I have seen on numerous occasions how prayer has changed lives, brought healing in the midst of pain and given hope to those who felt they had nowhere to turn. Prayer is a powerful tool that God has given to all of us. Prayer has played a pivotal role in America since its inception. From historic national days of prayer (beginning with the Continental Congress) to continuing prayers before congressional sessions, prayer has uniquely bolstered this nation. However, in the halls of our nation's public schools, prayer and expressions of faith are increasingly becoming taboo for many students.
This week, Liberty Counsel filed suit against Colorado's Lewis Palmer School District on behalf of Erica Corder, a high school valedictorian who was forced to publicly apologize for sharing her Christian faith during graduation.
