Ecclesiastes: Things Reckoned New & Scientific by Evolutionists & Sophisticated Theologians Are Not So

In a 2012 editorial, "The Genesis Problem," New Scientist editors admit that physicists have been fighting a rearguard action against the Big Bang theory for decades, largely because they believe it has theological overtones. After all, if you have an instant of creation, don't you need a creator?   Adding fuel to anti-Big Bang anxieties are sophisticated theologians eager to embrace and conform the Word of God to evolutionary science.

Now however, if a "new" yet very ancient theory turns out to be true, the universe may not have started with a bang after all and Big Bang sophisticates from Pope Francis to Tim Keller, Francis Collins, Leonard Sweet and many others will be faced with ruin and disgrace.

In the new formulation, the universe was never a singularity, or an infinitely small and infinitely dense point of matter. In fact, the universe may have no beginning at all:

"Our theory suggests that the age of the universe could be infinite," said study co-author Saurya Das, a theoretical physicist at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.  (Big Bang, Deflated? Universe May Have Had No Beginning, Yahoo US, March 2, 2015)

The idea that the evolving universe of matter and psychic energy (the Divine One Substance) has always existed is a common thread running through ancient Chaldea, Egypt, Greece, and Rome in the West to mystical pantheist philosophies in the East and Mormonism in America.

Joseph Smith taught that matter (the One Substance) is eternal and the Mormon God Elohim had no power to create out of nothing. Elohim merely reorganized the already present elements of the One Substance (aka Void, Brahman, Quantum Void), which have no beginning or end and cannot be destroyed:

"Since Mormons believe that the elements are eternal, it follows that they deny the ex nihilo creation." (Encyclopedia of Mormonism 1:400).

Like a dog returning to its own vomit, modern evolutionary physicists are returning to the ancient Godless cosmogony espoused by Mystery Religion Babylon, mystical Cabbalism, Gnosticism, the Essenes, Egyptians, and other occult traditions and sciences.

For example, with the Egyptians' self-created Sun-God Ra, the eternally existing divine abyss or One Substance out of which he evolved is Nu — or Joseph Smith's primordial matter:

"I came into being from primordial matter...I made all the forms under which I appeared by means of (or out of) the god-soul which I raised up out of Nu (i.e., the primeval abyss of water.) (The Long War Against God, Dr. Henry Morris, p. 243)

The godless cosmogony of Kabala teaches the gradual condensation or evolutionary progression of an eternally existing primal psychic substance (the One Substance) emanating into visible matter.  This is a fundamental,

"... doctrine of the Cabala (and) is the ancient Semitic conception of the ‘primal ocean,’ known to the Babylonians as ‘Apsu’ and called by the Gnostics βύθος =  (Anz, ‘Die Frage nach dem Ursprung des Gnostizismus,’ p. 98).

Like its’ Egyptian Hermetic counterpart, Kabala implies a process of emergent evolutionary transformation of one kind into another kind (macroevolution) from out of an eternally existing primal psychic substance:

“...the older Enoch book (gives) a fuller insight into the "Merkabah" and "Bereshit" lore of the ancients than the "Hekalot," which present but fragments, while the central figure of the Cabala, Meṭaṭron-Enoch, is seen in ch. lxx.-lxxi. in a process of transformation.” (Cabala, Jewish Encyclopedia)

The Kabalah is the key to the occult sciences; and the Gnostics were born of the Kabalists.” (Occult Mason Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma, p. 626)

According to Helena Blavatsky, one of the key architects of Luciferian New Age pantheism, Kabalah derived,

“.... from the older secret doctrines concerning divine things and cosmogony, which were combined into a theology after the time of the captivity of the Jews in Babylon. All the works that fall under the esoteric category are termed Kabalistic.” (Blavatsky, Theosophical Glossary, p. 168)

The Chaldean occult science and pagan Mystery Religion was embraced by apostate Jews during their captivity in Babylon and delivered to subsequent generations of Mystery Religion initiates by word of mouth. According to Blavatsky, these initiates of the Chaldean tradition in the centuries before Christ were known as Tanaim:

"The kabalist is a student of ‘secret science’, one who interprets the hidden meaning of the Scriptures with the help of the symbolical Kabala… The Tanaim were the first kabalists among the Jews; they appeared at Jerusalem about the beginning of the third century before the Christian era… This secret doctrine is identical with the Persian wisdom, or ‘magic’.” (Ibid. p.167)

The Essenes were also associated with the Kabala. The Jewish Encyclopedia describes the cabalistic practices of the Essenes, which were Judaized elements of Eastern mystical traditions:

So, too, were the Essenes familiar with the idea of the journey to heaven…and they were also masters of angelology. The practice of magic and incantation, the angelology and demonology, were borrowed from Babylonia, Persia, and Egypt; but these foreign elements were Judaized in the process, and took the form of the mystical adoration of the name of God and of speculations regarding the mysterious power of the Hebrew alphabet …, ‘the name of God creates and destroys worlds’, to become, finally, foundations of the philosophy of the ‘Sefer Yetzirah."  (Cabala, Jewish Encyclopedia)

According to Blavatsky the Essenes were pagan priests of the Greek goddess, Diana of Ephesus, where the Tanaim had established a college for instruction in the Chaldean mystery religion:

Essenes... had many Buddhistic ideas and practices; and it is noteworthy that the priests of the Great Mother at Ephesus, Diana-Bhavani with many breasts, were also denominated... It was at Ephesus where was the great College of the Essenes and all the lore the Tanaim had brought from the Chaldees... Essenes, believed in reincarnation.” (Theosophical Glossary, pp. 113-14; The Secret Doctrine, Vol. II, p. 111n)

Eventually Alexandria, Egypt became the epicenter of cosmological and pagan religious ideas as well as the intellectual meeting point between Greek Mystery Religion/Hermetic magic initiates and nature sages and guardians of Kabala.  After the fall of Jerusalem, Alexandria was the center from which occult pagan Jews would disguise their mystery tradition in Christian terminology and attempt to penetrate the fledgling Church with heresy.

One of the primary tactics employed by Cabbalist pagan Jews for this purpose is the same one employed by their modern evolutionary theist counterparts.   It involves the reduction of the Genesis account, particularly the first three books, to allegory and myth, a ploy that eliminates the physical Adam from which all people descended and the sin that he transferred to the rest of the human race. This strikes directly at the heart of the Gospel: the need for the ‘last Adam’ to provide for us an escape from the wrath of God against sin incurred by the first Adam.  In this way, not only is the work of Christ on the cross rendered superfluous, meaning the heart of the faith is ripped out, but God is made responsible for sin and evil. (1 Peter 3:18-22; 1 John 2:22)

Long ago, the teachings of some of the early Church Fathers regarding the apostasy toward the end of the church age predicted the reappearance of this evil tactic. The fathers categorized it a Gnostic pagan heresy.

In "Heresies 6.10" Hippolytus writes that the Gnostic pagan Simon Magus feigned faith and allegorized much of Scripture, especially Genesis, to support his evolutionary Hermetic and Gnostic occult pantheist teachings.   Church Fathers Ireneaus, Tertullian and Clement of Alexandria reveal that Gnostic cult leader Marcion rejected the Old Testament, taught that the God of the Old Testament and his prophets are evil, made God the author of sin and removed all references that Christ was Creator (John 1:1)   (Ireneaus, "Against Heresies 1.26, 5.1," Tertullian "Against Marcion 2.17," Clement of Alexandria, "Against Heresies 4.29)

Delusion

As it turns out, things reckoned new and scientific by deluded modern physicists and sophisticated theologians are not so; they were known and in use in ages past:

"That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, "See this, it is new "? Already it has existed for ages Which were before us. There is no remembrance of earlier things..."  Ecclesiastes 1: 9-11

Evolutionary Cosmologies: Religious Endeavor to become like God

Throughout the de-Christianized West and America neo-pagan and mystical pantheist evolutionary reasoning is taken for granted throughout the college curriculum, just as it is in all aspects of modern thought and experience.  It not only undergirds biological and earth sciences, but also Freudian and Jungian psychology, anthropology, law, sociology, politics, economics, the media, arts, medicine, and all other academic---and increasingly seminarian---disciplines as well. The West's amoral transnational elite Gnostics, the "chosen" ones, are particularly enamored of evolutionary reasoning:

"Western cultural elites have disregarded God for more than two centuries, but for a while the effects were mostly confined to their own circles. At first, they disregarded God. Then they deliberately desecrated Western tradition and lived in ways that would have spelled disaster if they had been followed more closely. But now in the early twenty-first century, their movement from disregard to desecration to decadence is going mainstream, and the United States is only the lead society among those close to the tipping point.... Soon, as the legalization and then normalization of polyamory, polygamy, pedophilia and incest follow the same logic as that of abortion and homosexuality, the socially destructive consequences of these trends will reverberate throughout society until social chaos is beyond recovery. We can only pray there will be a return to God and sanity before the terrible sentence is pronounced: "God has given them over" to the consequences of their own settled choices."  (Renaissance: The Power of the Gospel However Dark the Times, Os Guinness, p. 20)

Evolution: what is it?

"Evolution has always been a fundamentally spiritual concept.  In fact, some of the first thinkers to seriously explore the topic---the German Idealists of the early 19th century---were mystic philosophers who predated Darwin's Origin of Species by at least a century."  (A Brief History of Evolutionary Spirituality, Tom Huston)

Rene Guenon (1886-1951) concurs.  Guenon was a French metaphysician, writer, and editor who was largely responsible for laying the metaphysical groundwork for the Traditionalist or Perennialist school of thought in the early twentieth century.   In his brilliant critical analysis of Theosophy and Spiritism entitled, "The Spiritist Fallacy"  Guenon investigates and exposes the satanic esotericism working through various modern Western secret societies to pervert true religion---orthodox Christianity in particular--- in order to ultimately turn the world over to Luciferian forces.

Guenon reveals that in early Theosophist and spiritist circles use of the word 'progress' or 'progressivist' preceded the use of the word 'evolution.' The roots of Theosophy, hence of evolution--the universal life force--stretch back to the ancient Upanishads of India in the East and in the West to ancient Babylon, Egypt and Greece.  In its modern version, progress, transformism, and/or evolution describes the progress (transmigration) of soul made possible by the life force as it inhabits in succession the bodies of different kinds of beings over the course of thousands or even millions and billions of years.

Eventually the word evolution became preferred, especially by empirical realists and materialists like Karl Marx because it had a more 'scientific' allure:

"This kind of 'verbalism'...provides the illusion of thought for those incapable of really thinking..."  (ibid, p. 231)

Evolution is an ancient occult doctrine originating in ancient Babylonian Cabbala, Egyptian Hermetic magic and Mystery Religion traditions both East and West from the time of Babylon---the mother of all Mystery Religions---that entered Christendom during the Renaissance.  In "God and the Knowledge of Reality," the Catholic philosopher and historian, Thomas Molnar (1921–2010), reveals that certain Christian theologians, mystics and scholars such as Emanuel Swedenborg had discovered Hermetic magic and occult Jewish Cabbala texts which they studied and translated resulting in Hermetic Cabbala. Then like Pico della Mirandola, they argued that Hermetic Cabbala--- the divine occult science or Magic Way of reaching divine status and powers through initiation, evolution (progress), and ritual procedures is the best proof of the divinity of Christ. In other words said Molnar,

".....by the time of the Renaissance the esoteric texts of the first centuries A.D. had acquired in scholarly and humanist circles an unparalleled prestige, confronting as equals the texts held sacred by the church. In Pico's estimation, 'nulla est scientia que nos magis certificet de divinitate Christ quam magia et Cabala' (there is no science that would prove for us Christ's divinity better than magic and the Cabala.)" (pp. 78-79)

That Hermetic magic and Babylonian Cabbala are ancient Mystery Religion traditions undergirded by evolution is affirmed by G. H. Pember in his classic work, "Earth's Earliest Ages."    In his impeccably researched book Pember thoroughly examines the role of fallen angels in connection with the occult science they taught to pre-flood generations and compares them to the explosion of spiritism (open intercourse with evil spirits), astrology, the Mysteries and other occult traditions sweeping over Christendom.

Pember writes that the Mysteries are no longer veiled in mystery but boldly presented by the powerful occult progressive brotherhood that emerged out of the Renaissance as the fruit of modern science, especially evolutionary philosophy, which the brotherhood assert was included in the instructions given,

"...to the initiates of the Hermetic, Orphic, Eleusinian, and Cabbalistic mysteries, and were familiar to Chaldean Magi, Egyptian Priests, Hindu Occultists, Essenes, Therapeutae Gnostics, and Theurgic Neo-Platonists." (Pember, pp.243-244)

Today, evolutionary dynamics and science as the instrument of the will of sovereign man has so thoroughly replaced the personal Creator in the consciousness of vast numbers of secularized Westerners, both within and without the whole body of the Christian Church, that one of the leading evolution-worshippers of our day, Professor S.J. Gould, goes so far as to describe evolutionary biology as the story of mankind.  Evolution:

“....tells us where we came from, how we got here, and perhaps where we are going. Quite simply, it is science’s version of Roots, except it is the story of us all.”   (The Religious Nature of Evolution Theory and its Attack on Christianity, John G. Leslie and Charles K. Pallaghy, Ph.D., creation.com)

In fascinated affirmation, Theodosius Dobzhansky (1900-1975) , a prominent evolutionary biologist and progressive creationist, sees evolution as a light that illuminates all facts, a trajectory which all lines of thought must follow, for if man,

“...has arrived at his present state as a result of natural processes rather than a supernatural will, he can learn to control these processes…The concept of evolution, which is now basic to the life sciences, has provided new and in some ways revolutionary answers to questions men have been asking for centuries. The two most important of these are, ‘Why am I here, what is the purpose of human existence, and what is the nature of the world of life that surrounds us?”   (Dobzhansky, T., Ayala, F.J., Stebbins, G.L. and Valentine, J.W., Evolution, W.H. Freeman and Co., San Francisco, 1977)

The most widely held evolutionary cosmology, or model of the universe's beginning and development is the Big Bang theory.   According to this version of the “story of us all” the universe is thought to have 'exploded' from a 'cosmic egg,' sometimes called the ylem in a universe bounded by an edge.  The Encyclopedia Britannica notes that the big bang is a theory,

"...of the evolution of the universe.  Its’ essential feature is the emergence of the universe from a state of extremely high temperature and density---the so-called big bang that occurred at least 10,000,000,000 years ago....."(Big Bang Model, The New Encyclopedia Britannica, 15th edition, 2:205, 1992)

The big bang is based on two assumptions:

"The first is that Einstein's general theory of relativity describes the gravitational attraction of all matter.  The second assumption, called the cosmological principle, states that the observer's point of view of the universe depends neither on the direction in which he looks nor on his location.  This principle applies only to the large scale properties of the universe, but it does imply that the universe has no edge, so that the big bang occurred not at a particular point in space but rather throughout space at the same time.  These two assumptions make it possible to calculate the history of the cosmos after a certain epoch called the Planck time.  Scientists have yet to determine what prevailed before Planck time."    (ibid)

Distinctions are in order here. While the first assumption qualifies as true science, the second assumption, sometimes misnamed the Copernican Principle, does not since it is completely metaphysical, or philosophical.  This is illustrated by Edwin Hubble (1889-1953) who discovered that distant objects appeared to have 'red shifts' approximately proportional to distance from earth. Hubble's speculative interpretation of this discovery presented it as evidence of an expanding universe without a center and without an edge (unbounded) as opposed to Hugh Ross, the popularizer of progressive creationism whose own imaginative assumption pictures everything exploding from a central point in a universe bounded by an edge. (Refuting Compromise: A Biblical and Scientific Refutation of 'Progressive Creationism' as Popularized by Astronomer Hugh Ross, Jonathan Sarfati, Ph.D., F.M., p. 146-147)

Ross’s brand of evolutionary Christianity is wildly popular among certain Christians.  It was as a teenager that Ross decided the non-biblical big bang was a fact, thus it is the foundation stone of his twisted Scriptures---twisted because his big bang assumptions lead him to trip, stumble and fall down evolution’s downward-spiraling vortex blurring distinctions between humans and animals as he goes. (ibid)

The Big Bang is devoid of experimental proof, yet because the universe is definitely running down this fact surely points to some kind of beginning. This is apparently why some Christian leaders--theistic evolutionists and progressive creationists such as Pope Francis, Hugh Ross, Tim Keller and many others who feel we simply have to accept the evolutionists' billions of years--- have decided to accept the Big Bang theory. After all, the Big Bang requires a beginning, and they feel this fits with the Bible.  (Big Bang -- The Bucks Stop There, Henry Morris, Ph.D., icr.org)

However, not only does the Big Bang---or any other evolutionary cosmology---- not fit into the Bible but it also turns the Creator, Jesus Christ, into a liar, for He said that Adam and Eve were there "from the beginning of the creation" (Mark 10: 6; Gen. 1: 26-27) rather than several billion years after the beginning of the creation as evolutionary speculators hold.

As the Nicene Creed affirms, Gods Word starts with the creation of absolutely everything visible and invisible ex nihilo in the space of six days.  In his "Literal interpretation of Genesis" Augustine of Hippo notes that when God brought material reality into existence, "then time began its flight." That is, when God created material things (the visible), at the same time He created space and time (the invisible) as their context.  (Creator and Creature, Douglas F. Kelly, Table Talk: Biblical Dichotomies, p. 6)

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh (matter) is no help at all" John 6:63

The Triune God brought the angels into being sometime during that first creative week and as Thomas Aquinas, one of the most respected theologians of the medieval church affirms,

"Nothing entirely new was afterwards made by God, but all things subsequently made had in a sense been made before in the work of the six days.  Some things...had a previous experience materially, as the rib from the side of Adam out of which God formed Eve; whilst others existed not only in matter but also in their causes, as those individual creatures that are now generated existed in the first of their kind."   (Summa Theologica, ibid, Sarfati, p. 120)

Evolutionary Cosmologies: Imaginative Assumptions

George Francis Rayner Ellis, a high-profile evolutionary cosmologist lets the cat out of the bag with his candid confession regarding the important role of imaginative assumptions with respect to the broad range of evolutionary models of the universe such as the Big Bang. Ellis admits:

"...I can construct...a spherically symmetrical universe with earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations."   "You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds.  In my view there is absolutely nothing wrong in that.   What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models.  A lot of cosmology tries to hide that."  (ibid, Jonathan Sarfati)

In other words, the Authority and Revelation of God, particularly in His six day creation account is rejected a priori not on the grounds of observational science but on the philosophical assumptions of arrogant, defiant speculators whose imaginative evolutionary models are metaphysical projects pretending to be observational science.

Another unspoken Big Bang assumption is neo-pagan and mystical pantheist naturalism, which ought to ring alarm bells for faithful, orthodox Christians.   Naturalism posits that the universe and everything in it, including conscious life, is the result of entirely natural processes.  The Big Bang therefore, is a neo-pagan and occult pantheist evolutionary cosmology, an esoteric program from hell that rejects both the personal Creator and the supernatural dimension.  This position holds true despite the uninformed claims of speculators like Hugh Ross who claim that God created and ignited the Big Bang.

While Pope Francis, Tim Keller and many other liberal revisionists embrace and endorse Big Bang cosmology thirty-three leading evolutionary scientists expose its frauds and fallacies in ‘Open Letter to the Scientific Community’ published on the internet (www.cosmologystatement.org) and in New Scientist (Lerner, E., Bucking the big bang, New Scientist 182 (2448) 20, 22 May 2004).  According to these evolutionary scientists:

"Our ideas about the history of the universe are dominated by big bang theory. But its dominance rests more on funding decisions than on the scientific method, according to Eric Lerner, mathematician Michael Ibison of Earthtech.org, and dozens of other scientists from around the world." (Secular scientists blast the big bang: What now for naïve apologetics? Carl Wieland, creation.com)

The open letter includes statements such as:

1. "The big bang…relies on a growing number of hypothetical entities, things that we have never observed—inflation, dark matter and dark energy are the most prominent examples. Without them, there would be a fatal contradiction between the observations made by astronomers and the predictions of the big bang theory.’

2. "But the big bang theory can’t survive without these fudge factors. Without the hypothetical inflation field, the big bang does not predict the smooth, isotropic cosmic background radiation that is observed, because there would be no way for parts of the universe that are now more than a few degrees away in the sky to come to the same temperature and thus emit the same amount of microwave radiation. … Inflation requires a density 20 times larger than that implied by big bang nucleosynthesis, the theory’s explanation of the origin of the light elements.”

3. "In no other field of physics would this continual recourse to new hypothetical objects be accepted as a way of bridging the gap between theory and observation. It would, at the least, raise serious questions about the validity of the underlying theory."

4."What is more, the big bang theory can boast of no quantitative predictions that have subsequently been validated by observation. The successes claimed by the theory’s supporters consist of its ability to retrospectively fit observations with a steadily increasing array of adjustable parameters, just as the old Earth-centred cosmology of Ptolemy needed layer upon layer of epicycles." (ibid, Carl Wieland)

It’s amazing to see how many Christian leaders have not merely succumbed to the ‘big bang’ idea, but embrace it wholeheartedly.  Carl Wieland comments:

"To hear their pronouncements, believers should welcome it as a major plank in our defense of the faith. ‘At last, we can use science to prove there’s a creator of the universe.’ However, the price of succumbing to the lure of secular acceptability, at least in physics and astronomy, has been heavy. We have long warned that adopting the big bang into Christian thought is like bringing the wooden horse within the walls of Troy."

The Big Bang model is not the only game in town.  Among other imaginative models there is the quasi-steady-state model of the big bang antagonist, the late Sir Fred Hoyle.  Then there is the ekpyrotic model positing that our universe is a four-dimensional membrane embedded in a five-dimensional ‘bulk’ space.  Its proponents admit:

“Our proposal is based on unproven ideas in string theory and is brand new.” (ibid, Sarfati, p. 182)

Then there are the openly occult multiverse models proposing that our universe is not the only one but that space is filled with an infinite number of parallel universes.  Royal Astronomer Lord Martin Rees, who holds the honorary title of Astronomer Royal champions multiverse conceptions in the hope that in at least one or more of them living beings created themselves who are far more advanced than our own life-forms. Rees believes that if this is the case, then super-intelligent aliens might be capable of simulating in their brains or in a super-computer the complex history of our universe, meaning the universe we inhabit is a simulation lacking real substance and existing only as a mental construction in the minds of highly evolved aliens who seeded our world with life and travel through time in order to control man's evolutionary progress. (Scientific Mythologies, James A. Herrick, p. 216)

The idea that the universe we inhabit exists only as a mental construction is very similar to Hinduism's Brahman. Brahman is the Great Cosmic Spirit – the Ultimate One Substance (energy field, Void, Essence, prakriti matter) of material phenomena, meaning that the universe exists only as a mental construction in the mind of Brahman: brahma satyam jagan mithya, or "Brahman is real, the world is unreal." (swamij.com/mahavakyas)

Rees proposal is also similar to the fanciful hypothesis presented by Olaf Stapledon, a scientist who has always kept one foot firmly planted in neo-pagan and occult pantheist science fiction accounts and imagines our universe to be an artifact of the Star Maker. Building off of Stapledons fantasy Carl Sagan suggests that we are "star folk" made of "star stuff." (Herrick, pp. 216-217)

Replace Star Maker with Brahman and "star stuff" with sarvam khalvidam brahma, or "All is truly Brahman" (swamij.com) and we have ayam atma brahmam: "The Self is Brahman." (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.4.5

In the caption of his book, "Just Six Numbers," Rees reveals that the ancient occult basis of his proposition is the serpent biting its tail:

"The ouraboros. There are links between the microworld of particles, nuclei and atoms and the cosmos." (Rees M., Just Six Numbers, P. 9)

The serpent-powered Ouroboros with its astral planes or multiverses is well-known around the world in its' many ancient and modern occult traditions.

Evolutionary Cosmologies:  Abominations that Desolate

Like witless moths mesmerized by strange fire, from the Renaissance to our own time liberalized Christian theologians situated within the whole body of the Christian Church have been drawn irresistibly to evolution.   Followed by countless unwitting souls, they’ve been flying into an abomination that desolates and ejects them into a downward-spiraling vortex issuing into eternal hell unless they repent and turn back to the Truth, the Way, and the Life (John 14:6).

Evolutionary Cosmologies: The Significance

Today’s broad range of evolutionary cosmologies symbolize the deep religious desires of certain men, who in their rejection of our Lord Jesus Christ and physical resurrection, seek autonomous self-creation, transcendence and self-redemption, thus are incarnations,

“….of the ancient, deeply religious endeavor ‘to become like God’--- infinitely wise, omnipotent, autonomous, and immortal.” (Mircea Eliade, “The Forge and the Crucible: The Origins and Structures of Alchemy,” Dr. Erdmann)

They endeavor to become like God but shall instead,

“…drink of the wine of the wrath of God and be tormented with fire and brimstone.” (Rev. 14:10)  And the devil who deceived them shall likewise be “thrown into the lake of burning sulfur…” (Rev. 20:10)

The Occult Worldview of Satan

The idea that man can become God was first whispered in Eve’s ear by Satan, the father of the occult worldview, that is, the evolving universe of matter and energy.  In condensed form it began when the Devil lied to mankind's first parents, saying "You will surely not die," "Your eyes will be opened," and "You will be like God," "knowing good and evil." (Gen. 3:4,5)

Respectively, these lies suggest that man will live forever even if he rebels against the commands of the Triune God; that  by his own innate powers he can discover secret enlightenment revelatory of both his true identity as God and the knowledge of the universe of evolving matter and psychic energies; that by self-will and rebellion against God he can, by way of magic and help from spirits, become godlike and gain forbidden psychic powers; and finally, that a condition of self-control and moral purity is counterproductive since only personal experiences and final transcendence of good and evil will make him like God.

From the pre-flood world to the post-flood world of Ham and Nimrod on through to our own time, the basic foundations of the occult worldview consistently teach the following elements:

1. Monism and evolution:  Though there are different forms of monism the common denominator of them all is the idea that the universe and everything in it consists of or is reducible to one substance in process of evolution.  In direct contrast to the Biblical teaching that though men are made in the spiritual image of God they do not partake of God's being (Gen. 1:27), with Darwinism for instance, God, mind, and spirit are reducible to one substance: matter in the form of the neural complexity of the brain, meaning that divine consciousness (God reduced to psychic energy) operates within the neural complexity of man's brain.  So God is within the brain of man:

Since the unconscious is God all along, we may further define the goal of spiritual growth to be the attainment of godhood by the conscious self.” (A Different Drum, M. Scott Peck)

Mystical forms of monism characteristically accept some form of pantheism, exemplified by for example, Teilhard de Chardin'sAdvaita Hindu pantheist New Religion and Leonard Sweet's Quantum Spirituality based in Teilhard's conceptions.  Advaita (monistic) Hinduism teaches the one ultimate reality of which everything consists is Nirguna Brahman (an impersonal God-force or Void) while Teilhard's system reduces everything to Omega---his version of Brahman.

It is the monistic premise of both Darwinism and mystical occult monism that makes them fundamentally anti-Christian.  In Dr. Gary North's excellent evaluation of monism, "Unholy Spirits: Occultism and New Age Humanism," North writes that,

"...there is a permanent, unbridgeable gap between the ultimate being of God and the derivative being of creatures.  There is a Creator-creature distinction (meaning that) men do not partake of God's being...they are not of the same substance as God.  There is no more fundamental doctrine than this one.  Significantly, in every form of occultism this principle is denied....Satan's old temptation to man hinges on his denial and man's denial of the Creator-creature distinction..."  (pp. 59-61)

2. God is ultimately impersonaland one with nature as opposed to God as wholly 'other' (supernatural), personal and loving (John 3:16)

3. Man's true identity is God since he is one with (shares) God's being as opposed to man created in God's spiritual image though not sharing the being of God. (Gen. 1:27)

4. Since there is only one substance, then evil is in harmony with the amoral god-substance or force.  In contrast, Scripture teaches that evil operates in opposition to God's holy nature (1 Peter 1:14, 15; 3:12)

5. Gnostic illumination or enlightenment (salvation) is achieved through self-realization (awareness of personal divinity) by various occult spiritist practices, i.e., séances, spells, automatic writing, meditation, hypnosis, Ouija boards, shamanic drumming, Kundalini yoga, visualization, mind-altering drugs, transformational festivals, trance music and centering.

Occult salvation is the antithesis of salvation based on the atonement (Christ's suffering and death for sin) and received as a free gift by grace through faith in God and Christ (John 3:16; 5:24; 6:47; 17:3)

6. Psychic or spiritual powers resulting from initiation into occult spiritist practices (see above) that open the mind, or third eye according to occult lore, to contact with and even possession by aggressively hostile spirits and are often used for personal power.   In contrast, Scripture teaches that spiritual gifts are distinct from and work in opposition to occult psychic powers.  They are given by God to His people for service to others ( 1 Cor. 12:4-11; 14:3)

7. Eternal cyclic incarnation into different bodies over thousands or millions of years or reabsorption (annihilation and/or personal extinction) into the impersonal substance.   In opposition, Scripture teaches personal immortality in either eternal heaven or hell (Matthew 25:46)

In monism, whether Darwinian or mystical occult versions, the traditional Western Judeo-Christian ways of thinking and perceiving are rejected because "all is one,"  This means there is no ultimate distinction between Jesus Christ and Satan, male and female, true and false, good and evil, moral and immoral, bent and straight, holy and unholy, or right and wrong because "true reality" (the one substance) is beyond the illusory categories associated with the natural (physical) world. In other words, murder, genocide, rape, lesbianism, sodomy, pederasty, pedophilia, lying, cheating and theft cannot be considered evil if evil itself is in harmony with the divine one substance.

While nothing can really be considered evil, nor can anything really be considered good.  So love, honesty, integrity, courage, fidelity, and commitment cannot be considered good and worthy for the same reason evil cannot be considered evil.

Finally, there is no such thing as personhood (genuine personality)  because true reality (the one substance) is not personal.  In other words, because the One God in three Persons who made all men in His spiritual image, thereby endowing all men with genuine personality (personhood) is an illusion, then so are ideas of personhood and unalienable rights from the living, personal God.  In fact, since personality is supposedly a hindrance to occult spiritual enlightenment, it must be destroyed.

The occult worldview of Satan has been with us from the pre-flood days of Noah.  Today its' most highly developed forms are Wicca and Advaita Hinduism and derivatives such as the occult New Age spirituality overspreading the West and America and penetrating into the whole body of the Christian church.

The 'God' of New Age Mystery Religion

In "The Aquarian Conspiracy," a book that has been called 'the New Age Bible,' Marilyn Ferguson (1938-2008) enthusiastically reports that a great, shuddering irrevocable shift in consciousness is overtaking us,

"It is a new mind, a turnabout in consciousness in critical numbers of individuals, a network powerful enough to bring about radical change in our culture.   This network....has already enlisted the minds, hearts and resources of some of our most advanced thinkers, including Nobel laureate scientists, philosophers, statesmen, celebrities....who are working to create a different kind of society...The technologies for expanding and transforming personal consciousness, once the secret of an elite, are now generating massive change in every cultural institution---medicine, politics, business, education, religion and the family."   (America: The Sorcerer's New Apprentice, Hunt & McMahon, p. 34)

Ferguson lists a number of these consciousness altering techniques:

".....Meditation, Self-Hypnosis, Focusing, Centering, Guided Imagery, Visualization, Transcendental Meditation, Yoga, Biofeedback, Dianetics, Silva Mind Control..."  (America: Sorcerer's New Apprentice, p. 43)

Among other techniques for getting in touch with the "Christ consciousness" inner “Light,”  the "Force," seething energy of Lucifer or the angel (Lucifer) are strenuous physical exercises, special diets (especially vegetarianism), Kundalini yoga, brain-altering drugs, trance music, mind science, chanting, psychodrama, consciousness-raising strategies, hypnosis and self-hypnosis, body disciplines and therapies such as hatha yoga and aikido as well as sensitivity groups and encounter groups, Zen, Tibetan Buddhism and transcendental meditation and yoga.

The altered state of consciousness by which a man enters into communion with intelligent beings of the unseen world is called "opening of the senses" in Scripture:

"Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand."  (Numbers 22:31, also see 2 Kings 6:17; Luke 24:16-31)

According to the Watchman Expositor, hypnosis is linked to ancient religious practices and eastern mystical experiences, involving similar trance states or altered states of consciousness. Such altered states are essential to such practices as out-of-body experiences, astral projection, and Yoga. William Kroger, M.D. and William Fezler Ph.D. maintain that,

"...hypnosis has been practiced in one form or another in the civilized and uncivilized world under many different labels since the dawn of history."  (Hypnosis, James K. Walker, watchman.org)

They further note that historically elements of hypnosis have been an integral part of pagan religious practices and world religions including Assyro-Babylonian exorcism, Egyptian soothsaying, Jewish mysticism, Chinese Taoism , Sufism, Hinduism, Shintoism, forms of Buddhism (Tibetan and Zen), and Yoga. (Hypnosis and Behavior Modification, pp. 6-8; ibid).

In  'Recognitions'  church father Clement records an evil deed of the Gnostic pagan magician Simon that bears a striking resemblance to the effects of modern psycho-technologies.   Clement reports that Simon had begun to commit murder by inducing a child to experience an out of body situation.  By way of mesmerizing,

"...abominable incantations he separated the soul of a child from its own body, that it might become his assistant for the production of whatever apparition he might require.  And he drew a likeness of the boy, and keeps it set up in the inner chamber where he sleeps, affirming that he...formed him of air by transformations such as the gods cause..." (Earth's Earliest Ages, G.H. Pember, p. 181)

In his interpretation of this dark passage, G.H. Pember concluded,

"...by mesmerism Simon had drawn out the spirit of the boy into a higher...state, and then omitted to recall it, so that the spirit had finally separated from the body; and that he had done this for the purpose of procuring a (spirit) familiar....Simon....denied the murder of the boy by asserting that he had merely resolved a spirit-form which he had himself produced." (p. 182)

In his 'Apology'  church father Tertullian writes that if magicians can produce apparitions, bring into evil repute the spirits of men who are dead,

"....mesmerize boys to obtain an oracular response...perform many wonders...by their conjuring illusions; send dreams by the aiding power of angels and demons whom they have...summoned to their assistance; through whose influence also goats and tables have been made to divine; how much more will that Satanic power be zealous to do with all its strength, of its own will, and for its own purposes, that which it does to serve the ends of others." (Pember, pp. 184-185)

Former guru Rabindranath R. Maharaj, now a committed follower of Jesus Christ, describes his former meditation ritual and its' terrifying consequences:

"Nothing was more important than our daily transcendental meditation, the heart of Yoga, which Krishna advocated as the surest way to eternal Bliss. But it could also be dangerous. Frightening psychic experiences awaited the...meditator, similar to a bad trip on drugs. Demons described in the Vedas had been known to take possession of some Yogis. Kundalini power, said to be coiled like a serpent at the base of the spine, could produce ecstatic experiences when released in deep meditation — or...it could do great mental and bodily harm. The line between ecstasy and horror was very fine...During daily meditation I began to have visions of psychedelic colors, to hear unearthly music, and to visit exotic planets where the gods conversed with me, encouraging me to attain even higher states of consciousness. Sometimes in my trance I encountered the same horrible demonic creatures...depicted by the images in Hindu, Buddhist, Shinto, and other religious temples. It was a frightful experience, but the Brahmacharya explained that it was normal and urged me to pursue the quest for Self Realization. At times I experienced a sense of mystical unity with the universe. I was the universe, Lord of all, omnipotent, omnipresent. My instructors were excited at this. I was obviously a chosen vessel, destined for early success in the search for union with Brahman. The Forces that had guided my father were now guiding me." (Death of a Guru, Rabindranath R. Maharaj, pp. 56-57)

As Rabindranath testifies, attaining an altered state of consciousness portends spiritual danger, as in such a state of mind, demons can interfere with and even possess the passive or empty mind.  Hence, meditation serves as an open doorway into the realm of evil spirits and dangerous demonic deceptions.

In a synthetic way, hallucinogenic drugs also assist users to experience an altered state of consciousness. There are as well certain types of music, such as trance and heavy metal that enhance and in many cases produce in the mind and spirit of the listener an altered state, hence spiritual transformation.

In secularized Westerners and unwary Christians alike, altered states by whatever means eventually end in altered world view:

"Self-induced, mind-emptying and mind-altering disciplines/devices desensitize the Christian's sensitivity to biblical reality as the mind abandons its defenses and letting go of restraints, no longer can discern truth from error.   Mind-emptying meditation, like that promoted in sensitivity training groups related to the Human Potential Movement, has as its philosophical foundation the mantra of, 'accept anything as valid.'  So there is to be no questioning (there are no wrong answers), challenging or negativity expressed against the new sensitivities.  To this end, entering an altered state of consciousness serves to anesthetize persons against discernment as they are overcome by a lax, apathetic and permissive state of mind.  This happens in spite of the biblical call to be sober-minded." (ibid, DeBruyn)

As it was in the days of Noah

As Ferguson admits, the psycho-technologies being taught over and across our culture were once the private domain of ancient magicians and sorcerers.   In fact, as Constance Cumbey reveals in her thoroughly researched book, "The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow," many New Age historians claim their traditions originated in pre-flood Atlantis (during the time of Noah) and afterward were preserved in the ancient land of Babylon,

"...and surrounding Plains of Shinar and from there disseminated throughout the earth, including Taoist doctrines of China, Mayan-Aztec teachings of Mexico and Central/South America; Great Spirit teachings of the American Indians, Hindu/Buddhist teachings of Asia, etc" (pp. 250-251)

In affirmation, Church Father Clement writes:

"Fallen angels taught men the use of magical incantations that would force demons to obey man.  After the flood Ham the son of Noah unhappily discovered this and taught it to his sons.  This became ingrained into the Egyptians, Persians, and Babylonians.  Ham died shortly after the fall of the Tower of Babel.  Nimrod, called Ninus by the Greeks, was handed this knowledge and by it caused men to go away from the worship of God and go into diverse and erratic superstitions and they began to be governed by the signs in the stars and motions of the planets." (Recognitions of Clement 4.26-29)

The Tower of Babel was Babylon's founding edifice and spiritual center, observes Brooks Alexander, Research Director for Spiritual Counterfeits Project.  Brooks describes the Tower as an astral temple,

"....representing the structure of reality. As the 'cosmic mountain' it tied heaven and earth together.  It was the all-inclusive image of the totality of the universe." (The Big Lie, SCP Journal 29:2-29:3, 2005, Tal Brooke, p. 11)

The magical meaning of the Temple is the ancient Egyptian Hermetic principle of the macrocosm's correlation with the microcosm, "as above, so below" symbolized by the Ouroboros – the great chain of being and cosmic tree of life.  "Below" corresponds to the Tower and 'above' to a number of different astral planes and sub-planes comprising the habitations,

"(of all) supernatural entities, the locale of gods and demons, the void where the thoughtforms dwell, the region inhabited by spirits of the air and other elements, and the various heavens and hells with their angelic and demonic hosts....With the help of ritual procedures, trained persons believe that they can 'rise on the planes,' and experience these regions in full awareness." ("Beyond the Body: The Human Double and the Astral planes, Benjamin Walker, 1974, pp. 117-8)

From the time of Nimrod to our own, the serpent-energized Ouroboros with its astral planes has been well-known around the world in its' many esoteric (occult secret) traditions:

"References to this reality are the Dreaming of the Australian Aborigines, the Spirit-world of Shamanism, the Duart of the ancient Egyptians, the Bardo (Intermediate State) of the Tibetans, the Imaginal world of Islamic Esotericism – e.g. the Barzakh (Interworld) or of Suhrawardi and the Mithal (Imaginal realm) of Ibn Arabi – the Universe of Asiyah of some Kabbalists, or of Yetzirah according to others. Other descriptions are the Nervo degree of the Physical State of Theon, the Astral or 2nd Prakritic plane (corresponding to the Linga Sharira or Subtle or Astral body) and the Kama (Desire-Plane) of Blavatsky, the Astral Plane of the Adyar school of Theosophy and of popular occultism, Rudolf Steiner's "Soul World"; and the Vital and Subtle Physical described by Sri Aurobindo and Mirra. These are just a few of the innumerable descriptions of this plane of existence." (The Astral Plane, kheper.net)

Brooks adds that in the,

"….ritual act of ascending the astral altar, the priests acted out the stages of god-realization and the inner meaning of mankind's oneness with the cosmos.  The Babylonian monarch was the focus of the occult power channeled through the activities of the priesthood.  He was regarded as a divine being, a god-man."  (ibid, The Big Lie, p. 10)

In other words, with the help of spirit guides, psycho-technologies and other occult rituals, initiates believed they could spiritually rise or evolve up the astral planes to visit the realm of the gods and become the mouth-pieces for the gods and goddesses.

According to occult lore, at the final level of initiation spirit entities fully possess the body of the monarch (i.e., Nimrod) to replace his spirit. This means that the spirit of the monarch is no longer in residence as a 'new' spirit inhabits and animates the monarch's body.  This is why the monarch thereafter was regarded as a divine being, a god-man.

Upon possession of the monarch's body, the possessing spirit or spirit's exude a powerful mesmerizing influence that draws most of the community into its' sphere of influence and domination resulting in communal possession.

Possession takes two forms, communal and individual:

"...central possession is communal, strongly institutionalized, and ritualistically induced, but peripheral possession is more normally individual and spontaneous." (Demonic Possession: A Medical, Historical, Anthropological, and Theological Symposium, John Warwick Montgomery (ed.), Bethany,1976)

Inducing Communal Possession

Dr. Martin Erdmann, in his key article "The Spiritualization of Science, Technology, and Education in a One-World Society," explains how achieving altered consciousness is a primary agenda of the evolutionary pantheist Human Potential Movement:

"Inspired in part by Aldous Huxley's publications and his advocacy of psychedelic drugs, intellectuals such as Willis W. Harman emphasized irrational meditative/mind emptying exercises, or the use of hallucinogens as a more congenial basis for scientific and technological progress.  Calling for a new metaphysic of science/technology, the proponents of the Human Potential Movement perceive the religious heritage of the West---based on Christian premises---as the greatest impediment of an evolving "cosmic conscience."   In gaining a more comprehensive understanding of the spiritual and material processes of the universe, a mystically inclined elite of technically enhanced human mutants would be able to usher in a homogenous world socialist society, perhaps not altogether different from the one envisioned in Brave New World."   (Altered States: A Different Gate, Sarah Leslie and Pastor Larry DeBruyn, Apr. 28, 2011, Herescope)

Psycho-technology in many guises is now moving with an almost irresistible force over and across post-Christian America and the West transforming the consciousness of Westerners and Americans away from the personal Triune God and toward a new spirituality and perdition.  Mainstream media took note and reported:

"Neopaganism Growing Quickly: Numbers Roughly Double Every 18 Months in United States, Canada, and Europe." (Denver Post, June 26, 2008; How Evil Works: Understanding and Overcoming the Destructive Forces that are Transforming America, David Kupelian, p. 115)

"Sorcery Sells, and the Young are Buying" (ibid, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, June 10, 2007)

"Wicca is Believed to be One of the Fastest-Growing Religions Among High School and College Students" (ibid, National Public Radio, May 13, 2004)

According to a 1987 New York Times article, psychologists who have studied these mind-altering techniques said that while participants are in this 'altered state' group-leaders are able to implant new ideas and alter thinking processes:

"Gurus hired to motivate workers are raising fears of 'mind control." (America: Sorcerer's New Apprentice, Hunt, McMahon)

This charge is so grave and frightening that former University of Wisconsin psychology faculty member Edwin Morse warns that graduates of New Age courses being required for employees of many businesses are often "psychologically scarred."  Now in private practice and specializing in helping such people, Dr. Morse declares:

"These (mind-altering) groups are using hypnotic procedures and people are not being told about it." (Dave Hunt, p. 42)

Richard L. Waring of Budget Rent-a-Car Corporation asserts that mind-altering techniques induce a trance-like state and adds that many participants are convinced that they have come under harmful, frightening influence from spirit entities as a result.  Arguing that people exposed by employers to,

"New Age psycho-technologies (for) altering normal consciousness....ought to be told up front" that inevitably their "fundamental worldviews and Judeo-Christian religious beliefs' are being tampered with.

Waring adds,

"For about the last three years, I have observed the introduction and growth of a new philosophy of human potential and development (most often referred to) as the 'New Age' movement... I began noticing a number of consultants and corporate Human Resources Development practitioners who were promoting 'higher creativity,' 'improved memory,' 'accelerated learning,' 'stress management.'  I found that most of these methods were somewhere on Ferguson's list of 'means to altering consciousness'(and) I began to wonder about the motives of the persons selling these concepts. Were they really out to improve human potential? Or had they had some profound experience on their spiritual journey and were really enlisting others to follow their path?" (ibid, pp. 42-43)

New Age spirituality is at work within churches and schools as well:

"Your unconscious mind (has a) power that turns wishes into realities when the wishes are strong enough." ("Positive Imaging," Norman Vincent Peale, 1982, p. 77)

Word Faith teacher Kenneth Copeland tells people to visualize any image,

"...that you get down inside you that is so vivid when you close your eyes you see it, it'll come to pass. When God came at the Tower of Babel, He said, 'Anything they can imagine, they can do." (Inner Image of the Covenant, side 2, Copeland)

In our schools children are being taught the ancient occult art of "centering," a psycho-technique that opens up the minds of children to the influence of demons.  In his book, "America's Schools: The Battleground for Freedom," Allen Quist warns:

"New Age religion is now aggressively being taught in our nation's public schools." A model curriculum has been developed that "is clearly centered on pantheism." "Much of what passes for environmental education and multiculturalism is really indoctrination in pantheistic/New Age theology. The ACLU and other similar organizations have no objections to (pantheistic indoctrination). It is only Christianity that these organizations object to." (p. 51)

Tom DeWeese, President of the American Policy Center, has also been following the explosive growth of occult New Age spirituality. In a work entitled, "Teachers, Preachers and Greens: The Unholy Alliance to Transform America," DeWeese reveals the existence of a well-funded yet covert effort to alter the consciousness of American society through an aggressive assault on schools and churches.  He reveals that the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City is one of the initiating centers of the assault and the home of the enormously influential occult spiritual Gaia Institute as well as the Temple of Understanding — a politically influential U.N. Non-Governmental Organization. DeWeese describes a pagan "church service" at St. John the Divine:

"As the congregation sit in their church pews in the great Cathedral of St. John, the Divine in New York City, the priest stands at the alter, ready to receive a procession of animals for the annual Feast of Saint Francis blessing. Down the aisle comes a procession of elephants, camels, donkeys, monkeys and birds. These are followed by members of the congregation carrying bowls of compost and worms. Next, to the sounds of music, come acrobats and jugglers. In the pulpit, former Vice President Al Gore delivers a sermon, saying, "God is not separate from the Earth." (federalobserver.com)

So-called 'extraterrestrials' are also at work.   In "Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection," Gary Bates reports that the abduction phenomenon is occurring all over the world, including Third World countries.

UFO researcher Jacques Vallee concurs and notes that the abductee's perceptions of reality (consciousness) are being profoundly altered and adds that the structure of abduction stories is identical to occult rituals:

"...contact with ufonauts (is) a modern extension of contact with non-human consciousness in the form of angels, demons, elves, and sylphs....Such contact...often leaves marks and scars on the body and the mind..."   (p. 230)

UFO research-scientist John Keel also likens modern alien abductions to contact with the demonic:

"Demonology is not just another crackpot-ology.  It is the ancient and scholarly study of the monsters and demons who have...coexisted with man throughout history....The manifestations and occurrences described in this imposing literature are similar, if not..identical, to the UFO phenomenon.  Victims of demonomania (possession) suffer the very same medical and emotional symptoms as the UFO contactees..."  (Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection, Gary Bates, p. 260)

After considerable research, Bates connects psycho-techniques utilized by ‘ETs” to hypnosis.  So-called 'aliens' use hypnotic methods to enter into the subconscious mind to plant subliminal messages and alter thought processes to embrace the concept of naturalistic evolution which negates the Genesis account. (Bates, p. 262)

Individual and Communal Possession

Today anthropologists, scientific psychiatrists, and other professionals from the counseling and medical field take very seriously the fact that something frightening and unexplainable by Western science is going on here in America and throughout the West. In their search for answers they are jettisoning as useless materialist explanations. A "new" consensus is emerging: Men have souls and demons really do exist:

"...we need to understand a number of different concepts in order to comprehend the worldwide phenomenon of possession and exorcism. On the psychological level, we have come to know the notion underlying all possession, namely, that the body is a shell, inhabited by a soul, and that this shell may on occasion be surrendered to an intrusive alien entity. " (How about Demons? Possession and Exorcism in the Modern World, Felicitas Goodman. IndianaUpress:1988)

Global Mystery Religion

The Book of Genesis informs us that before the great flood the antediluvian world was in a frenzy of wickedness, no doubt aided and abetted by the Watchers.   God's wrath fell upon that world while a remnant was preserved in the ark.   But scarcely had the waters receded when Ham rediscovered and resurrected the teachings of the Watchers from the antediluvian world.  Utilizing these teachings, Nimrod turned the people away from the worship of God and revived the necessary elements of Mystery Religion Atlantis to establish his own post-flood version.

While Mystery Religion Babylon is the post-flood root of all mystery religions, in its' final version, communal and individual possession will become a global phenomenon as untold millions of people ritualistically act out the stages of god-realization and the inner meaning of mankind's oneness with the cosmos:

".....I can be saved only by becoming one with the universe. Thereby, too, my deepest 'pantheist' aspirations. It was especially the image of God which Teilhard saw in need of urgent redefinition. Modern man has not yet found the God he can adore, A God commensurate to the newly discovered dimensions of the universe." (Towards a New Mysticism, Teilhard de Chardin and Eastern Religions, Ursula King, p. 172

Once again, but this time on a universal scale, humankind is seeking no less than its reunion with the ‘divine,’ its transcendence into ever higher forms of life.  Hindus call our earth Brahma, or God, for they rightly see no difference between our earth and the divine.  This ancient simple truth is slowly dawning again upon humanity.  Its full flowering will be the real, great new story of humanity as we are about to enter our cosmic age...” (New Genesis: Shaping a Global Spirituality,  Robert Muller, father of Core Curriculum, 1984, p. 84)

But as they spiritually rise on the astral planes who is the god they will become "one" with?

New Age spirituality relies heavily on the spirit revelations channeled through Helena Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Muller, Marx Hubbard, and Neale Donald Walsh. Of these it is Blavatsky who reveals this closely guarded secret.

Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy and a leading Masonic thinker, wrote in her book “The Secret Doctrine” volume II:

"….it is but natural…to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind. For it is he who was the “Harbinger of Light” bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of the automaton created by Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was the first to whisper: “in the day ye eat thereof, ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil” – can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour….”  (Theosophical University Press, 1888, p. 243, 513 cited by Paul Trog in "Who is their god? paultrog.com)

“And now it stands proven that Satan, or the Red Fiery Dragon, the “Lord of Phosphorus” (brimstone was a theological improvement), and Lucifer, or “Light Bearer,” is in us: It is our Mind – our tempter and Redeemer, our intelligent liberator and Savior from pure animalism. Without this principle… we would be surely no better than animals

Now we know why leading New Age Mystery Religion adepts speak of the necessity of the Luciferian initiation for all who wish to enter the coming New Age.

Revelation reports that at some point the whole world will become drunk on the wine of Babylon, its' deluded celebrants convinced of their own deity when in reality they've received the mark of Satan.

The clearest answer to the chaotic conditions of our times is found in the Bible.  We are living in the Last Days.  History is winding down and Satan is mobilizing his forces for a final all-out assault--- which we are already experiencing (1 Tim. 4:1 and 2; Tim. 3:1-4)  The demonic realm is brazenly interacting with our own realm, and it is in this light that we can understand the growing epidemic of madness, extremism, suicide, depression, apathy, apostasy, lawlessness, and hatred appearing on every side.

We are living in the days of a demonic nature, said Dr. Kurt Koch (1913-1987).  For over fifty years Dr. Koch's name has been synonymous with authoritative and biblical insights and help for all who desire to understand or escape from the mesmerizing influence of the occult and demonic world.

Civilization is marching toward its own destruction said Koch, and if we fail therefore to take our stand at the foot of the cross,

"... fail to build our house upon the Rock, (we will) be swept away by the turmoil of the End-times."  (Demonology Past and Present, Koch, p. 37)
