The Cosmic Egg (Big Bang), Great Chain of Being (Evolutionary Theory), and Chronos Magic

Over on the conservative Christian Free Republic forum, discussion between Christians and evolutionists centers around a PHYS.ORG article entitled, "Faster Ticking Clock' Indicates Early Solar System May Have Evolved Faster Than We Think:" "Our solar system is four and a half billion years old, but its formation may have occurred over a shorter period of time than we previously thought, says an international team of researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and universities and laboratories in the US and Japan."

In response to Christian skeptics one evolutionist said:

"The formation of the solar system came long long after the big bang. The presence of heavy elements shows that we are a later generation development - condensed out of the remnants of earlier supernovae explosions."

All non-Biblical nature religions and philosophical belief systems trace their origins in one way or another to chaos. Chaos, rather than the transcendent Triune God is the source and origin of all things and the undergirding energy or force of the cosmos of which all things exist in continuity, meaning that man shares the substance of Chaos. The Genesis account on the other hand speaks of the Triune God as discontinuous with His creation, meaning that man has no share in God's being (substance).

Creation then is not seen as an act of the supernatural God but as an ongoing mechanical process or evolution which has its' beginning with Chaos, which ancients believed had always existed. In the nature religions of antiquity, the gods themselves evolved out of Chaos and through a process of transmigration over time in many different bodies they eventually became gods.

According to the updated 'scientific' version of ancient evolutionary cosmogonies, before anything else there was a void (nothingness) out of which emerged self-created primordial matter (Chaos, watery abyss).

In some ancient and modern accounts such as the Big Bang theory, primordial matter takes the form of a cosmic egg.

Circling the cosmic egg was Chronos (Time) and his consort, the serpentine Ananke (Inevitability, Predestination; Fate; Determinism; Natural Causes). They split the egg apart (big bang) to form the universe of earth, sea, sky, and life.

Process philosophy (transmigration of life or spirit over time) is merely an updated version of the ancient pagan concept of the Great Scale of Being and/or the Great Chain of Being.

American anthropologist, educator, philosopher, and natural science writer Loren Eiseley (1907-1977), elaborates:

"All that the Chain of Being actually needed to become a full-fledged evolutionary theory was the introduction into it of the conception of time in vast quantities added to mutability of form. It demanded, in other words, a universe not made but being made continuously....As we look back upon the long reign reign of the Scale of Being....we may observe that the seed of evolution lay buried in this traditional metaphysic which indeed prepared the Western mind for its acceptance." (The Long War Against God: The History and Impact of the Creation/Evolution Conflict, Dr. Henry Morris, pp. 185-186)

As with the 'Great Chain of Being' Darwin's Tree of Life illustrates his idea that however improbable, all of today's species nevertheless evolved over time from a single common ancestor that supposedly evolved out of (hatched out of) matter or chemicals (cosmic egg) lying upon or within primordial waters of the earth.

As Eiseley pointed out, in order for the Chain of Being (process philosophy) to become a full-fledged evolutionary theory it required two things, immutability (macroevolution) and "vast quantities" of time (Chronos). Without Time evolution is ‘dead in the water.’ Evolutionary biologist (and subsequent Nobel Laureate) George Wald concurs. Writing in Scientific American in 1954 about the origin of life, Wald said that however improbable:

“ … given enough time it will almost certainly happen at least once … . Time is in fact the hero of the plot … . Given so much time, the ‘impossible’ becomes possible, the possible probable, and the probable virtually certain. One has only to wait; time itself performs the miracles.” (Time is the Hero,

Chronos is the hero, the god who can even cause a "Faster Ticking Clock.' Chronos is the magician who makes probable the improbable, meaning that with enough Chronos 'fairy-dust' life can create itself from nothing. And because all things are in continuity with the Ultimate Substance (Chaos) then like the gods, man can through an imaginary process of transmigration over time in many different bodies eventually became one of the gods because evolution, whether Darwinian or a spiritual conception such as Teilhard’s idea, serves as an imaginary mechanism of perfection for man, said Catholic historian, Professor Thomas Molnar in his book, “Utopia: The Perennial Heresy.” (p. 235)

Returning to our totally deceived Free Republic evolutionist, we can now make sense of his claims in light of the Cosmic Egg mythos. He said, “The presence of heavy elements...” show that “...we are a later generation development - condensed out of the remnants of earlier supernovae explosions.”

In other words, before anything else there was a void (nothingness) out of which emerged self-created primordial matter in the form of a Cosmic Egg. Upon its explosion (Big Bang) the universe of earth, sea, sky, and life evolved over vast quantitities of Time (and lots of fairy-dust) into what they are today. Because all things are in continuity with the Egg (primordial matter) that is itself in a continuous process of becoming (evolving) the 'presence of heavy elements' demonstrate that "we are a later generation development - condensed (hatched) out of the remnants of earlier supernovae explosions.”

Now either the living, personal supernatural Triune God IS, and He called all things into existence from nothing (creatio ex nihilo) or primordial matter (cosmic egg) spontaneously generated itself from nothing (void, abyss) after which all things and life evolved (hatched) over vast quantities of Time (Chronos fairy-dust) into what they are today.
