"Green" Paganism Taking Over and Transforming Christian Theism

The Babylonian evolutionary cosmogony, Enuma Elish, was found in Ninevah, the capital of the Assyrians. It begins with an account of origins. Specifically, it assumes that life and all other things mechanically evolved out of water, or primordial matter. The later evolutionary cosmogony of Egypt speaks of the self-created Sun-God Ra evolving out of Nu--primordial matter:

“I came into being from primordial matter…I made all the forms under which I appeared by means of (or out of) the god-soul which I raised up out of Nu (i.e., the primeval abyss of water.) (The Long War Against God, Dr. Henry Morris, p. 243)

This is naturalism, or materialism, which is the belief that there is neither living God nor heavenly realm. There is only the natural dimension, and it is alive with energies, divine spirit, Zoe, god-soul, and consciousness.

One-dimensional naturalism is in every way the antithesis of two-dimensional supernatural Christian theism.

Christendom and Protestant America arose on the wings of Christian theism, primarily the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo, the Biblical view of man as the spiritual image-bearer of the Triune God---even though fallen (sinful condition)---and God’s Moral Law. But from the Renaissance to our own time, a stunning spiritual transformation of consciousness has shifted Western and American thinking away from the supernatural God and biblical religion and toward one-dimensional naturalism (materialism and pantheism) and its' primary doctrine, evolution.

Evolutionary thinking has successfully captured the minds of millions of Westerners, including large numbers of Christians over and across the entire denominational spectrum. World-renowned scientist and environmentalist James Lovelock figures among those whose minds have been taken captive.

Rather than a materialist Lovelock is a pantheist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory.

While modern evolutionary materialism teaches that the supernatural Creator, the heavenly realm, first principles, moral law, souls and afterlife do not exist, modern pantheism teaches that after millions of years of evolution, a god of nature has finally emerged out of matter much like Ra emerged out of primordial matter. With respect to this, evolution has become conscious of itself and nature (matter) has become spiritualized. Hence it is both divine and alive with spiritualized matter---Zoe, god-soul, and consciousness.

In this way of thinking, which is Lovelocks,' planet earth represents a massive aggregate of divine spiritualized matter, thus it is goddess Gaia. And if this is true, then Lovelock thinks it reasonable to believe that "global warming" is harming Gaia and further, that human beings are responsible. For all of this, human-hating green enviro-pantheists have worshipped and adored Lovelock.

But now for whatever reason, Lovelock is back-pedaling to some extent. Though he still believes anthropogenic global warming is occurring and that mankind must lower its greenhouse gas emissions, he now says that doomsday predictions, including his own and Al Gore’s are incorrect and that greens treat global warming like a religion. Lovelock adds that green religion is taking over Christian theism:

“It just so happens that the green religion is now taking over from the Christian religion.....I don’t think people have noticed that, but it’s got all the sort of terms that religions use … The greens use guilt. That just shows how religious greens are. You can’t win people round by saying they are guilty for putting (carbon dioxide) in the air.” (Green Drivel Exposed, Toronto Sun)

Green pantheism has been making inroads into supernatural Christian theism for many years now. A primary example of this is the Earth Summit's green pagan Christ figure who says, "I give you death and that most abundantly."

According to green neo-pagans the saving of Gaia requires death on a vast scale. Some hold that everyone but one-billion people must die while zero-populationists call for the eradication of every man, woman, and child.

Tom DeWeese, author of “Teachers, Preachers and Greens…The Unholy Alliance to Transform America" writes that many years ago neo-pagan New World Order globalists launched an assault against America's education system and churches for the purpose of transforming the consciousness of Americans:

“the American public school system and America’s Christian churches (were targeted because) These were the breeding grounds for the out of step American ideas.” Of the two, supernatural Christianity is the most important because it is “the very source of those ideals, as stated by the Founders over and over again, came from Christian teachings. In short, Christianity is the root of American culture.”

The take-over of the American public education system has been accomplished. Thus today it is a major tool in the drive to paganize Americans, thereby destroying from within the American ideal.

The planned assault on the Church began in 1993. At that time 67,000 Christian congregations were targeted by a highly organized and well funded effort to supercede and paganize the hated Christian faith.

The driving force behind the assault on Christian churches is the National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE). The Partnership is a formal agreement among four of the nation’s largest religious organizations, the U.S. Catholic Conference, National Council of Churches, Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life, and the Evangelical Environmental Network.

In addition, the neo-pagan Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) holds a special “consultative” relationship with the Partnership. Funding comes from (among others) Pew Charitable Trusts, Stephen C. Rockefeller, the Turner Foundation, W. Alton Jones Foundation and the New World Foundation, said DeWeese.

NRPE seeks to steer undiscerning churches away from solid Christian teachings and instead, become a driving force behind the modern revival of pagan animism and occult spirituality. NRPE parters with the New Age National Council of Churches of Christ Eco-Justice Programs:

In turn, the NCCC is a crucial member of the Earth Day Network,

“Behind the push to involve the Christian community in earth worship is the Earth Day Network (EDN). EDN hopes that influential religious leaders will move the Gnostic global agenda forward. National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE) operates out of an Anglican church in New York City called St. John the Divine, where ‘worship services’ are decidely peculiar:

“As the congregation sit in their church pews in the great Cathedral of St. John, the Divine in New York City, the priest stands at the alter, ready to receive a procession of animals for the annual Feast of Saint Francis blessing. Down the aisle comes a procession of elephants, camels, donkeys, monkeys and birds. These are followed by members of the congregation carrying bowls of compost and worms. Next, to the sounds of music, come acrobats and jugglers. In the pulpit, former Vice President Al Gore delivers a sermon, saying, “God is not separate from the Earth.” (DeWeese)

The Cathedral is also the home of the Gaia Institute and the Temple of Understanding, an official United Nations Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). A prominent member of the Temple of Understanding is occultist Maurice Strong, Secretary General of the UN’s Earth Summit, which produced the Biodiversity Treaty and Agenda 21.

Strong owns the Baca ranch in Colorado where he has raised up many high places, including ashrams and a Babylonian sun god temple. The Baca is known as the Vatican City of the New World Order. Strong told the Earth Summit,

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”

For both "new" pagan scientific materialism or the spiritual science of modern pantheism the animated force or god-force called evolution is the principle miracle-producing power of the cosmos. Its' sweeping acceptance means that it is now difficult if not impossible for Westerners, including Christians, to even conceive of the supernatural God's revelation to mankind, for the spirit of evolution has inverted the order of creation, reversed the direction of Biblical theism, and imprisoned their minds within a psychic cage.

Having turned away from the supernatural living God, they have fallen into darkness, where with eyes wide shut they see only the things of this world.
