The new hit "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America" by Paul Sperry and David Gaubatz continues its ride to the top, moving up to No. 16 overall at Amazon.com.

The book just arrived on shelves today, and one day earlier when it was available only under presale conditions, took a dizzying ride that gained more than a million places in mere hours.

"It's like there's no end in sight," said Joseph Farah, founder and CEO of WND Books. "This book has moved up Amazon so fast it's outpaced the site's Movers and Shakers profile – all without any major media. Americans are so hungry for truth on this vitally important matter of national security, they don't need to take their cues from what the establishment press deems popular. I fully expect it to reach No. 1 despite the near-media blackout."

Co-authored by Sperry, an investigative journalist and expert on terrorism, and Gaubatz, a counter-terrorism investigator and former Air Force special agent, "Muslim Mafia" uncovers how the nonprofit Council on American-Islamic Relations fronts for established terror networks intent on bringing the United States under the authority of the Quran.

In a courageous act of high-risk surveillance that stretched for six months, Gaubatz' own son, Chris Gaubatz, posed as recent Islam convert David Marshall and served as an intern at CAIR's national headquarters in Washington, D.C. Gaubatz spirited out 12,000 pages of documents during the secret operation.

The findings alarmed officials. Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., founder of the anti-terrorism caucus, joined Reps. Trent Franks, R-Ariz.; John Shadegg, R-Ariz.; and Paul Broun, R-Ga., in petitioning the Department of Justice to share with Congress an executive summary of findings that led the FBI to officially sever ties with CAIR.

CAIR's in-house legal counsel had sent a fax to Myrick Tuesday alleging the authors had engaged in "criminal actions" and warning that a report against them already had been filed with law enforcement authorities.

The faxed letter from CAIR's Nadhira al-Khalili noted the Washington-based group had been forewarned of yesterday's press conference Myrick held with Shadegg, Franks and Broun. The lawmakers also called for an end to political lobbying by groups such as CAIR.

Franks said the anti-terror caucus fears CAIR has planted "spies" inside Congress targeting sensitive committees dealing with homeland security.

"It's the water inside the ship that sinks it," he warned.

On the day before it hit shelves, "Muslim Mafia" charted at No. 1,073,896 at 10 a.m. Eastern. In 24 hours it was No. 1 in the categories of current events, Islam and terrorism., freedom & security and No. 5 in nonfiction.
