Worth ReadingApril 23, 2010 – A confrontational LGBT group known as GetEQUAL invaded a House Committee on Education and Labor Committee meeting on April 21 to demand passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).
The protestors held signs up in front of Committee Chairman Rep. George Miller (D-CA) and demanded that action be taken immediately to pass ENDA.
The video shows Miller politely responding to them. Miller is a pro-LGBT partisan who fully expects to get ENDA passed this year. He told the protestors: “It’s a really complicated piece of legislation. We want to get it right, but we expect to have it before this committee in the very near future.â€
Had it been a non-LGBT group, they would have been arrested or hauled out of the committee immediately. More, video: http://worthreading.ning.com/profiles/blogs/lgbt-activists-interrupt-house
