"I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the descendants of Jacob, Seek me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right" Isaiah 45:19 The Lord delivers two essential warnings here. The first is a warning against listening to pagan oracles, or mediums who transmit teachings from demons. The second is a warning against seeking Him in the void, or Chaos (watery abyss) as it was known and worshipped by ancient Sumerians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians and later on by Greeks and Romans and then century's later by contemporary neo-pagan 'scientistic materialists' as the nothingness out of which Darwin's primordial pond scum spontaneously generated itself.
The ancient poet Hesiod (est. 900 B.C.) tells us that the first thing in existence was Chaos, "the yawning and void receptacle for created matter."
The word Chaos soon lost its' original meaning and became known as the non-lifebearing one-substance (monism) out of which the heavens, earth, gods, goddesses, mankind, animals, and all else emerged or evolved. (Earth's Earliest Ages, G.H. Pember, p. 28)
Ovid describes the one-substance as an "unformed and confused bulk." In his Fasti he makes Janus, whom he identifies with Chaos say,
"The ancients used to call me Chaos: for a primeval being being am I (who had been) but a shapeless bulk, (which has now) passed into a form and limbs worthy of a god." (Fasti i. 103-112)
With the Egyptians it was Ra who created himself from the watery abyss which he calls Nu.
Thus according to the ancient evolutionary cosmogenies of Babylonia and Egypt on through to Greece, Rome, and thence to modern evolutionary neo-pagans, the universe and life evolved out of Chaos, or non-life. What this means is that living beings created themselves from nothing, as Dr. Wolfgang Smith, physicist and mathematics professor at Oregon State University affirms:
"...As a scientific theory, Darwinism would have been jettisoned long ago. The point, however, is that the doctrine of evolution has swept the world, not on the strength of its scientific merits, but precisely in its capacity as a Gnostic myth. It affirms, in effect, that living things created themselves, which is in essence a metaphysical claim....Thus...evolutionism is a metaphysical doctrine decked out in scientific garb....it is a scientistic myth. And the myth is Gnostic, because it implicitly denies the transcendent origin of being; for indeed, only after the living creature has been speculatively reduced to an aggregate of particles does Darwinist transformism become conceivable. Darwinism, therefore, continues the ancient Gnostic practice of deprecating 'God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth.' It perpetuates...the venerable Gnostic tradition of 'Jehovah bashing.'" (From Old Gnosticism to New Age I, Alan Morrison, SCP Journal Vol. 28:4-29:1, 2005, pp. 30-31)
The living, transcendent God warns all people not to seek Him in vain, whether in the void, watery abyss, Darwin's pond scum, Hegel's Geist, Marx's dialectical matter, the Force or Teilhard's Omega Point, for God is not there, and where the living God is not there is no source for life, consciousness, soul, or spirit.
There was a void out of which God, the Source of Life, called all things into existence. Of all Christian doctrines the most difficult to understand is that of creatio ex nihilo (creation out of nothing). Early Church Father Irenaeus comments,
"God, in the exercise of his will and pleasure, formed all things...out of what did not previously exist."
Returning to our Lords' first warning, God declares that He does not speak in secret. He does not imitate pagan oracles by uttering His Law, predictions and statutes from dark, deep caverns.
Barnes Notes on the Bible tell us:
"The pagan responses were usually given from some dark cavern or recess, doubtless the bettcr to impress with awe the minds of those who consulted the oracles, and to make them more ready to credit the revelations of the fancied god. Such was the seat of the Sybil, mentioned by Virgil, AEn. vi. 4 and the famous oracle at Delphi. Strobe (ix.) says, 'The oracle is said to be a hollow cavern of considerable depth, with an opening not very wide.' Diodorus, giving an account of this oracle, says, 'that there was in that place a great chasm, or cleft in the earth; in which very place is now situated what is called the Adytum of the temple..."
God warns against listening to pagan oracles (mediums) and nature philosophers because demons are the source of their utterances, predictions, doctrines and science. In Malachi Martin's New York Times bestseller, "Hostage to the Devil: The Possession and Exorcism of Five Contemporary Americans" are revealed many doctrines of demons, including the doctrine of the non-lifebearing one-substance (monism, watery chaos, void) out of which all things are said to have emerged and of which all things are held to be mere parts of:
Exorcist to demon, "Where were you leading Carl?"
Demon, "To the knowledge that humans are just part of the universe...That they are parts of a greater physical being...The universe of matter (and of psychic forces)."
Exorcist, "Why did you lead Carl in this way?"
Demon, "Because he would lead others (and) then they belong to the Kingdom." (pp. 390-391)
Darwinism is materialist monism and the materialist Karl Marx, father of the Communist Manifesto, was a monist, making Marx a teacher of doctrines of demons, for which reason the great apocalyptic prophet Dostoevsky identified Marx along with Hegel and other God-haters as the Grand Inquisitor in his novel The Brothers Karamazov. Though the Grand Inquisitor is not the devil, his mind is in tune with the devil's mind. The Inquisitor does the bidding of the devil, which is why we hear the Inquistor as Marx and Bakunin saying things like:
"Our war is against God and the world created by Him, declared Karl Marx, father of the Communist Manifesto. In his poem, "The Pale Maiden" he admits that he has willfully opted for Hell:
"Thus heaven I've forfeited; I know it full well; My soul, once true to God; Is chosen for hell." (Marx & Satan, Richard Wurmbrand, p. 22)
"The Evil One is the satanic revolt against divine authority....Socialists recognize each other by the words, "In the name of the one to whom a great wrong has been done....Satan (is) the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and the emancipator of worlds." (Mikhail Bakunin, comrade of Marx, ibid, p. 27)

And now we know why our Lord warned us not to heed the sayings of oracles, necromancers, mediums, contemporary channelers, and nature teachers and philosophers (Hegel, Marx, evolutionists), for to listen may cause you to 'belong to the Kingdom.'
