With Pilate, postmodern thinkers derisively ask, "What is truth?" (John 18:37-38) and claim therefore that we can't be certain about anything, including God's self-revelation through the scriptures.  In his book, "A Heretic's Guide to Eternity," Spencer Burke, expresses this uncertainty:

"I’m not sure I believe in God exclusively as a person any more." (ibid)

Postmodern thinker Peter Drucker played a key role in the development of the contemporary 'new way of doing church' formulated by Bill Hybels, Rick Warren and countless other contempory 'new church' gurus and slavishly cloned by thousands upon thousands of infatuated pastors.

The Drucker-style contemporary church model de-emphasizes immutable truth, moral absolutes, Original Sin, hell, confession, repentance, vertical spiritual growth, apologetics, and traditional hymns and proposes instead a horizontal approach tailored for unbelievers and their felt-needs rather than for the spiritually-mature.   This way of thinking is in keeping with the belief of the postmodern Church that theology must be constructed from human experience, needs, desires, and passions and not from divine revelation.  For postmodern pastors there is no supernatural authority that determines truth, moral absolutes, the shape of theological vision, or doctrine.  They hold in contempt statements of faith, appeals to transcendent Authority, definition, rules and doctrinal boundaries and reject any concept of certain, objective, and universal knowledge as well as all who profess them.  These people, the most spiritually mature, are most generally disparaged, marginalized and ridiculed as 'traditionalists.'

In this light it makes sense that Hybels solution was to poll unbelievers and tailor Sunday morning service to their expressed needs. What unbelievers want is to feel unthreatened as well as entertained in a creative, humorous, culturally relevant atmosphere,

" ... a place designed for [the unbeliever].

Thousands of postmodern people attend Willow Creek's "seeker sensitive services" where they can dress down and dine on earthly bread without guilt or shame. There is no room for heavenly bread in Willow Creek-- no uncomfortable sermons against sin, nothing about judgment, and no call for repentance.

Instead 'worshippers' are lavishly entertained by a 20-piece "Christian" rock band with laser lights and an elaborate sound system, energizing pop-rock singers, multi-media displays, plays, stories and thin gruel punctuated by jokes geared to those who are investigating Christianity. To further entice the seeker-sensitive crowd there are darts, basketball, and coloring for the youngsters, a massive food court and a fully-out-fitted exercise gym. (Bill Hybels, Biblical Discernment Ministries)

As is the case with all postmodern 'new church' formulas, the Hybels model weaves the reigning secular system of the world with the sacred, the dark with light, thereby compromising the Revealed Word and rejecting the proposition that truth "by definition is as fixed and constant as God is immutable." (MacArthur, p. xx)

The spirit of the mind that has not been renewed walks according,

"...to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of this air, of the spirit that now worketh on the children of unbelief." Ephesians 2:2

In the final analysis, the postmodern church is not a place of life but of death.  It is a trendy, culturally relevant mausoleum for the children of unbelief.

You can be as God: Invitation of the Emerging Cosmic Christ

In the “The Christ of the New Age Movement," Ron Rhodes notes that apostate New Age theologian David Spangler defines Christ as a cosmic principle:

"Any old Christ will not do, not if we need to show that we have something better than the mainstream Christian traditions. It must be a cosmic Christ, a universal Christ, a New Age Christ." The Christ is not so much a religious figure, "but rather a cosmic principle, a spiritual presence whose quality infuses and appears in various ways in all the religions and philosophies that uplift humanity and seek unity with spirit." (Ron Rhodes, “The Christ of the New Age Movement: Part One in a Two-Part Series on New Age Christology," cited in "A Quantum Cosmic Christ," Herescope Blogspot, June 2012)

The cosmic Christ is a rephrasing of Teilhard's Omega and is as well the divine One Substance of Leonard Sweet's quantum spirituality:

"Quantum spirituality bonds us to all creation as well as to other members of the human family…. This entails a radical doctrine of embodiment of God in the very substance of creation…. But a spirituality that is not in some way entheistic (whether pan- or trans-), that does not extend to the spirit-matter of the cosmos, is not Christian." (ibid, Leonard Sweet, Quantum Spirituality: A Postmodern Apologetic ")

By any name, Postmodern Christianity, Quantum Spirituality or Teilhard's New Religion, it is a synthesis of heresies whose primary doctrine is evolution and Bishop Fulton J. Sheen was right on target when he pointed to the influence of the infamous heretic Teilhard de Chardin:

"As one looks at the various trends in our day, one sees that Teilhard’s [de Chardin] conception of spirituality is in the forefront. He knew that he had to pass through many hazards, but he was directed principally to the cosmic world. Others have been directed to the human world. This does not mean to say that Teilhard limited himself to anthropology and physics. His fundamental orientation was “to attain heaven through the fulfillment of earth. Christify matter.” (ibid, Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, Footprints In A Darkened Forest, p. 73)

In his book, "Utopia: The Perennial Heresy," the eminent Catholic scholar and philosopher Thomas Molnar explains that evolution, whether Darwinian or a spiritual conception such as Teilhard's idea, serves as an imaginary mechanism of perfection for both man and the One Substance, an eternally existing or self-created substance which may for example, be a Universal Consciousness, Omega Point, or Divine Mind (mystical pantheism) or perhaps a spiritless physical substance (Greek Atomism, scientific materialism, Marx's dialectical matter).  Either way:

"Through evolution the world substance becomes progressively pure, homogenous and perfect until the terminal point is reached..."  (p.235)

At that point, there is either a perfected non-spiritual substance  or a perfectly spiritualized substance, the ultimate goal of Teilhard's alchemical great work.

Whether the substance is physical or spiritualized, all conceptions of the One Substance are expressions of monism.

Monism is held in common by materialism, mystical pantheism, and spiritualism and dates back to pagan antiquity and was or is taught by all non-biblical thought systems from Herme's esoteric magic formula, 'as above, so below,' to Buddhism,  Greek Epicureanism, pre-Christian and Christian era Gnosticism to Quantum Spirituality, Postmodern 'Christianity' and  New Age Cosmic Humanism.

Monism teaches that all things, including mankind, are merely diverse parts of the one-substance.  God is acceptable to this monistic frame of mind only if He is not something outside of and superior to the one-substance but rather immanent or one with it.  In other words, the substance of God must be dispersed throughout the whole substance, and since this divine substance permeates everything, including mankind, it becomes possible to evolve a God out of man.

The powerfully seductive Big Lie, "you can be as God," underlies both mystical pantheist New Age Cosmic Humanism and its' materialist counterpart, Secular Humanism.   This thought is expressed openly in the teachings of Swami Vivekananda , Dr. Beverly Galyean (leading exponent of occult New Age confluent education),  David Spangler and Emergent church leader Leonard Sweet:

"The Buddhists and the Jains do not depend on God; but the whole force of their religion is directed to the great central truth in every religion: to evolve a God out of man."  (Inspired Talks, Ramakrishna Vivekananda Center, 1958, p. 218)

"Once we begin to see that we are all God, that we have the attributes of God, then, I think the whole purpose of human life is to reown the Godlikeness within us...So my whole view is very much based on that idea."   (Galyean quoted by Francis Adeney, Educators Look East, Radix 12, No. 3, Nov-Dec. 1980, p. 21)

"As the energies of the Cosmic Christ become increasingly manifest within the etheric life of Earth, many individuals will begin to respond with the realization that the Christ dwells within them.."  ( “Wonderful Deception, Warren Smith, p. 122, citing David Spangler, The Revelation: Birth of a New Age, p. 177)

"The power of small groups is in their ability to develop the discipline to get people "in-phase" with the Christ consciousness and connected with one another." (Leonard Sweet, cited in "A Quantum Cosmic Christ," Herescope Blogspot, June 2012)

This same idea expressed in secular terms  such as self-realization and self-actualization (a term coined by Abraham Maslow), is a concept that underlies many contemporary psychotherapies.

In carefully couched terms, the  "Humanist Manifesto" (1973) also declares autonomous man's godhood:

"We affirm that moral values derive their source from human experience.  Ethics is autonomous and situational...life has meaning because we create and develop our futures."

The conclusion of both mystical pantheist Cosmic Spirituality and so-called 'scientific' Secular Humanism is the same: human beings can be as God and invent their own "ten commandments."

Another key point at which Cosmic and Secular Humanism intersect  is evolution.    Secular Humanism adopted the Gnostic myth of biological (Darwinian) evolution as an explanation both for the origin and development of life as well as for the perfecting of the one substance and mankind.  Cosmic Humanism springboards off of Darwinism into imaginary spiritual conceptions such as  Teilhard de Chardins' (1881-1955) idea.   The apostate French Jesuit priest  taught that God emerges from matter.  According to him, this evolution of God from the world results in evolution becoming "conscious of itself" and  ultimately, in the transformation  of all matter into "Christ consciousness" or "pure spirit." He called this final stage the "Omega Point" or "the cosmic Christ."

New Age  techniques to get in touch with the "Christ consciousness" include physical exercises, special diets (especially vegetarianism),  biofeedback, chanting, psychodrama, consciousness-raising strategies, hypnosis and self-hypnosis, centering, body disciplines and therapies such as hatha yoga and aikido as well as sensitivity groups and encounter groups, Zen, Tibetan Buddhism, drumming, mind-numbing rock music, brain-altering substances, and transcendental meditation.

Former guru Rabindranath R. Maharaj, now a committed follower of Jesus Christ, describes his former transcendental meditation ritual and its' terrifying outcome:

"Nothing was more important than our daily transcendental meditation, the heart of Yoga, which Krishna advocated as the surest way to eternal Bliss.  But it could also be dangerous.  Frightening psychic experiences awaited the...meditator, similar to a bad trip on drugs.  Demons described in the Vedas had been known to take possession of some Yogis.  Kundalini power, said to be coiled like a serpent at the base of the spine, could produce ecstatic experiences when released in deep meditation — or...it could do great mental and bodily harm.  The line between ecstasy and horror was very fine...During daily meditation I began to have visions of psychedelic colors, to hear  unearthly music, and to visit exotic planets where the gods conversed with me, encouraging me to attain even higher states of consciousness.   Sometimes in my trance I encountered the same horrible demonic creatures...depicted by the images in Hindu, Buddhist, Shinto, and other religious temples.  It was a frightful experience, but the Brahmacharya explained that it was normal and urged me to pursue the quest for Self Realization.   At times I experienced a sense of mystical unity with the universe.  I was the universe, Lord of all, omnipotent, omnipresent.  My instructors were excited at this.  I was obviously a chosen vessel, destined for early success in the search for union with Brahman.  The Forces that had guided my father were now guiding me."  (Death of a Guru, Rabindranath R. Maharaj, pp. 56-57)

In 2008, Herescope explained the views of Teilhard de Chardin, father of the modern New Age movement:

"Teilhard de Chardin's "Principle of Emergence" had to do with the consciousness of mankind breaking out collectively, creating an evolutionary convergence (a Noosphere built by spiritual formation) that would result in a "super-organism" of "collective mankind " (quotes from The Phenomenon of Man and The Future of Man). The term "emergent" itself is steeped in Teilhardian evolutionary ideology, and the modern New Age movement has popularized it to mean the manifestation of new examples of humanity's evolution towards this supposed collective consciousness."

"Teilhard also proposed an alternative eschatology, an '"eschatological' vision" in which "in order that the Kingdom of God may come..., it is necessary, as an essential physical condition, that the human Earth should already have attained the natural completion of its evolutionary growth... that the ultra-human perfection which neo-humanism envisages for Evolution will coincide in concrete terms with the crowning of the Incarnation awaited by all Christians" (The Future of Man, p. 280, which achieves "God all in everyone" The Phenomenon of Man, p. 310, italics in original)."

Over a period of decades, Teilhard's mystical pantheist theology has been incrementally incorporated into both the Roman Catholic and evangelical church.  The seeds planted by Teilhard took root in many apostate Christian theologians including Emergent church leader Leonard Sweet, were nurtured along by the Leadership Network, and have now come full bloom in the open:

"...Quantum Mystisicm ....is creating a Quantum Eschatology to deceive the church in these last days." (Herescope)

Herescope also reports that Sweet is associated with an organization called Second Billion,:

"...a downline networking global church growth group with an online Global Church Learning Center www.GCLC.tv where he is on the faculty. This group gives him a global outreach to train pastors in his Quantum Spirituality views. For example, in June 2008 He spoke at a Second Billion conference in Jarkarta, Indonesia to evangelical mission leaders."

On February 29, 2012,

"...the Second Billion organization issued “A Special Message From Dr. Ken Blanchard” e-mail. The e-mail included a 2-minute video to hear Blanchard's “heart and vision” in promoting a “World Leaders Conference.” Conference Speakers included: Tony Blair, Erwin McManus, Bill Hybels, Laurie Beth Jones, Henry Cloud, Craig Groeschel, and others. (See “What Is the World Leaders Conference?”FAQS and list of sponsors.)
Second Billion has the goal to “double the size of the global church.” Leadership Network’s megastar Leonard Sweet has played a key leadership role, especially at its Synergize! conferences. Second Billion is also connected with the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) at many levels, including shared personnel such as Sunday Adelaja and Jim Garlow.  An e-mail sent out 7/13/07 promoted the Dominionist ideal, “Be equipped to impact ‘seven spheres’ of society.” Sweet also co-authored Jesus Manifesto with Frank Viola, who has ties to the NAR.[li] Sweet has even published his own Bible version – The Voice Bible: Step Into the Story of Scripture –  where he employs narratives and poetry to tell Bible stories."

In one form or another, mystical pantheism is sweeping our nation.    In his book, "America's Schools: The Battleground for Freedom," Allen Quist warns that it is being taught in our schools:

"New Age religion is now aggressively being taught in our nation's public schools."  A model curriculum has been developed that "is clearly centered on pantheism."  "Much of what passes for environmental education and multiculturalism is really indoctrination in pantheistic/New Age theology.  The ACLU and other similar organizations have no objections to (pantheistic indoctrination).  It is only Christianity that these organizations object to."  (p. 51)

Pastor Larry DeBruyn  summed up the powerfully seductive quantum cosmic deception in his book Unshackled: Breaking Away from Seductive Spirituality:

"Emergent Christians like Leonard Sweet, who allow their worldview to be influenced by such spirituality, are being taken captive by philosophy and vain deceit.  The 'elements of the world' first enrapture and then capture their souls.  Like Judah who played the harlot with other gods, their fixation upon science seduces them into spiritual bondage. Captivation with the cosmos leads to being captured by the cosmos, the very “system” which Scripture informs us, “lies in the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19)." (Herescope)

In 1901, Herman Bavinck, a Christian theologian foresaw the raging spiritual warfare of our own time.  Temporally, it is being fought between the defenders of supernatural Christian theism and the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo and the promoters of ancient mystical pantheism, evolution and the Big Lie----all who are of one mind with the devil, the father of heresy and monism:

"Unless we are mistaken...the twentieth century...is to witness a gigantic conflict of spirits...More serious and fiercer than ever before, the conflict is between the old and the new worldview."

Dante's Inferno: Circle 6 for the Heresy of Materialism

Dante's Inferno categorically presents the different strata of sin. The concept of sin revolves around the rejection of God's Revelation and Christian virtues.

Circle 6  (Canto 10) is the place of torment for all who commit the sin of heresy in deference to "profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called" (1 Timothy 6:20).   Among the heretics are both the materialists of his own time as well as the Greek nature philosopher Epicurus (341-270 B.C.E).   While the common definition of materialism is love of pleasure, wealth, and things for example, the presence of Epicurus points to something far worse, something altogether sinister.

Epicurus was one of the important theorists in ancient Greek natural philosophy who taught that the universe is composed of physical atoms. Indian Buddhists such as Dharmakirti and others, also contributed to well-developed theories of atomism,  the idea that everything ultimately consists of aggregates of matter.  Reality, soul, and mind are nothing but matter in motion.

Atomism is metaphysical nihilism,

"... the theory that there are no objects (objects do not exist). This position has been held by philosophers such as Parmenides, Buddha, Advaita Vedantins, and perhaps Kant (according to some interpretations of his transcendental idealism). Blob theory can also be considered very closely aligned with mereological nihilism (there are no parts and wholes). Obviously if metaphysical nihilism is correct, empirical reality is an illusion." (What is Metaphysical Nihilism? OpenTopia.com)

What this means is that so radically has atomism banished God from nature that not only is there no ultimate source for life but none for man's 'self'---- his soul/spirit, the seat of his personhood:

Jesus to Buddha,   "You seek to solve the problem of suffering, and in order to solve it, you say that the self doesn't exist.....you took God away from them (and) your espousal of an absence of self is the most unique and fearsome claim you made...First, you told them there is no God. Then you told them there is no self.  You also told them there is no one to pray to.  You told them there is no evil one to fear. You told them everything is only within themselves, even though those selves do not exist."  (The Lotus and the Cross: Jesus Talks with Buddha, Ravi Zacharias, pp.59, 60, 67, 70)

Atomism set all things in unceasing, purposeless motion by reducing everything---including man, his soul, and even his thoughts---to mindless atoms perpetually colliding with each other in a void.  Man was reduced to a biological machine, mind (spirit) to brain, and thought to movement of chemicals and firing of neurons.  This view has changed very little:

"We are descended from robots, and composed of robots..."   --Daniel C. Dennett, Kinds of Minds

Plato was one of the most forceful and compelling critics of Atomism.  In Book X of Laws, he indicts  Atomists for reversing the natural order, which they did by placing non-life bearing matter before Nous (mind/soul), and for the reductionism that sets everything in motion and reduces man to a machine.

Plato foresees only misery, social disintegration and ultimately,

"...the ruin of both states and families" should Atomism become the accepted view."  (Darwin Day in America, John G. West, p. 6)

Though Christianity reared a mighty barrier against Atomism, it would be resurrected along with ancient esoteric doctrines during the Renaissance by among others, pantheist Giordano Bruno, Thomas Hobbs, Descartes, and Paracelsus.

With the source of man's humanity (mind/soul) expropriated by materialists and conferred upon "lifeless chemicals" "electricity" "phosphorous" and "blood," for example, a rush to discover the key that unlocks the mystery to life and mind was ignited which has been unleashing unspeakable evils ever since.

Believing that some type of electricity was the animating principle of machine-man, Giovanni Aldini performed macabre experiments on the decapitated heads of animals and once he had overcome his repugnance, on humans.  For his experiments, he procured the freshest specimens possible by placing himself,

"....under the scaffold, near the axe of justice..."   Rationalizing his horrible experiments by saying that only the, "unenlightened part of mankind (will be) apt to entertain a prejudice..."  Aldini applied electricity to various parts of decapitated human heads which produced "the most horrid grimaces (but the) action of the eyelids was exceedingly striking.."  (Darwin Day in America, p. 15)

Julien de la Mettrie (1709-51), Paul Henri Thiery, and Baron D'Holbach (1723-89) all agreed that the mind is the property of dead matter and man nothing but a machine.  La Mettrie speculated that machine-man's rational life is entirely determined by physical causes  running the gamut from raw meat, to climate, blood circulation, and gender.  Genetic inheritance, posits la Mettrie, causes machine-man to commit crime.  This view casts parents, and especially all traditionalists such as faithful Christians and Jews into the role of "first cause" and would later manifest itself in the belief that State ‘experts,'  or Hillary's "village" experts should have control of children.   (ibid, pp. 16-18)

Pierre Simon Laplace (1749-1827) viewed scientific materialism as not only the pursuit of God-like omniscience but of the Holy Grail itself---power to create a New Man.   If an intelligence could grasp "at a given instant...all the forces by which nature is animated" proclaimed Laplace, it could devise a mathematical formula that would predict everything that would ever happen, and "nothing would be uncertain, and the future, like the past, would be open to its eyes."  Scientists should reduce everything in the universe to mechanical laws that could be expressed in terms of mathematics, advised Laplace, for the promise of such knowledge was incredible power...even over life and mind itself.  (ibid, p. 20)

Herbert Spencer, Fechner, Lotze, Wundt, and the pantheist monist Ernst Haeckel, inventor of the scientism dictum---ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny---all agreed that life and mind are properties of dead matter.  Haeckel moreover imagined ether to be the primitive life-making substance which, as was the case with the primitive fire of the Stoics, changed one part of itself into inert mass while the other part became the active principle, spirit.  Today, many scientists routinely resort to Haeckel's postulate without ever inquiring into its pantheist implications.

Haeckel would later write,

"Pantheism teaches that God and the world are one...pantheism is...an advanced conception of nature (and) a polite form of atheism."  The truth of pantheism, confessed Haeckel, "lies in its destruction of the dualist antithesis of God..."  The godless world system being constructed, said Haeckel, "substantially agrees with the monism or pantheism of the modern scientist."  (Monism, Ernst Haeckel, www.pantheist.net/)

During the century to follow, Charles Darwin (1809-82)  helped spread materialism to the masses.   As Stephen Jay Gould argues,

"Darwin applied a consistent philosophy of materialism to his interpretation of nature, "and "the ground of all existence; mind, spirit, and God (are reduced to) neural complexity." (ibid, p. 41)

According to Darwin, natural selection and the laws of heredity acting on matter produced mind, morality, and civilization.  By describing how lifeless natural mechanisms caused the complexity of life to alchemically emerge from lifeless matter, Darwin helped transform materialism from a fantastically bizarre tale told by power-mad Prometheans on the fringe of society to a hallowed scientism principle enshrined and worshipped by modern scientism and ‘enlightened' Westerners and inadvertently by intellectually proud and weak priests who have supplanted the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo with Darwin's materialist theory.

It was during this time that Social Darwinism, Progressive Liberalism, Socialism, Communism, Nazism, Secular Humanism and Transhumanism were developed out of metaphysical materialism.  Classical Liberalism on the other hand, was subverted and corrupted by the materialist faith into what is now known as modern Liberalism.

Of these, Communism (Marx and Engel's dialectical materialism), is considered to be the most highly developed philosophy of materialism.  It rests on three fundamental metaphysical presuppositions:

1. Deified Matter: The Ultimate Substance which, though non-living, non-intelligent, and non-conscious, nevertheless somehow possesses the emergent properties of life, mind, consciousness, and soul.

2. Evolution: Since Marxist dialectic requires a theory with clashes (thesis and antithesis) and leaps (synthesis), Marxists have all but abandoned Darwinism and have instead embraced punctuated equilibrium:

"Many people confound dialectic with the theory of evolution," noted G. Plekhanov. "Dialectic is, in fact, a theory of evolution. But it differs profoundly from the vulgar (Darwinian) theory of evolution." (Fundamental Problems of Marxism, 1929, p. 145)

3. Spontaneous Generation: An offshoot of specifically Darwinian thought accepted unreservedly by Marxists as their dialectic requires a strictly materialist explanation for the origin of life from dead matter. In the words of M.A. Leonov:

"Marxist philosophical materialism remains beyond all doubt that at some time or other in the remote past, life must have arisen from non-living matter." (Outline of Dialectical Materialism, 1948, p. 494)

In a modified version of the Stoic conception of the earth as a living organism possessed of its own soul,  dialectical materialism declares that earth is "one entire organism...its organs the various races and nations of men."  Not only is the earth alive and evolving upward on evolution's magical escalator, but so too are history and society, for they also are living entities in a continuous state of motion.  And man?  In a modified conception of Atomism's dehumanizing view of man, dialectical materialism states that man is nothing but,

"...a colonial aggregation of cells," and to "consider him an individual would be an error."  Man---the aggregate of cells--- is nothing but an extension of society, history, and earth.  (Russian Textbook on Psychopolitics, Chapter II: The Constitution of Man as a Political Organism)

It was Marxist materialists who made the first attempt to scientifically re-engineer human beings after the fashion of Buddha's metaphysical nihilism said Vishal Mangalwadi, India's foremost Christian intellectual.  After seizing control of Russia, they utilized terroristic mind-conditioning techniques and re-education with emphasis on Darwinism as well as brain-altering drugs, electro-shock therapy, torture, and other brutal measures to,

"...liquidate all expressions of individual identity in favor of an impersonal collective, communal consciousness." (The Book that Made Your World, Mangalwadi,  p. 74)

Modern materialist states began by rejecting the living God of Revelation and man's soul/spirit, and then moved to deny immutable truth and objective standards of right and wrong.  They threw out sanctity of life and demonically reduced man to matter in motion.   The end case, in every instance, was to place absolute power over  "atomized masses" into the hands of psychopaths and autocratic states to be wielded without restraint or mercy.

Of all belief systems, the materialist faith has been by far the bloodiest.  In his book, Death by Government, R.J. Rummel comprehensively details the roughly 170 million people murdered by materialist governments during the 20th century.

From 1917 to its collapse in 1991, the Soviet Union liquidated about 62 million.  During Mao Tse-tung's reign, 35,236,000 were murdered.  Hitler's Nazi's killed 21 million.

Even at its mildest, as is thus far the case here in America, there is a steady level of confiscation, corruption, fraud, lying, propaganda, and stifling of freedoms and free speech.  For the first time ever, Americans are afraid of saying certain words.  Parents fear disciplining their own children.  To dissent against evolution is to become a social leper.   More ominously, America's Ruling Class materialists have banished the living God of Revelation, thrown out both sanctity of life and objective standards and are in process of undermining and destroying traditional marriage.   In their eyes,  "We the people" are atomized beings.   Totalitarianism and genocide loom just over our horizon.

As early as 1926, President Calvin Coolidge was aware of and deeply concerned by the insidious spread of scientific materialism in America.  As he knew, Americans are free only because of the Judeo-Christian foundation laid by the country's founders.  In a speech he delivered in Philadelphia, July 5, 1926 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Coolidge tried to call Americans back to their Judeo-Christian heritage.   He told them the Declaration's principles of liberty arise from man's God-given inalienable rights.  And these are found said Coolidge,

"...in the texts, the sermons, and the writings of the early colonial clergy..."  The clergy preached equality "because they believed in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man."  Sanctity of life, the right to self-defense, and all the rest of our individual liberties were justified "by the text that we are all created in the divine image, all partakers of the divine spirit."  God's children therefore, have no "superiors;" there are no modern-day "divine rights kings" who possess "any right to rule...over them."    (Back Fired, William Federer, pp. 269-271)

The Declaration said Coolidge,

"....is a great spiritual document."  Its principles are not material but spiritual.  "Equality, liberty, popular sovereignty, the rights of man---these are not elements we can see and touch.  They are ideals (whose) source and roots (are) in religious convictions.  They belong to the unseen world."

President Coolidge cautioned Americans that,

".....unless the faith of the Americans in these religious convictions is to endure, the principles of our Declaration will perish.  We can not continue to enjoy the result if we abandon the cause."

Coolidge ended his speech with a stark warning,

"We must not sink into a pagan materialism..."   (Back Fired, William Federer, pp. 269-271)

Heedless to Coolidge's warning, "we the people," whether outside the church or within it, have embraced the sin of materialism in the form of endless pleasure, wealth, status symbols, and so forth.   Stupefied by "pagan materialism" we have in effect ceded control of our children and our country to today's other heretics, America's materialist Ruling Class who, believing they are "enlightened" and "scientific,"  have unleashed misery, social disintegration and ultimately, as Plato foresaw, are bringing about "the ruin of both states and families."

Today's Atomists are leading America over the Gadarene Cliff.

In this light, we are able to understand why Dante placed both the materialists of his own time as well as the Greek nature philosopher Epicurus in the 6th circle of the inferno.
