Excerpt:Â Many people today feel a measure of uncertainty about our nation's future. In fact, 89 percent of the American public says that they disapprove of Congress. This is an astounding number. In many countries, such anxiety would lead to chaos in the streets or an overthrow of the government by force. Thankfully, we live in the greatest democracy in the world, which still adheres to the rule of law. Therefore, we face the future with apprehension about what it might bring. As individuals, we may have difficulty expressing it, but many of us feel for the first time in the history of this great country that we may not be able to pass on to the next generation the same opportunities that were passed on to us. We fear we may be losing control of our destiny and that forces beyond our control are assaulting the cultural freedom we hold dear.
