While They Are Sleeping: Christians Helping to Raise Up A Global Tower

Though we have long thought that scientific materialism, secular humanism, positivism, naturalism, Darwinism, Transhumanism, socialism, and other aspects of Modern Progressivism are grounded in reason and science, all are in fact strands of Gnostic pantheism. The nineteenth century apocalyptic prophet Fyodor Dostoevsky was not fooled by Modernism's pretenses. He ripped aside its' mask to reveal what he called the "devilish Gnostic irreligionists" hiding behind it. Dostoevsky foresaw the rise of Gnostic totalitarian socialism in Russia. Desperately concerned for his country he declared in 1879 that,

"a second tower of Babel stands in the place of the high ideals created by Christ. The sublime view of human nature sinks down to the view of an animal herd and, under the banner of social love, shows entirely unconcealed its contempt for mankind." (Political Apocalypse: A Study of Dostoevsky's Grand Inquisitor, Ellis Sandoz)

Dostoevsky is saying that with Jesus Christ came affirmation that all men really are the spiritual image-bearers of the transcendent Triune God and that each person is therefore a trinity of being — of soul, spirit, and body. But God-hating devilish Gnostics have done away with the "high ideals created by Christ." Through their irreligious ideologies they have replaced the Triune God with their soulless communist God-State while through their Gnostic science, particularly scientific materialism which claims that all that exists is matter and energy and with the myth of evolution, which claims that life created itself from nothing they have conceptually reduced mankind to soulless aspects of the God-State. Though not readily apparent, modern Gnosticism is a very subtly disguised pantheism passing itself off as evolutionary science, reason, and progress.

Dostoevsky clearly saw that with the supernatural God out of the picture, it logically follows that there is no source for life, consciousness, soul, spirit and will, or for human dignity, worth, liberty, and property. And this is Gnosticism's unconcealed contempt for mankind.

The soulless communist Tower ultimately failed because human beings really are spiritual, hence they would not worship the Tower.

To bring them into submission, a 'new' occult pagan-spirituality would be needed to finally supercede and transform the hated Christian faith. Nature would be both respiritualized and divinized:

“Christianity, in absolute contrast to ancient paganism and Asia’s religions…not only established a dualism of man and nature but also insisted that it is God’s will that man exploit nature for his proper ends. At the level of the common people this worked out in an interesting way. In antiquity every tree, every spring, every stream, every hill had its own genius loci, its guardian spirit. These spirits were accessible to men…Before one cut a tree, mined a mountain, or dammed a brook, it was important to placate the spirit in charge of that particular situation, and to keep it placated. By destroying pagan animism, Christianity made it possible to exploit nature in a mood of indifference to the feelings of natural objects.” (All For Gaia: Earth Day and Total Transformation for a Post-Christian World, Carl Teichrib, Forcing Change,

http://forcingchange.wordpress.com/2011/04/19/all-for-gaia-earth-day-and-total-transformation-for-a-post-christian-world/ )

The Earth Day ritual revives pagan animism and occult spirituality, and said Teichrib, has become the modern celebration of the goddess Gaia:

"Partakers of this event, whether aware of it or not, play off the ancient pagan beliefs of a Universal Mother. Like the sacred oaths taken in her name, today’s Earth Day celebrants sign environmental petitions, make pledges, and announce resolutions in support of Mother Earth. And like the old sacrifices to the deity, today’s Earth Day practitioners offer sacrifices of “good works” to the planet. Not only is the Earth a deity to be venerated, but the Earth itself – as the representative and embodiment of the Goddess – has become a modern day idol."

The transcendent Creator did not create mankind, said an enthusiastic Gaia worshipper:

“Earth is more than just a spaceship. She is our Mother. She gave us life. There is nowhere else to go but to stay and love her.” – (ibid, Reader’s comment regarding John Kerry’s Earth Day blog)

Kenneth Brower, an aspiring shaman adds:

“What was it that enabled Eskimo shamen, their minds a product of the taiga, tundra, and sea ice, to travel on spirit journeys under the ocean and to talk with the fishes and the potent beings who lived on the bottom? How did the shamen develop the hypnotic power they employed in their séances? What can we learn from the shamen who survive about thought transference and ESP? The answers are in the arctic wilderness still left to us. Wilderness is a bench mark, a touchstone…New perspectives come out of the wilderness. Jesus, Zoroaster, Moses, and Mohammed went to the wilderness and came back with messages…This handbook, and the teach-in it serves, have their beginnings in wilderness.” (ibid).

Nothing short of total transformation of religious, moral, political, and social structures will do:

“Nothing short of total transformation will do much good. What we envision is a planet on which the human population lives harmoniously and dynamically by employing a sophisticated and unobtrusive technology in a world environment which is ‘left natural’…Cultural and individual pluralism, unified by a type of world tribal council.” (Four Changes, ibid)

Legions of Gnostic utopians have been working to completely overturn the Christian worldview and replace it with pantheism:

“It seems evident that there are throughout the world certain social and religious forces which have worked through history toward an ecologically and culturally enlightened state of affairs. Let these be encouraged: Gnostics, hip Marxists, Teilhard de Chardin Catholics, Druids, Taoists, Biologists, Witches, Yogins, Bhikkus, Quakers, Sufis, Tibetans, Zens, Shamans, Bushmen, American Indians, Polynesians, Anarchists, Alchemists…the list is long. All primitive cultures, all communal and ashram movements. Since it doesn’t seem practical or even desirable to think that direct bloody force will achieve much, it would be best to consider this a continuing ‘revolution of consciousness’ which will be won not by guns but by seizing the key images, myths, archetypes, eschatologies, and ectasies so that life won’t seem worth living unless one’s on the transforming energy’s side.” (ibid).

Total transformation is urgently needed because Gaia is angry:

“The reasons why there are so many natural disasters and severe weather changes, is because Mother Earth is angry with the people.”

(ibid, http://rainbowmotherearth.ning.com.)

“The earth is parched. There is not enough water. Fires will rage. Some things are beyond the control of humans. Mother earth is angry, showing us the limits to our power. Let us learn from her.”

(ibid, http://bluebanshee.wordpress.com/2008/07/28/earth-fire-and-water )

More than 6 million Canadians join 500 million people in over 180 countries in staging events and projects to address local environmental issues, said Teichrib,

" Nearly every school child in Canada takes part in an Earth Day activity.” ("Earth Day Canada," Teichrib)

Many Christian congregations are jumping onto the "save the planet" bandwagon, some because they are asleep, others with full consent and complicity.

One example is San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral. During the 2001 Earth Day, Grace held an interfaith song-celebration for the planet:

"“The music will be an eclectic blend of the world’s musical traditions. Tibetan temple bells will blend with the Cathedral Organ. Vocal performances will range from Native American and Muslim Chants to Spirituals and Choral canticles. Representatives from a diverse range of religious paths will participate in the festivities, including Native American, Islamic, Hindu, Jewish, Pagan, and Christian.” (ibid, Grace Cathedral news release, “A Song of Creation: An Interfaith Earth Day Celebration at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco,” www.ewire.com/display.cfm/Wire_ID/175 )

Behind the push to involve the Christian community in earth worship is the Earth Day Network (EDN). EDN hopes that influential religious leaders will move the Gnostic global agenda forward.

Teichrib reveals that EDN's International Council is comprised of the some of the world’s most influential globalists:

1.Lester Brown, Worldwatch.

2. Gro Harlem Brundtland, Director of the World Health Organization.

3. Robert Kennedy Jr., Senior Attorney, Natural Resources Defence Council.

4. Gus Speth, former UN Development Programme official.

4. Maurice Strong, President of the Earth Council and former UN Special Advisor.

5. David Suzuki, Canada’s leading environmentalist.

6. Klaus Toepfer, Executive Director of the UN Environmental Programme.

What began as a movement to respiritualize and divinize nature while simultaneously “demonizing” Christianity, procreation, the traditional family, private property, and nationalism with the purpose of driving America’s youth to an occult-spiritual pagan, socialist Age of Aquarius where male and female have been merged into the oneness of androgyny and people are no longer individuals but aspects of Mother Earth, has now been enthusiastically embraced by increasing numbers of churches.

Whether unwittingly or wittingly, churches are actively aiding and abetting the systemic attack on Jesus Christ and Biblical values while simultaneously enabling the rise of a global Tower, a symbol of Gnosticism's unconcealed contempt for mankind.
