The 'God' of New Age Mystery Religion

In "The Aquarian Conspiracy," a book that has been called 'the New Age Bible,' Marilyn Ferguson (1938-2008) enthusiastically reports that a great, shuddering irrevocable shift in consciousness is overtaking us,

"It is a new mind, a turnabout in consciousness in critical numbers of individuals, a network powerful enough to bring about radical change in our culture.   This network....has already enlisted the minds, hearts and resources of some of our most advanced thinkers, including Nobel laureate scientists, philosophers, statesmen, celebrities....who are working to create a different kind of society...The technologies for expanding and transforming personal consciousness, once the secret of an elite, are now generating massive change in every cultural institution---medicine, politics, business, education, religion and the family."   (America: The Sorcerer's New Apprentice, Hunt & McMahon, p. 34)

Ferguson lists a number of these consciousness altering techniques:

".....Meditation, Self-Hypnosis, Focusing, Centering, Guided Imagery, Visualization, Transcendental Meditation, Yoga, Biofeedback, Dianetics, Silva Mind Control..."  (America: Sorcerer's New Apprentice, p. 43)

Among other techniques for getting in touch with the "Christ consciousness" inner “Light,”  the "Force," seething energy of Lucifer or the angel (Lucifer) are strenuous physical exercises, special diets (especially vegetarianism), Kundalini yoga, brain-altering drugs, trance music, mind science, chanting, psychodrama, consciousness-raising strategies, hypnosis and self-hypnosis, body disciplines and therapies such as hatha yoga and aikido as well as sensitivity groups and encounter groups, Zen, Tibetan Buddhism and transcendental meditation and yoga.

The altered state of consciousness by which a man enters into communion with intelligent beings of the unseen world is called "opening of the senses" in Scripture:

"Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand."  (Numbers 22:31, also see 2 Kings 6:17; Luke 24:16-31)

According to the Watchman Expositor, hypnosis is linked to ancient religious practices and eastern mystical experiences, involving similar trance states or altered states of consciousness. Such altered states are essential to such practices as out-of-body experiences, astral projection, and Yoga. William Kroger, M.D. and William Fezler Ph.D. maintain that,

"...hypnosis has been practiced in one form or another in the civilized and uncivilized world under many different labels since the dawn of history."  (Hypnosis, James K. Walker, watchman.org)

They further note that historically elements of hypnosis have been an integral part of pagan religious practices and world religions including Assyro-Babylonian exorcism, Egyptian soothsaying, Jewish mysticism, Chinese Taoism , Sufism, Hinduism, Shintoism, forms of Buddhism (Tibetan and Zen), and Yoga. (Hypnosis and Behavior Modification, pp. 6-8; ibid).

In  'Recognitions'  church father Clement records an evil deed of the Gnostic pagan magician Simon that bears a striking resemblance to the effects of modern psycho-technologies.   Clement reports that Simon had begun to commit murder by inducing a child to experience an out of body situation.  By way of mesmerizing,

"...abominable incantations he separated the soul of a child from its own body, that it might become his assistant for the production of whatever apparition he might require.  And he drew a likeness of the boy, and keeps it set up in the inner chamber where he sleeps, affirming that he...formed him of air by transformations such as the gods cause..." (Earth's Earliest Ages, G.H. Pember, p. 181)

In his interpretation of this dark passage, G.H. Pember concluded,

"...by mesmerism Simon had drawn out the spirit of the boy into a higher...state, and then omitted to recall it, so that the spirit had finally separated from the body; and that he had done this for the purpose of procuring a (spirit) familiar....Simon....denied the murder of the boy by asserting that he had merely resolved a spirit-form which he had himself produced." (p. 182)

In his 'Apology'  church father Tertullian writes that if magicians can produce apparitions, bring into evil repute the spirits of men who are dead,

"....mesmerize boys to obtain an oracular response...perform many wonders...by their conjuring illusions; send dreams by the aiding power of angels and demons whom they have...summoned to their assistance; through whose influence also goats and tables have been made to divine; how much more will that Satanic power be zealous to do with all its strength, of its own will, and for its own purposes, that which it does to serve the ends of others." (Pember, pp. 184-185)

Former guru Rabindranath R. Maharaj, now a committed follower of Jesus Christ, describes his former meditation ritual and its' terrifying consequences:

"Nothing was more important than our daily transcendental meditation, the heart of Yoga, which Krishna advocated as the surest way to eternal Bliss. But it could also be dangerous. Frightening psychic experiences awaited the...meditator, similar to a bad trip on drugs. Demons described in the Vedas had been known to take possession of some Yogis. Kundalini power, said to be coiled like a serpent at the base of the spine, could produce ecstatic experiences when released in deep meditation — or...it could do great mental and bodily harm. The line between ecstasy and horror was very fine...During daily meditation I began to have visions of psychedelic colors, to hear unearthly music, and to visit exotic planets where the gods conversed with me, encouraging me to attain even higher states of consciousness. Sometimes in my trance I encountered the same horrible demonic creatures...depicted by the images in Hindu, Buddhist, Shinto, and other religious temples. It was a frightful experience, but the Brahmacharya explained that it was normal and urged me to pursue the quest for Self Realization. At times I experienced a sense of mystical unity with the universe. I was the universe, Lord of all, omnipotent, omnipresent. My instructors were excited at this. I was obviously a chosen vessel, destined for early success in the search for union with Brahman. The Forces that had guided my father were now guiding me." (Death of a Guru, Rabindranath R. Maharaj, pp. 56-57)

As Rabindranath testifies, attaining an altered state of consciousness portends spiritual danger, as in such a state of mind, demons can interfere with and even possess the passive or empty mind.  Hence, meditation serves as an open doorway into the realm of evil spirits and dangerous demonic deceptions.

In a synthetic way, hallucinogenic drugs also assist users to experience an altered state of consciousness. There are as well certain types of music, such as trance and heavy metal that enhance and in many cases produce in the mind and spirit of the listener an altered state, hence spiritual transformation.

In secularized Westerners and unwary Christians alike, altered states by whatever means eventually end in altered world view:

"Self-induced, mind-emptying and mind-altering disciplines/devices desensitize the Christian's sensitivity to biblical reality as the mind abandons its defenses and letting go of restraints, no longer can discern truth from error.   Mind-emptying meditation, like that promoted in sensitivity training groups related to the Human Potential Movement, has as its philosophical foundation the mantra of, 'accept anything as valid.'  So there is to be no questioning (there are no wrong answers), challenging or negativity expressed against the new sensitivities.  To this end, entering an altered state of consciousness serves to anesthetize persons against discernment as they are overcome by a lax, apathetic and permissive state of mind.  This happens in spite of the biblical call to be sober-minded." (ibid, DeBruyn)

As it was in the days of Noah

As Ferguson admits, the psycho-technologies being taught over and across our culture were once the private domain of ancient magicians and sorcerers.   In fact, as Constance Cumbey reveals in her thoroughly researched book, "The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow," many New Age historians claim their traditions originated in pre-flood Atlantis (during the time of Noah) and afterward were preserved in the ancient land of Babylon,

"...and surrounding Plains of Shinar and from there disseminated throughout the earth, including Taoist doctrines of China, Mayan-Aztec teachings of Mexico and Central/South America; Great Spirit teachings of the American Indians, Hindu/Buddhist teachings of Asia, etc" (pp. 250-251)

In affirmation, Church Father Clement writes:

"Fallen angels taught men the use of magical incantations that would force demons to obey man.  After the flood Ham the son of Noah unhappily discovered this and taught it to his sons.  This became ingrained into the Egyptians, Persians, and Babylonians.  Ham died shortly after the fall of the Tower of Babel.  Nimrod, called Ninus by the Greeks, was handed this knowledge and by it caused men to go away from the worship of God and go into diverse and erratic superstitions and they began to be governed by the signs in the stars and motions of the planets." (Recognitions of Clement 4.26-29)

The Tower of Babel was Babylon's founding edifice and spiritual center, observes Brooks Alexander, Research Director for Spiritual Counterfeits Project.  Brooks describes the Tower as an astral temple,

"....representing the structure of reality. As the 'cosmic mountain' it tied heaven and earth together.  It was the all-inclusive image of the totality of the universe." (The Big Lie, SCP Journal 29:2-29:3, 2005, Tal Brooke, p. 11)

The magical meaning of the Temple is the ancient Egyptian Hermetic principle of the macrocosm's correlation with the microcosm, "as above, so below" symbolized by the Ouroboros – the great chain of being and cosmic tree of life.  "Below" corresponds to the Tower and 'above' to a number of different astral planes and sub-planes comprising the habitations,

"(of all) supernatural entities, the locale of gods and demons, the void where the thoughtforms dwell, the region inhabited by spirits of the air and other elements, and the various heavens and hells with their angelic and demonic hosts....With the help of ritual procedures, trained persons believe that they can 'rise on the planes,' and experience these regions in full awareness." ("Beyond the Body: The Human Double and the Astral planes, Benjamin Walker, 1974, pp. 117-8)

From the time of Nimrod to our own, the serpent-energized Ouroboros with its astral planes has been well-known around the world in its' many esoteric (occult secret) traditions:

"References to this reality are the Dreaming of the Australian Aborigines, the Spirit-world of Shamanism, the Duart of the ancient Egyptians, the Bardo (Intermediate State) of the Tibetans, the Imaginal world of Islamic Esotericism – e.g. the Barzakh (Interworld) or of Suhrawardi and the Mithal (Imaginal realm) of Ibn Arabi – the Universe of Asiyah of some Kabbalists, or of Yetzirah according to others. Other descriptions are the Nervo degree of the Physical State of Theon, the Astral or 2nd Prakritic plane (corresponding to the Linga Sharira or Subtle or Astral body) and the Kama (Desire-Plane) of Blavatsky, the Astral Plane of the Adyar school of Theosophy and of popular occultism, Rudolf Steiner's "Soul World"; and the Vital and Subtle Physical described by Sri Aurobindo and Mirra. These are just a few of the innumerable descriptions of this plane of existence." (The Astral Plane, kheper.net)

Brooks adds that in the,

"….ritual act of ascending the astral altar, the priests acted out the stages of god-realization and the inner meaning of mankind's oneness with the cosmos.  The Babylonian monarch was the focus of the occult power channeled through the activities of the priesthood.  He was regarded as a divine being, a god-man."  (ibid, The Big Lie, p. 10)

In other words, with the help of spirit guides, psycho-technologies and other occult rituals, initiates believed they could spiritually rise or evolve up the astral planes to visit the realm of the gods and become the mouth-pieces for the gods and goddesses.

According to occult lore, at the final level of initiation spirit entities fully possess the body of the monarch (i.e., Nimrod) to replace his spirit. This means that the spirit of the monarch is no longer in residence as a 'new' spirit inhabits and animates the monarch's body.  This is why the monarch thereafter was regarded as a divine being, a god-man.

Upon possession of the monarch's body, the possessing spirit or spirit's exude a powerful mesmerizing influence that draws most of the community into its' sphere of influence and domination resulting in communal possession.

Possession takes two forms, communal and individual:

"...central possession is communal, strongly institutionalized, and ritualistically induced, but peripheral possession is more normally individual and spontaneous." (Demonic Possession: A Medical, Historical, Anthropological, and Theological Symposium, John Warwick Montgomery (ed.), Bethany,1976)

Inducing Communal Possession

Dr. Martin Erdmann, in his key article "The Spiritualization of Science, Technology, and Education in a One-World Society," explains how achieving altered consciousness is a primary agenda of the evolutionary pantheist Human Potential Movement:

"Inspired in part by Aldous Huxley's publications and his advocacy of psychedelic drugs, intellectuals such as Willis W. Harman emphasized irrational meditative/mind emptying exercises, or the use of hallucinogens as a more congenial basis for scientific and technological progress.  Calling for a new metaphysic of science/technology, the proponents of the Human Potential Movement perceive the religious heritage of the West---based on Christian premises---as the greatest impediment of an evolving "cosmic conscience."   In gaining a more comprehensive understanding of the spiritual and material processes of the universe, a mystically inclined elite of technically enhanced human mutants would be able to usher in a homogenous world socialist society, perhaps not altogether different from the one envisioned in Brave New World."   (Altered States: A Different Gate, Sarah Leslie and Pastor Larry DeBruyn, Apr. 28, 2011, Herescope)

Psycho-technology in many guises is now moving with an almost irresistible force over and across post-Christian America and the West transforming the consciousness of Westerners and Americans away from the personal Triune God and toward a new spirituality and perdition.  Mainstream media took note and reported:

"Neopaganism Growing Quickly: Numbers Roughly Double Every 18 Months in United States, Canada, and Europe." (Denver Post, June 26, 2008; How Evil Works: Understanding and Overcoming the Destructive Forces that are Transforming America, David Kupelian, p. 115)

"Sorcery Sells, and the Young are Buying" (ibid, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, June 10, 2007)

"Wicca is Believed to be One of the Fastest-Growing Religions Among High School and College Students" (ibid, National Public Radio, May 13, 2004)

According to a 1987 New York Times article, psychologists who have studied these mind-altering techniques said that while participants are in this 'altered state' group-leaders are able to implant new ideas and alter thinking processes:

"Gurus hired to motivate workers are raising fears of 'mind control." (America: Sorcerer's New Apprentice, Hunt, McMahon)

This charge is so grave and frightening that former University of Wisconsin psychology faculty member Edwin Morse warns that graduates of New Age courses being required for employees of many businesses are often "psychologically scarred."  Now in private practice and specializing in helping such people, Dr. Morse declares:

"These (mind-altering) groups are using hypnotic procedures and people are not being told about it." (Dave Hunt, p. 42)

Richard L. Waring of Budget Rent-a-Car Corporation asserts that mind-altering techniques induce a trance-like state and adds that many participants are convinced that they have come under harmful, frightening influence from spirit entities as a result.  Arguing that people exposed by employers to,

"New Age psycho-technologies (for) altering normal consciousness....ought to be told up front" that inevitably their "fundamental worldviews and Judeo-Christian religious beliefs' are being tampered with.

Waring adds,

"For about the last three years, I have observed the introduction and growth of a new philosophy of human potential and development (most often referred to) as the 'New Age' movement... I began noticing a number of consultants and corporate Human Resources Development practitioners who were promoting 'higher creativity,' 'improved memory,' 'accelerated learning,' 'stress management.'  I found that most of these methods were somewhere on Ferguson's list of 'means to altering consciousness'(and) I began to wonder about the motives of the persons selling these concepts. Were they really out to improve human potential? Or had they had some profound experience on their spiritual journey and were really enlisting others to follow their path?" (ibid, pp. 42-43)

New Age spirituality is at work within churches and schools as well:

"Your unconscious mind (has a) power that turns wishes into realities when the wishes are strong enough." ("Positive Imaging," Norman Vincent Peale, 1982, p. 77)

Word Faith teacher Kenneth Copeland tells people to visualize any image,

"...that you get down inside you that is so vivid when you close your eyes you see it, it'll come to pass. When God came at the Tower of Babel, He said, 'Anything they can imagine, they can do." (Inner Image of the Covenant, side 2, Copeland)

In our schools children are being taught the ancient occult art of "centering," a psycho-technique that opens up the minds of children to the influence of demons.  In his book, "America's Schools: The Battleground for Freedom," Allen Quist warns:

"New Age religion is now aggressively being taught in our nation's public schools." A model curriculum has been developed that "is clearly centered on pantheism." "Much of what passes for environmental education and multiculturalism is really indoctrination in pantheistic/New Age theology. The ACLU and other similar organizations have no objections to (pantheistic indoctrination). It is only Christianity that these organizations object to." (p. 51)

Tom DeWeese, President of the American Policy Center, has also been following the explosive growth of occult New Age spirituality. In a work entitled, "Teachers, Preachers and Greens: The Unholy Alliance to Transform America," DeWeese reveals the existence of a well-funded yet covert effort to alter the consciousness of American society through an aggressive assault on schools and churches.  He reveals that the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City is one of the initiating centers of the assault and the home of the enormously influential occult spiritual Gaia Institute as well as the Temple of Understanding — a politically influential U.N. Non-Governmental Organization. DeWeese describes a pagan "church service" at St. John the Divine:

"As the congregation sit in their church pews in the great Cathedral of St. John, the Divine in New York City, the priest stands at the alter, ready to receive a procession of animals for the annual Feast of Saint Francis blessing. Down the aisle comes a procession of elephants, camels, donkeys, monkeys and birds. These are followed by members of the congregation carrying bowls of compost and worms. Next, to the sounds of music, come acrobats and jugglers. In the pulpit, former Vice President Al Gore delivers a sermon, saying, "God is not separate from the Earth." (federalobserver.com)

So-called 'extraterrestrials' are also at work.   In "Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection," Gary Bates reports that the abduction phenomenon is occurring all over the world, including Third World countries.

UFO researcher Jacques Vallee concurs and notes that the abductee's perceptions of reality (consciousness) are being profoundly altered and adds that the structure of abduction stories is identical to occult rituals:

"...contact with ufonauts (is) a modern extension of contact with non-human consciousness in the form of angels, demons, elves, and sylphs....Such contact...often leaves marks and scars on the body and the mind..."   (p. 230)

UFO research-scientist John Keel also likens modern alien abductions to contact with the demonic:

"Demonology is not just another crackpot-ology.  It is the ancient and scholarly study of the monsters and demons who have...coexisted with man throughout history....The manifestations and occurrences described in this imposing literature are similar, if not..identical, to the UFO phenomenon.  Victims of demonomania (possession) suffer the very same medical and emotional symptoms as the UFO contactees..."  (Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection, Gary Bates, p. 260)

After considerable research, Bates connects psycho-techniques utilized by ‘ETs” to hypnosis.  So-called 'aliens' use hypnotic methods to enter into the subconscious mind to plant subliminal messages and alter thought processes to embrace the concept of naturalistic evolution which negates the Genesis account. (Bates, p. 262)

Individual and Communal Possession

Today anthropologists, scientific psychiatrists, and other professionals from the counseling and medical field take very seriously the fact that something frightening and unexplainable by Western science is going on here in America and throughout the West. In their search for answers they are jettisoning as useless materialist explanations. A "new" consensus is emerging: Men have souls and demons really do exist:

"...we need to understand a number of different concepts in order to comprehend the worldwide phenomenon of possession and exorcism. On the psychological level, we have come to know the notion underlying all possession, namely, that the body is a shell, inhabited by a soul, and that this shell may on occasion be surrendered to an intrusive alien entity. " (How about Demons? Possession and Exorcism in the Modern World, Felicitas Goodman. IndianaUpress:1988)

Global Mystery Religion

The Book of Genesis informs us that before the great flood the antediluvian world was in a frenzy of wickedness, no doubt aided and abetted by the Watchers.   God's wrath fell upon that world while a remnant was preserved in the ark.   But scarcely had the waters receded when Ham rediscovered and resurrected the teachings of the Watchers from the antediluvian world.  Utilizing these teachings, Nimrod turned the people away from the worship of God and revived the necessary elements of Mystery Religion Atlantis to establish his own post-flood version.

While Mystery Religion Babylon is the post-flood root of all mystery religions, in its' final version, communal and individual possession will become a global phenomenon as untold millions of people ritualistically act out the stages of god-realization and the inner meaning of mankind's oneness with the cosmos:

".....I can be saved only by becoming one with the universe. Thereby, too, my deepest 'pantheist' aspirations. It was especially the image of God which Teilhard saw in need of urgent redefinition. Modern man has not yet found the God he can adore, A God commensurate to the newly discovered dimensions of the universe." (Towards a New Mysticism, Teilhard de Chardin and Eastern Religions, Ursula King, p. 172

Once again, but this time on a universal scale, humankind is seeking no less than its reunion with the ‘divine,’ its transcendence into ever higher forms of life.  Hindus call our earth Brahma, or God, for they rightly see no difference between our earth and the divine.  This ancient simple truth is slowly dawning again upon humanity.  Its full flowering will be the real, great new story of humanity as we are about to enter our cosmic age...” (New Genesis: Shaping a Global Spirituality,  Robert Muller, father of Core Curriculum, 1984, p. 84)

But as they spiritually rise on the astral planes who is the god they will become "one" with?

New Age spirituality relies heavily on the spirit revelations channeled through Helena Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Muller, Marx Hubbard, and Neale Donald Walsh. Of these it is Blavatsky who reveals this closely guarded secret.

Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy and a leading Masonic thinker, wrote in her book “The Secret Doctrine” volume II:

"….it is but natural…to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind. For it is he who was the “Harbinger of Light” bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of the automaton created by Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was the first to whisper: “in the day ye eat thereof, ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil” – can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour….”  (Theosophical University Press, 1888, p. 243, 513 cited by Paul Trog in "Who is their god? paultrog.com)

“And now it stands proven that Satan, or the Red Fiery Dragon, the “Lord of Phosphorus” (brimstone was a theological improvement), and Lucifer, or “Light Bearer,” is in us: It is our Mind – our tempter and Redeemer, our intelligent liberator and Savior from pure animalism. Without this principle… we would be surely no better than animals

Now we know why leading New Age Mystery Religion adepts speak of the necessity of the Luciferian initiation for all who wish to enter the coming New Age.

Revelation reports that at some point the whole world will become drunk on the wine of Babylon, its' deluded celebrants convinced of their own deity when in reality they've received the mark of Satan.

The clearest answer to the chaotic conditions of our times is found in the Bible.  We are living in the Last Days.  History is winding down and Satan is mobilizing his forces for a final all-out assault--- which we are already experiencing (1 Tim. 4:1 and 2; Tim. 3:1-4)  The demonic realm is brazenly interacting with our own realm, and it is in this light that we can understand the growing epidemic of madness, extremism, suicide, depression, apathy, apostasy, lawlessness, and hatred appearing on every side.

We are living in the days of a demonic nature, said Dr. Kurt Koch (1913-1987).  For over fifty years Dr. Koch's name has been synonymous with authoritative and biblical insights and help for all who desire to understand or escape from the mesmerizing influence of the occult and demonic world.

Civilization is marching toward its own destruction said Koch, and if we fail therefore to take our stand at the foot of the cross,

"... fail to build our house upon the Rock, (we will) be swept away by the turmoil of the End-times."  (Demonology Past and Present, Koch, p. 37)

Hypnotic Procedures: From Babylon's Sorcerers and Magicians to Our Own Time

In "The Aquarian Conspiracy," a book that has been called 'the New Age Bible,' Marilyn Ferguson (1938-2008) enthusiastically reports that a great, shuddering irrevocable shift is overtaking us,

As Ferguson admitted, the psycho-technologies being employed for the transformation of personal consciousness or spirit, were once the private domain of ancient magicians and sorcerers.   In fact, as Constance Cumbey reveals in her thoroughly researched book, "The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow," many New Age esoteric historians claim their traditions originated in Atlantis and afterward were preserved in the ancient land of Babylon,

Occult New Age spirituality relies heavily on spirit revelations channeled through mediums such as the Luciferian Theosophists Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey together with their contemporary disciples, Benjamin Crème, Robert Muller, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and Neale Donald Walsh to name but a few.  All of these mediums are not only under the influence of their spirit guides but demonically oppressed by them, often without their conscious awareness.   It is from demons then that the secret knowledge, the technologies for expanding and transforming personal consciousness, has been received.

Ferguson lists a number of these techniques 'for altering consciousness:'

".....Meditation, Self-Hypnosis, Focusing, Centering, Guided Imagery, Visualization, Transcendental Meditation, Yoga, Biofeedback, Dianetics, Silva Mind Control..."  (America: Sorcerer's New Apprentice, p. 43)

According to a 1987 New York Times article, psychologists who have studied these mind-altering techniques said that while participants are in this 'altered state' group-leaders are able to implant new ideas and alter thinking processes:

"Gurus hired to motivate workers are raising fears of 'mind control." (ibid, Hunt, McMahon)

Arguing that people exposed by employers to "New Age psycho-technologies (for) altering normal consciousness....ought to be told up front" that inevitably their "fundamental worldviews and Judeo-Christian religious beliefs' are being tampered with, Waring explains,

"For about the last three years, I have observed the introduction and growth of a new philosophy of human potential and development (most often referred to) as the 'New Age' movement... Were they really out to improve human potential? Or had they had some profound experience on their spiritual journey and were really enlisting others to follow their path?" (ibid, pp. 42-43)

The New Age network is at work within our schools as well.  There they teach children the ancient art of "centering," a  psycho-technology that opens up the minds of children to the influence of demons.

(Bates, p. 262)

They further note that historically elements of hypnosis have been an integral part of pagan religious practices and world religions including Assyro-Babylonian exorcism, Egyptian soothsaying, Jewish mysticism, Byzantine Catholicism, Chinese Taoism , Sufism, Hinduism, Shintoism, forms of Buddhism (Tibetan and Zen), and Yoga. (Hypnosis and Behavior Modification, pp. 6-8; ibid).

In  'Recognitions'  church father Clement records an evil deed of the magician Simon that bears a striking resemblance to the effects of modern psycho-technologies.

A mere eighty years ago, America began moving away from its' founding Biblical-based worldview, and today by all appearances we are in the midst of an unprecedented and all-encompassing spiritual transformation of consciousness, a counter-conversion from belief in the God of the bible to acceptance of Luciferian New Age spirituality in its every false teaching and manifestation.   On the theological front, contemporary liberal and rationalistic theologians within the whole body of the church continue to either trivialize or outright deny the existence of  sin, hell, Satan and demons.   In the face of advancing chaos and demonic oppression in its every form they are utterly impotent, less than useless.

Make Way for the Shape-Shifting Reptilians!

One of the devil's greatest achievements in our age of biological science and evolutionary thinking has been to convince natural science-worshipping Westerners to believe that all that exists is the evolving universe of matter and energy (naturalism).

Naturalism is of the worldview of monism which is held in common by pantheism, materialism and spiritualism and dates back to pagan antiquity and was or is taught by all non-biblical thought systems   Naturalism means on one hand that the Tri-personal Holy God who spoke creation into existence ex nihilo, heaven, man as His spiritual image-bearer, the Fall, hell, and the devil and his evil minions either do not exist or are myths while on the other highly evolved deep space beings---themselves the emergent product of arcane evolutionary forces acting on matter--- almost certainly exist according to prominent scientist Stephen Hawking and many others.

Hawking warns against contact with deep space aliens because he believes that since they would be a very highly evolved life-form they would view human kind as a primitive life-form to be conquered and used as slaves or worse.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker  also believes in the existence of aliens.  The author of "The Color Purple" is a disciple of David Icke, thus like him she believes  the world is run by shape-shifting reptilian aliens who practice mind control from the moon.

In his book, 'Human Race Get Off Your Knees: The Lion Sleeps No More'  Icke describes how the human mind is controlled from the moon which he claims is actually a “gigantic spacecraft” which sends us a “fake reality broadcast... in much the same way as portrayed in the Matrix movie trilogy."  ("Prize-winning author Alice Walker gives support to David Icke on Desert Island Discs," Liam O'Brien, independent.uk, Sunday 19 May 2013)

Depending on which camp UFO believers fall into, they either view aliens with great fear and horror or as the saviors of mankind who will rescue the earth in the process.   The Vatican's  astronomer Dr. Guy Consolmagno, an avowed evolutionist  and self-confessed science fiction fan said he would even be happy to baptize an alien.   (I’d love to baptise ET, says Vatican’s stargazer,  dailymail.co.uk,  25 January, 2011)

Other Christian UFO believers have rapture-type events predicted for the future while many others are tormented by waking-visions and nightmares by what one man describes as demons,

"(and) the feeling of paralysis and being incapable of  speaking. All I could do in such a situation was mentally pray in Jesus name for deliverance. I would then feel the ‘presence’ leave and I’d wake  up." ("Aliens, evolution and the occult," Gary Bates, creation.com, 24 February 2007)

Bates notes that he has heard many such testimonies and today many people are having very similar experiences—with some  ‘visitors’ masquerading as aliens.

The Myth of Highly Evolved Extraterrestrials

In his book, "Scientific Mythologies," James A. Herrick traces the highly evolved 'aliens from outer-space' idea back to certain Renaissance astrologers, occultists, and mystics such as Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) who claimed to not only receive telepathic secrets from spirits but to have visited populated planets during out-of-body experiences.

Swedenborg's influence is far-reaching. His disciples run the gamut from Kant to the occult theosophist Madame Blavatsky to psychologist J.B. Rhine, a vast array of science fiction writers (i.e., Clarke, H.G. Wells, Ray Bradbury, Steven Spielberg), contemporary spiritists and numerous evolutionary scientists.

Over time, Swedenborg's astral plane travels gave birth to what Herrick dubs "The Myth of the Extraterrestrial." As far back as the seventeenth century enthusiastic science fiction writers were imagining "the intelligent extraterrestrial visitor" and preparing the public to accept their existence. And accept them they have, for the twentieth century has witnessed a veritable population explosion in the alien domain, said Herrick. (p. 43)

Indeed, many UFO messages have been received and channeled by contactees  who claim to be receiving special revelation from our ‘space brothers.’   Some of these 'revelations' have even become the basis of block-buster movies featuring reptilian, grey, and humanoid Nordic extraterrestrials.

Tragically, because science fiction has become our national myth and evolution (the universal life force) is widely accepted throughout the West and taught in Western schools and many seminary's as science, secularized high-school children actually believe there must be some kind of evolutionary Star Wars-like ‘force’  behind the universe.   Along with many deluded atheist scientists, Hollywood liberals, and like-minded progressives, some students even believe that highly evolved and technologically advanced  aliens seeded life on earth.

Panspermia is the idea that life on earth was accidentally seeded by meteorites containing the essential building blocks of life or perhaps by highly evolved extraterrestrials who for billions of years have been guiding the evolution of man. The extraterrestrial idea was favored by Arthur C. Clarke in his book, "Childhood's End" and a variation on this theme has  been advanced by SETI researcher Paul Davies, Francis Crick (co-discoverer of the DNA molecule) and Ralph Pudritz of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

Davies has written seriously about the possibility of "alien bioengineering" that could be detected in the DNA of life on earth and suggests that citizen scientists and school students be enlisted to help search for evidence. (An Alien Code Close to Home: Seeking ET Beyond the Radio Silence, Astrobiology Magazine, Jeremy Hsu, 10/27/2011)

Pudritz theorizes that humans and aliens may share the same DNA which itself could be part of a universal structure "of the first genetic codes anywhere...." (Why Aliens Might Look Like You, Eddie Wren, dailymail.co.uk/ June 11, 2012)

Crick proposes a theory called "directed panspermia," the idea that,

"...life on earth may have begun when aliens from another planet sent a rocket ship containing spores to seed the earth."

Science fiction has become our myth and natural science and evolution our religion, observed UFO commentator and author Ronald Story.  And due mainly to media influences,

“... and a hideously complicated world, most  people are finding it increasingly difficult to distinguish fantasy from reality." (Ronald Story from "Prepare ye the way—the aliens are coming!" Gary Bates, creation.com, 10 February 2011)

In a big picture sense, the whole realm of UFO beliefs is truly a religious idea built upon evolution, yet another religious idea said Bates:

The common denominator of both camps is the belief that evolution has occurred  for countless eons on the earth and all over the universe. This point cannot be  emphasized strongly enough—it is the basis for virtually all belief in alien life, whatever form one thinks that life may take.”  (ibid)

Standing in the shadows behind the fantastic religion of science built upon evolution is a horrifying truth: evolutionary science is unable to account for the origin of life, and Crick likewise admits that his theory only pushes this unresolvable problem out into deep space:

"This scenario still leaves open the question of who designed the designer [aliens] — how did life originally originate?" (Crick, Life Itself: Its Origin and Nature, 1981)

In other words, all who reject the "unscientific" Revealed Word in favor of the fantastic myth of evolution have "hewed themselves out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." Jeremiah 2:13

"....blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." Luke 11:28

Millions of deluded seculars and professing Christians reject the Revealed Word of God, particularly the Genesis account of creation, and embrace instead the myth of evolution in one form or another while for many others, belief in a mystical evolutionary force and in extraterrestrial life has effectively become a new religion that supplants the Revealed Word of God:

"...the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."  2 Cor. 4:4

Over eighteen hundred years ago the Apostle Paul foretold all of this,

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will  abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”  (I Timothy 4:1)

Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons

In "Why so many people–including scientists–suddenly believe in an afterlife" Brian Bethune reports that thousands of cases of "near death experiences" have produced a pack of witnesses who claim to have actually entered into the afterlife before coming back again to write mega-selling accounts of what they saw and felt there:

"Afterlife speculation has become a vibrant part of the zeitgeist, the result of trends that include developments in neuroscience that have inspired new ideas about human consciousness, the ongoing evolution of theology, both popular and expert, and the hopes and fears of an aging population. Heaven is hot again. And hell is colder than ever." (Bethune, Macleans.ca, May 7, 2013)

While eighty-one per cent of Americans still believe in heaven, or some version of it, only seventy-one percent believe in hell, finding annihilation and similar concepts more to their liking.

Elsewhere in the Western world,

"... the gap between heaven and hell believers is more of a gulf—a 2010 Canadian poll found more than half of us think there is a heaven, while fewer than a third acknowledge hell. What’s more, monotheism’s two destinations are no longer all that are on offer. In December a survey of the 1970 British Cohort group—9,000 people, currently 42 years old—found half believed in an afterlife, while only 31 per cent believed in God." (ibid)

Of course hard-core materialists refuse to believe in an afterlife despite that they are unable to account either for life or their own cognition.  Predictably, they foolishly scoff at NDEs, attributing them to,

"...too much carbon dioxide in the blood perhaps or, as a recent study from the University of Kentucky posits, NDEs are really an instance of a sleep disorder, rapid eye movement (REM) intrusion." (ibid)

Trans-humanists and other seculars however, are very open to some sort of nonreligious afterlife, described by one academic as the natural continuation of human consciousness after physical death.

For millions of post-Christian Westerners---including increasing numbers of Christians--- reincarnation, ghost stories, psychic-powers, out of body experiences, contact with highly evolved deep space beings commonly described as Nordics, greys and reptilians, sightings of shadow people, moth man, werewolves and other terrifying creatures; obsession with the paranormal, vampires, personal spirit guides, dreams, visions, science fiction and evolutionary thinking in conjunction with a whole host of fallacies has become a fascinating, even obsessive, substitute religion.

If there is anything new about any of this it is that these experiences have been updated for our age.   Such experiences have occurred from antiquity right down to the present century and are mainly attributable to demonic activity.   UFO encounters for example, are but waking experiences of demons as they are in themselves, but only after one's spiritual eyes have been opened to see these beings who are normally invisible to human eyes.

Bill Wiese’s "23 Minutes in Hell" (2006) for example, recounts his horrifying experiences after being translated into hell at 3 a.m. on the night of Nov. 22, 1998. A California realtor, Wiese was sleeping peacefully when suddenly he found himself in a five-by-three-meter cell occupied by two gigantic, evil, reptilians who proceeded to smash him against the walls before shredding his flesh. Wiese continued in seemingly endless pain, tormented as well by “the terrible, foul stench.” At precisely 3:23 a.m., Jesus Christ rescued Wiese and returned him to his home.

The silver-lining of Wiese's horrifying experience is that it prompted him to warn people that hell really does exist:

"I am in the flames---pull me out!" "Oh save me! They drag me down!"  "I am going to hell!"  "The devil is coming to drag my soul down to hell!"  ('Voices from the Edge of Eternity,' John Myers, 1973, pp. 71, 109, 167, 196)

"Voices from Eternity'" is a collection of death bed visions from more than two hundred individuals dating as far back as the first century AD and including eighty-five famous people such as Charles Darwin.

For some, death was accompanied by the vision of a being of light welcoming them into a beautiful place.  For others, there was agony and terror as demons pulled their souls down into hell.  In "Dialogues," early Church Father Gregory the Great explains this phenomenon:

"It frequently happens that a soul on the point of death recognizes those with whom it is to share the same eternal dwelling for equal blame or reward."  (Dialogues, IV, 36)

From the same Dialogues, St. Gregory said with regard to the righteous that on the point of death they are comforted by the vision of the heavenly company,

"...without experiencing any fear or agony." (Dialogues, IV, 12)

Upon death, the spirits of the righteous are conveyed by ministering angels to heaven. Luke 16:22

Wiese's  reptilians however, are not of the heavenly company, not God's ministering angels but  the devil's legion and bear an uncanny resemblance to the Overlords, the 'aliens' in Arthur C. Clarke's book, "Childhood's End."  After the long anticipated public emergence of the Overlords the world entered a golden age of peace, security, and plenty in fulfillment of the dream of countless socialist utopians.

Before a vast crowd, Karellen, the chief of the Overlords came forth into the sunlight:

"There was no mistake.  The leathery wings, the little horns, the barbed tail---all were there.  The most terrible of all legends had come to life, out of the unknown past.  Yet now it stood smiling, in ebon majesty, with the sunlight still gleaming upon its tremendous body, and with a human child resting trustfully on either arm." (Clarke, p. 61)

In turn, Clarke's Overlords are very similar to the "extraterrestrial" reptilians encountered by UFO abductees.

Prompted by these encounters, some secular evolutionists now claim that a powerful mechanism is presently available to man from Nordics, greys, and reptilians---the 'extraterrestrials' who will solve mankind's problems and conduct man to a new "cosmic" age. All three alien-types are busily transforming the consciousness of abductees and other Westerners and through them teaching evolution, naturalism and occult New Age philosophy as well as warning of a coming planetary apocalypse, denying the living God, the supernatural dimension and hell.

All of this has led French physicist and UFO researcher Dr. Jacques Vallee to conclude that something is happening to human consciousness that is causing a major shift in man's belief systems and his relationship to the concept of the invisible. Vallee believes that the same "powerful force' that influenced the human race in the past is influencing it again:

".....human belief...is being controlled and conditioned, man's concepts are being rearranged, and we may be headed toward a massive change of human attitudes toward paranormal abilities and extraterrestrial life." (Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p. 109)

In other words, "aliens" are deliberately effecting a spiritual transformation of their human subjects as well as causing them to be receptive toward "extraterrestrials," spirit-powers, signs, wonders and manifestations. UFO entities are perpetrating a massive deception on an apostate West and America.

The striking similarity between modern "alien" abductions and ancient accounts of demons was not lost on UFO researcher John Keel. Keel wrote:

"Demonology...is the ancient and scholarly study of the monsters and demons who have seemingly coexisted with man throughout history. Thousands of books have been written on the subject, many of them authored by clergymen, scientists, and scholars, and uncounted numbers of well-documented demonic events are readily available to every researcher. The manifestations and occurences described in this imposing literature are similar, if not entirely identical, to the UFO phenomenon itself. Victims of demonomania (possession) suffer the very same...symptoms as the UFO contactees...The devil and his demons can, according to the literature, manifest themselves in almost any form and can physically imitate anything from angels to horrifying monsters with glowing eyes. Strange objects and entities materialize and dematerialize...just as the UFOs and their...occupants appear and disappear, walk through walls, and perform other supernatural feats." (Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection, Gary Bates, p. 260)

Dr. Kurt Koch (1913-1987) is considered by many researchers as one of the foremost experts on occult spirituality and spirit contact. Koch described UFO "aliens" as the devil's elite troops, the heralds of the coming Antichrist:

"They often step out of their invisibility by means of materializations to create the greatest possible confusion (and) they turn up in ever greater concentrations as we approach the time of the return of Jesus." (Occult ABCs, p. 342)

From civilizations to men---everything finally dies.  From the moment of birth we are headed toward death.   Jesus Christ, fully God fully man, appeared to put away sin, the sting of death, by the sacrifice of himself:

"And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin to salvation."

There will be no repeat offering of Christ for the lot of men.  Heaven and hell really do exist and once men die judgment follows.  Either eternity in paradise or for the unrepentant, at the point of death the devil stands ready to fall upon them and seize them as his own said Jonathan Edwards (1739) in his powerful sermon, Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God:

"They belong to him; he has their souls in his possession, and under his dominion. The Scripture represents them as his "goods" (Luke 11:21). The devils watch them; they are ever by them, at their right hand; they stand waiting for them, like greedy hungry lions that see their prey, and expect to have it, but are for the present kept back; if God should withdraw his hand, by which they are restrained, they would in one moment fly upon their poor souls."
