No Violence - It is not the way of Christ

Worth Readingby Ben Sieira

Violence was never the way of Christ. Do not be tempted by the wickedness of the haters of truth to incite violence. They endlessly proclaim their innocence in all matters of their own laws but in darkness they do extreme violence to the laws of God. Do not be partakers with them, for any who partake of the feast of the beast will also partake of the wrath of Almighty God.

Christ does not need our help to defend Him. His work of the cross is done, and it is a perfect work. Let us continue to choose to be innocent before His throne, despite the violence of the anti-christs all around us. It is acceptable to defend ourselves against their direct and physical violence, but beware that should you live by the sword, then by it you will die.

We are to be witnesses of the truth, that is, witnesses of the Christ. This is not about ramming the truth down anybody's throat. We cannot save souls as so many have falsely proclaimed. Only God has that power. We are to WITNESS, that is, provide the testimony of Christ, of who He is, of what He has done, of the coming fulfillment of the completion of the establishment of God's kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. By this witness we bring forth a response from onlookers and by that response, by their very words, they will be judged - by their own words - whether for good or for evil, for life or for death, and it is all in God's hand. We can discourage people from wickedness, we can try to turn a man from his evil path but we cannot save a soul. You cannot save yourself, let alone another man.

However, we must first live the truth, not talk about it. We must learn to preach what we practice and not practice what we preach. Practice must always come first before we even open our mouths, for an undisciplined mind and body will have an undisciplined tongue. We live the truth and by that set the glaring example of Christ before all men, and then if called to account for our ways, only then will we have a ready word directly from the Living Spirit of God just when we need it, for He prepares us for such days, if we truly follow Him.

Do not be concerned about what you will say, do not rehearse it in your minds, for to do so reveals that you are relying on your own intellect and not on the powerful presence of the Spirit of the Almighty Ever Living God. Man's thoughts are utterly contemptible foolishness to God, for God's thoughts are higher above man's than are the extremities of the darkest outer reaches of the cosmos above the core of the earth. Rehearsing your claims is tantamount to thinking that you can outwit Satan. Make no mistake, our true enemy is, though finite, of extraordinary intelligence, and though he knows the truth yet chooses to deny it to himself (for he knows the Christ yet denies Christ's saving power because we see that trait in those who adhere to his lies, and all deceptions begin with self-deception, all delusion with self-delusion), he is not without cleverness in his wickedness, for he knows each and every failing of man, and each and every temptation by which man can come undone. It is the work of the evil one to ultimately consume the corrupt with utter destruction, like flies exist to eliminate decaying (that is, corrupted) flesh, so too does Beelzebub exist to devour the wickedness of man, and should a soul become completely given over to wickedness, the end of it is certain, the wrath of God is upon it and remains upon it. That soul that sins will die. But we have Christ's salvation and he has overcome the ultimate consequences of our sins in His death and resurrection. In Him, we are without sin, despite our failings, if we profess His lordship and His salvation for us, if we repent of our wickedness from the heart then by His forgiveness we are becoming as He is.

We know ahead of time the end for corrupt and unrepentant law makers... Isaiah 10:1-4 Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless, what will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches? Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain.

Please, people, choose prayer over sword, righteousness of Christ over man's laws, foreknowledge in scripture and God's Word over vacuous threats of wicked men, no matter how much violence they bring against the children of light, if we are indeed children of the true light then though our flesh may be killed by man, the light of life is in us and should we perish then yet will we awaken again to the song of rejoycing angels and an eternal celebration. The sun will never go down on us again.

Be doers of the ways of the true Christ, the man who about 2000 years ago was crucified for our sins, who shed His life blood as payment for our iniquities, but whose incorruptible flesh could not be held by the bonds of death and who's very DNA continues eternally incorruptible. Some call Him Jesus of Nazareth, some prefer Yeshua or Yehoshua of Nazareth (which are indeed the very same name as Joshua), no matter which way we pronounce it, it is not the particular way we say it that matters, but it is the defining character of God that is His true name, and those truly born of the Spirit of God know that name deep within their spirits, for He lives with us, now and forever. He is the vine, we are the branches, now and forever grafted to Him and therefore to take on His likeness, for His character in us is the true fruit of the Spirit.

See, He has told us all things ahead of time. All we need to learn is to listen, trust and be obedient to Him. All the good works will follow from that. As He said, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these (other) things will be added unto us. God Himself teaches us - if we are willing to listen.

May the Light of the Eternal Ever Living God shine upon you and upon your path, even in the darkest hours that are before us now, and by His Spirit we will see and know all things, and fear will flee as does darkness before light.

Choose Christ, not violence.

Amen (so be it)
