Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 2/21/2010 4:15:00 AM A sizable Planned Parenthood abortion facility is now open in Portland, Oregon.
The abortion clinic is the largest in Oregon and is expected to be one of the largest in the country. Gayle Atteberry, director of Oregon Right to Life, tells more about its location. "They closed their older facility, and this new one is right on the edge of the African-American community," she explains. "[It's] the biggest one in Portland and the biggest one in the state."
The Oregon pro-lifer suspects the clinic's location was not chosen randomly, but that it was established there to carry out the nationwide goal of Planned Parenthood.
"It is consistent to what they are doing around the nation, and we've seen in the figures that the largest percentage of abortions per-capita are done in the black community," Atteberry reports.
That accusation is supported in a documentary called Maafa 21, produced by Life Dynamics. The film traces the beginning of Planned Parenthood to its founder, Margaret Sanger, and the eugenics movement which was designed to wipe out so-called "inferior people" through abortion and birth control.
The pro-life community in Portland has now moved its sidewalk counseling to the new Planned Parenthood in hopes of continuing to save the lives of unborn babies.
